Some characters look so similar to their voice actors like Hosea and Strauss. I feel like Rockstar designed some of these people off their voice actors.

if the face seems fitting for the character they love to do that however they tend to give them some rougher facial features look at trevor from gta 5 you can easily notice the similarities but you can clearly see where they took some creative liberty
I like how people are surprised a lot of characters look like the actors. It's almost like they used motion capture or something
You know that motion capture dosn't mean that the characters need to look like the actor, because you know it's MOTION capture, rockstar made the choice to make the characters looks like the actors but it's a visual design choice, not a requirement

That's because a lot of games have used voice actors that can mocap and match the look of a character, Cole Mcgrath from infamous had to change actors because of this
Hosea definitely looks like his voice actor Sadie kinda does as well
John Malley it makes it easier with facial capturing. It’s hard remolding dots for the facial expressions on a whole new face. I’m sure Dutch took a while.

It's ACTOR, not voice actor. They do motion capture which is literally acting. Benjamin Byron has always emphasized it.

That's why I support the idea of Rockstar that their games are not translated into other languages.There is no sense in this banal because the games will immediately lose their charm. For example, I live in Russia, and in our dubs they never try to convey the accent, only occasionally. I am glad that I was able to enjoy these games in the original voice acting with subtitles. Incredibly colossal work...So many accents and different races.

@@AverageAlien pretty sure cause in a massive project like rdr2 that took about 7 years to do, 1)kid's voice would actually change a lot if you think about it. 2)It's really hard working with kids
@@AverageAlien Child actors under either 16 or 18 can only work so many hours in a day, and they would have had to hire a tutor for the kid because they still would have school. Plus most of the motion capture took a few years, so a child's voice would have changed a lot in just a few years. It was just a lot easier for Rockstar to hire a female actress.
