My camera is purely for proof of what happened if I get into an accident. The Akaso has been fine for this. I am looking into the Insta 360 though. Otherwise, I have no interest in watching videos of my rides.
I love my gopro hero 9. I had a 10 and it would overheat. I too bought a cheap Amazon 4k action camera. It wasnt even close to the gopro. Was some odd name like mafomil. But at $90 and a terrible app it wasn't worth much. Also the gopro does amazing time lapse. And also i do night time star lapse with mine. I like the cheap walmart onn go pro accessories kit. Be careful with the Insta360, the phone app requires many different permissions on your phone. I thought the app was asking for too many permission, so I check for any outgoing connections from the app on my phone. The app was connected to a server in shenzhen China, and if you do not allow the permissions on your phone, it does not allow you to use the app or the camera properly.
Yeah I got the meatball flag - that’s the signal for “get off the track you idiot so we can have a chat with you about your bad behavior” - for standing my buddy up. That’s not a recommended move either. Don’t do this at home boys and girls!
I actually did a test for battery life that I planned to include in the video, but… it made the video too long so I cut it out. I’ll be doing a follow up video with the results of my test. For now I’ll say that the X3 did quite well. 😉👍🏼

This is a terrific review. However, an update would be amazing as there are a lot of new models in both the Insta360 & GoPro lineups
