"Coach, what do I need to too for improvement?" *Bob Wylie pulls out a late 90s National Geographic Wildlife documentary DVD from his cargo shorts pocket and hands to player* "Everything you need to know is right here." *Walks away breathing heavily*
Shout out to coach Bob Wylie. He was a position coach when I was playing college football at Ohio University back in the late 80s. Still got that New England accent and the jokes. And for the record he was driving a Porche back then.
One question...how the fuck did he fit in a Porsche? I'm sure he wasn't as big then, but I'm positive he was already fat. A body like that don't happen overnight, takes alot of hard work and dedication to achieve that. Lots of late night eating, hitting the buffets daily.
Bob spent a week at my high school with my O line he had us literally perfect 2 plays and we scored on them 2 plays every game he went over each play for like 3 hours a piece making sure every piece was perfect
Nope he’s been an NFL Coach for decades. New York Jets 1990-1991, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1992-1995, Cincinnati Bengals 1997-1998, Chicago Bears 1999-2003, Denver Broncos 2010, Oakland Raiders 2011, Cleveland Browns 2017-Present.
is there a reason Giants fans are not only making fun of the Browns, but making fun of anybody else period? even with the Browns going winless last year...……. I mean... you root for the fuckin' Giants lmao
Ohio Against The World Relax dude it’s a joke. The guy doesn’t look like an ordinary NFL coach. The Giants went 3-13 last year and the last time they had a 3 win season was in 1983. The Browns have been winning 1 game every 2 years for the past decade so really anybody in the league can make fun of the Browns right now.
joe schmoe Nice quote from Zombieland but they do stretch when they wake up and before they hunt. Obviously not right before they take down the gazelle though. Just like an offensive lineman doesn’t stretch before a play or before he makes a block.
Great to see Coach Wylie still at it. I had the privilege to be a O lineman under him at UC (95-97). He took care of his players and his techniques are just as sound.
He’s that rare breed of coaches/teachers that know how to tie in concepts using great examples and projecting a calm demeanor, almost like you’re taking to someone you’ve known all your life. You don’t have to yell all the time or want to bite someone’s head off to get your point across and this man does a great job of demonstrating that.
People laughed at the guy but he's a good coach, the Browns offensive line has always been solid the past few years. This year they're A top 5 unit by PFF measurements.
He believes in babystepping. His brilliant therapist Dr Leo Marvin taught him how to implement babystepping into every facet of human existence and the dude is savage. He's a really eccentric personality though. He uses paper tissue to shake people's hand and takes his pet goldfish in a jar with him when he's really nervous.
1:04 the modern concept of stretching was not a common practice at the time, however, soldiers did have to learn and perform aerobic exercises in order to help loosen the body before training
The browns o line is there only good thing. There quarterbacks suck huge ass. Defense is very iffy. And dont really have much else. But like I said. They have a decent o line
@Lil Bibby also, those 6 wins have come from our 0 lines play. 7 QB Hits since week 9, 2 sacks, and the closest team to those 7 QB Hits? Indianapolis, with 22.
Just to clarify(as I was called out on this) ol Wylie has this o line ranked somewhere in the middle of all teams. Imagine if he would let them stretch? Yep they would somehow still not win a game, they are the Browns after all.
Offensive coach is more concerned with what taste good than with what is good. Players are exposed to his lack of experience. Just because you do something for 30 years doesnt make you good at it.
Dumb logic haha. They also had tanks, fighter planes, subs, and machine guns. Give linebacker an AK and I bet he can take down the whole offense by himself lol.
He may seem goofy, but he's had results as an O-Line coach before. He was a O-Line coach for the raiders a few years back with Michael Bush and Darren McFadden and completely turned that line around from one of the worst units to one of the best all around that year. I think the guys who are willing to go the extra mile, to try and grab guys attentions during ho-hum parts of offseason, those usually make the difference in someones development.
Gungho73 Agreed. Hard Knocks is working a storyline here. They aren’t going to ‘focus’ on his true detail & the Browns wouldn’t want expose much of it either - not this early in the season.
