Why are almost all of them Eastern Asia themed, it’s like every studio wanted Sekiro 2, it’s an incredible game so no shade against it, but it feels like it won’t be as special when 10 look-alikes all release
@@0666-q2p I personally hated the combat. I hate the parry mechanic and much prefer dodge rolling. I enjoyed the stealth though. It would have been a much better game if they let you use stealth for the bosses as well.

Is Black Myth really a souls like? It’s not open world, the story is linear, there are skill trees, everyone is the same character, you have the same weapon the whole game. It seems more like GOW than a souls game.

Everybody wants souls this and souls that. I was counting on Team Ninja to do the Three Kingdoms right, but they deviated from Nioh and embraced that stupid parry system. If I want to parry, I will play For Honor. We need a solid open world Three Kingdom rpg with customization. Same as we need a solid Gundam game with open space capabilities and customization. How are these game development companies really missing the hearts of people this drastically.

the perceiver and black myth appear to be the most unique takes on the genre. you can see the inspiration but also the creativity as well!
Actually Black myth plays more like god of war / jedi fallen order than any souls game. It’s also way more forgiving than any souls game.
