It's cheaper than a modern house! And it's portable which mean you can take your house AND toys with you at any point in time! You are NOT beholden to any landlord or having to mow the grass or fix the plumbing! Just pick up and DRIVE to the nearest lake, river or oceanside beach to change your view!
When I retire I will be doing this fulltime! I will buy a full-time-living-designed, four-season winter-insulated luxury 5th wheel and Ford F450 Superduty Dually and take my house with me on my travels all around Canada and the USA! I should be able to do that for about 15 years at least (i.e. 65 to 80 years old) before driving everywhere starts becoming too taxing on my aging body. Retirement funds will pay for fuel and food fairly easily with a little bit left-over for various sights, RV campground fees and external vacation spots! If the RV and Truck are fully paid for, MANY middle-income retirees should be able to live on $24,000 USD per year (i.e. $2000 USD per month for your fuel, food and basic living expenses!) in the 5th wheel trailer driving from place to place! On a TIGHTER-level U.S. Social Security budget or Canada Pension Plan along with Personal Savings budget, you could also do this for about $1500 per month ($18,000 per year) if you get a smaller truck and a smaller trailer!
If I need extra income in retirement, I can work from ANYWHERE online via a portable Starlink Internet satellite connection and if I ever want to take a long vacation elsewhere, I can PARK the truck and 5th wheel at any Storage facility for a few weeks or months and then fly to whatever destination that tickles my fancy!

@@johnm7340 so 2,750, plus 45-ish gallons of fuel, two big boys in the cab, that’s probably 3,400ish pound of payload. Not sure what the GVWR is on GM 3/4 tons, but if it’s 10,000lbs, that’s an overweight truck at maybe 11,400?
2,750 sounds like a much more realistic pin weight than what the manufacture gives in the brochure. Another layer of guessing how much truck to buy for what you want to tow - truck manufactures who publish overhyped payload capacities (“our gas engine two door base model truck can haul 5,000lbs!) and trailer manufactures that give unrealistic underhyped loaded pin weights.

A 3500 in that configuration has only 3700lbs payload so I'm guessing that 2500 is closer to 2700lbs. Yeah the toys in the back will take some load off the front butt you can't forget about the fifth wheel hitch and all your other gear and possibly 100 gallons of water. Just do yourself a favor and get a 1 ton, they're not that much more and in States like Minnesota to Tabs are actually cheaper.

Nathan: Let's show the viewers everything it does because that is what they want to see. Andre: No, let's not unfold everything in the garage and show what it looks like. I just want to drive the side by side in and be done with this. Nathan: While you go do that I will show the viewers things inside. Andre: No, I cannot let you do that w/out me. This is my channel Nathan and therefore I have to be in every shot. So, let's show the truck Nathan. Nathan: Um, ok. We already did a review on that GMC truck and fyi, there are other trucks that can tow this thing Andre. Andre: Yah, well idc because we have this GMC and that is all that matters. 🤣 I think the garage should have an interior camera showing the vehicle driving in on the tv that is mounted in there so one could load w/out a spotter. For the price of this thing, it should have a Chauffeur included. Trailer might be 37 feet, but that obviously is not including the truck length. Better off with a motorhome toy hauler garage in it. 😉

Probably an unpopular opinion, but ATC as a brand, is overpriced for what you get. Bare aluminum, composite walls. It looks rugged, and is a quality product, but it’s very garage looking. They did inspire me though. I bought a 24 foot race car trailer and built my own ATC copy for about $15k, including the price of the trailer and ALL parts. I’m an extreme case, but I’m an engineer, with building experience. I know ATC is probably a sponsor, but they’re way overpriced. Always have been.

You guys should do your homework before you talk about an a trailer if you want to present it fairly - You said trailer retails for about $115,000 - that trailer was closer to $175,000 +/- MSRP trailer - the $115,000 price reflects $15k mfg. rebate and deep disount by dealer trying to move inventory in a crappy RV market. ATC are nice, but expensive - Order one today and it will be over $200,000 - less mfg. offsets - but north of $150k for sure.
