I own 4 BMW's. .. two X5's, 530i and a 328i convertible. . . each one has the same BMW feel on the road, even the SUV, amazingly, the X5 with my first V8 engine is one of my most favorite to drive. I have never had a V8 in a BMW and I would highly recommend it. It is actually pretty easy on gas unless you get on it, but getting on it is a blast so its hard not to really take off in that X5. When i go to look for another sedan 5 series I will be looking for a V8 under the hood as I am now completely sold on the V8 engine in a BMW! My mechanic is not too thrilled and told me not to buy it. . . his only reason is that there is so much engine under the hood it is difficult for him to work on it! It is super sweet and I am not sure of the stats on it but I am guessing it will do zero to 60 as fast as most cars do! Yes, its that fast!
and just a heads up for you 5 series buyers, buy 08 -10 they have the face lift head lamps , up-graded door panels and Idrives and stiffer suspention along with the up-dated shifter, stay away from 04-05 545i they are nothing but problems 06-07 improved all problems, 08-10 more bang for a few thousand more but problem free!!

E39 natural evolution is the F10, the E60 was the Chris Bangle side step, it doesn't have a nice design and the interior lacks a sporty layout, it looks more like a boring luxury car interior and parts like the climate control panel looks cheap and dull almost domestic.

This car has no sport package, in the M Sports package is the M leather steering wheel, Headlining anthracite and some more stuff included. It only got the M front, rear bumper and the wheels. My guess the car had an accident and the owner changed the bumper stuff. But still a nice vid.

Where like Steven said, can just push foot on the brake and press the start button. I think BMW just didn't want to have to make two different types of keys that was just straight up Turn in the ignition and the smart key so they made two different keys of the same type that look the same except the comfort access system key has a replaceable battery.
I've got a 09' 525i and it's got the sports package steering wheel, as shown in this video. The car is not with the sports package though, I've always been confused as to how the wheel got there. Were they in some regular stock models as well or did someone else install it later on?

I know this because I bought and ordered one identical to this in 2008, with these wheels and bumpers

Jonathan Washington I bought it at 22K miles and now it has 60K miles. No issues at all. Just changed the front brakes (for the first time ever), which cost $700. It's a great sports sedan. It's attractive, the seats are super comfortable, the sound system is the best I've ever heard (even better than a Mercedes S550), the trunk is spacious. The performance is as good if not better than a BMW 335i. I recommend it.

My car will start without the key fob being inserted into the ignition. All I have to do is press on the brake pedal and push the start button. The key only needs to be inside the car.

It's a sweet car, though the audio system in these when you don't get the Logic7 or whatever isn't as good, with 3X 12" and 4" speakers and small tweeters throughout the vehicle, and just two "subwoofers" under the front seats, it isn't very good (my mom has a 2006 525xi with the same exact speakers and radio as this car has). Definitely would recommend the Logic7. (:

The American Christopher Bangle designed this car. So radically different. I love the #E60M5.
