Hi there and thank you for your comment! It is a big deal for our production to make sure no wood is getting wasted at the Warwick factory. All cut-offs are used to craft smaller parts like wooden machine heads, thumb rests, pick guards, trussrod-, pickup- and compartment covers and many other things. Saw dust and not reusable parts get collected and used as heating in the winter. 🌎🌲
I which I had to monetary founds to get 1 of those bass guitar... $170,000.00 is a little high price but the bass look like a million dollars bass guitar. Happy Birthday sir i hope you can enjoy a fine piece of art...
Happy 60th HPW fitting getting the most expensive thumb in the world for your birthday! Thanks for making my favourite basses which will outlast me. such a great video...what a wonderful factory. I have a 2015 thumb from that factory and it is truly superb.
This video was super informative to watch for a guy who's dreaming of building his own bass in lieu of affording one of your masterfully built german wizard sticks. First thing I gathered, I'm gonna need a hell of a lot more clamps!
Beautiful work, cool factory, and nice result. Though it "triggers"me where you left the burl uneven (right where I like to rest my hand) it's a nice touch to leave some raw on there and the jewel motive is bit busy for my taste, it's pretty cool.
a touch of one diamond each on the knobs would have been more than enough... For me :) Top notch materials, craftsmanship. just WOW. would love to be part of the team.
Does anyone even read the description before they begin critisizing the fuck outta things? Let me explain something. This bass was build in secret as a 60th birthday gift for the owner / founder of Warwick/ Framus. It’s worth over $170,000US & is displayed on a wall in the factory. & probably in a sealed glass case. It’s not built to be played, gigged, recorded or for anyones benefit other than his & perhaps those of us who can appreciate some of the finer examples of the luthiers art. I’m sure there’s going to be lots of negative comments about how they prefer their Pbass or their Ibanez etc. which is fine if all you want to do is tell everyone about your gear. Now shut up & go play. BTW ha BTW happy birthday to Hans Peter- Wilfer.
I also think that to put that much into a guitar like this it would have to be highly personalised to him. He must love some bling with his wood lol. I love how everone in the factory was involved...Amazing they could hide the purchase of the diamonds and jewels though
no ASSHOLE the only reason to make an instrument is to make happiness through music and the ability to please the masses through your creativity that's why you make a bass what a fucken dickhead
Major fan of Warwick and have my own Wicks but really....the gem stones. I get it’s a celebration bass but that’s like putting an autozone hood scoop on a Ferrari. Pull those gemstones off and let me continue drooling over that bass.
So much effort is given to the artistic decoration and appearance that the viewer forgets about the musical purpose of the product. A product made of straight birch will have more energy in the color of the sound. However, it will be more difficult to standardize this color - there is a very obvious mode of the fundamental frequency and harmonics, but anger and aggression will be guaranteed in every sound. This wood requires a long and careful drying, but the speed of sound in it is very good for the bass.
I had just a plain thumb. Identicle but no bling not even fret markers and oil finish. I live playing the thumb and I love how it’s sounds. Anybody know what this sparkle one costs. I see those diamonds lol are led lit . Hey there are some genera that are pure bling, at least what I remember of the disco days lol. Late 70s mine cost me 1800 New was well worth it
Wow, absolutely stunning. Didn't know that watching the making of a bass was so satisfying Signed: The proud owner of a 2007 Warwick Corvette $$5 "The Lynx" Special Edition
Amazing craftsmanship...lots of wasted wood though...

@@FramusWarwickOfficial So German! Love it!
What are they supposed to do? Make a bass the size of an entire tree?
I'm a guitar player, but I need a Warwick bass in my life, right now.
Sell your house and you may be able to afford this one.
Just ordered a Thumb BO 5. I can’t wait! 🙏🏽
Honestly, these luthiers have such an awesome job.
My dream bass would be a custom Warwick. What an amazing finish on that Thumb.
Warwick is the reason, I Play E- Bass. I Love this Special Sound.
Amazing- the woods, design, and craftsmanship are out of this world.

Man, I wish manufacturers still made furniture with this much care and skill!
They do, but you'll have to pay soooo much.
Just amazing. I’d love to get my hands on the CAD 3D file for a thumb bass!

Happy birthday🎂
You can still get a plain thumb in 4 or 5 string. It’s defiantly my fav Warwick bass
but they’re soo expensive!!
4 string thumb BO has been my dream for 15 years n counting. One day, lol
@@coleburns362 definitely keep an eye out on your local 2nd hand market, I found my thumb 5 nt for $1900!
I want one!!!! Minus the fretboard bling of course.
Holy peach fuzz Batman! Some of these builders look younger than the kids in my high school wood shop.
Beautyful 😍😍😍😍
ИНСТРУМЕНТ ЭТО ЛЕКАРСТВО ДЛЯ ДУШИ И ГИТАРА КАК ДУША ДОЛЖНА БЫТЬ СОВИРШЕННА

When you play “Happy Birthday” in the beginning but make it better so no one will know
Yeeeees, i heard haha
I recognized that happy birthday song too 👍👍👍
This is not a kind of musical instrument, but a work of art.
yes I think it's like a showcase of what they can do in their custom order..I love the Thumb for its simple line that show the beauty of the wood!
My wife loves diamonds. I know what she's getting for her next birthday.
Can remember a few years back a very small company called bass surgery, all hand built and parts made by hand and stunning
Not into the fancy pancy diamonds in the body, but the bass is an incredible piece of art
wow what a beautiful bit of gear ,,,, thats awesome
Wau... Precioso Bajo y muy bonito el trabajo de elaboración. Muchas Felicidades.
Warwick - my love.
Has a very playable look. But the price is astronomical.
For being a birthday gift I would’ve pawned it that same day
Stunning!!!
My heart is pounding...

Super sweet
Congratulations on creating "Made In Germany"! Beautiful wood and super hardware - the best!
Its like the finest bass ever made was handed to a 12 year old girl and she customized it with her Beadazzle kit.
Ordinary Nocturne 😂 It looks pretty sweet, nonetheless
Lol, I don't agree w ya but ok
Opa gostei quero um

Took a bit for me to realize that 😆
Wow Amazing!!! 😉 ❤️❤️
Excellent..! But, after all of that effort, the bog-standard crosshead screws on the pickups spoils it for me..!😟
I want the hardware finish
My heart. Ughhhh. Is this love?
P,S id like my bridge to ,,hold a bit stronger than 2 screws 3 mm set in by motodrill / i prefer 5/ or 7 screw hand tightend to sweat

Awesome comment .. you win first prize ..not everyone will understand this? But the right ppl did ! Haha
Grrrrrossss
How much It cost?
ES BELLÍSIMA
What's with the diamonds? Looks like my 8 years old niece decorated it. Otherwise, great instrument.
Perfeito
How much is this? They should have made the bridge and anchor tail piece and knobs out of 916 grade gold.
Precioso
How much?
So nice, would have been even better without the bling bling...
Ohoh wrong opinion alert
@@mickvanderh.2948 those stupid gem stone things ruined an amazing piece of wood,
It went from amazing to a Girl Scouts craft show bass real quick.
What wood is that? Man warwick have such an out standing level of quality in all there basses.
Jaw dropping
Looks very flashy but impractical
This was the funkiest version of happy birthday ever played on base.
