I did feel a little awkward for some reason, maybe returning to Later alone, but it was extraordinary to be included in a company of special guests that included Eric Clapton and Dr John. It felt like arrival, but I felt very much a fraud. I was distracted somehow: when people praised the performance I was numb and unable to see it the way they did. Funny thing paranoia...

Dorothy Moore's 'Misty Blue' is one of my all time favourite songs but this performance here is terrific. I'm also surprised that the original version, by Wilma Burgess, was a country song

I loved this song when I was a kid, just on its merits as a piece of music; of course I had no appreciation of the pathos in the lyrics. Dorothy Moore is from my hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. I'm sure she loves this performance as much as I do. The pain and anguish in the lyrics really comes through. This is heart-melting!

I can remember hearing this the first time way back in the early 70's and Dorothy Moores version was just plain lovely. To hear and see your interpretation is a real joy, you somehow retain all the magic of the original and add something tool. Wow 1995, where did the time go? Am looking forward to the new cd too...

i have been watching jools hollands show for years and tried to find this so many times i thought it was unavailable. I watched it on the actual night and thought it was brilliant then but even more so now. Ocassionally this shows throws up some fantastic performances which in my opinion are just as good if not better than the original, see mick hucknal sing positively 4th street,amazing. I never tire of listening to this version its sang with so much feeling and talent.
