this shot needs a master class and I am ready pay for it
Even the "simple" stuff that nobody explaines. There are a billion tutorials on how to model, but I never found stuff for distortion matching, grey/ chromeball etc. Like how to shoot for vfx
omg broo that was truly phenomenal honestly, i was quite amazed that after months of filming and shooting the product turned out very well
Impresive, I would recommend increasing the volume of your voice-over next time, the music was too loud which made it hard to hear what you where trying to say
Thanks, and thanks for the feedback, the levels should have had some more work yes! 🙏
This is absolutely amazing!! i just love how great and realistic the scene looks. LOVE It!
Beautiful work!
Amazing to see you breaking it down, keep on rocking!
Thank you!
Man this video is underrated, incredible piece of VFX and great and solid workflow!! Congratulations!
Holy... I love to see the process - super inspiring. This video will definitely push me to try making one someday!
Fantastic end product and thank you for showing the process! Btw I think it would be good to boost the volume on your voiceover and enunciate your words a bit more, it was hard to hear you when you trailed off. And it's not an issue with your accent. Anyway, loved this and can't wait to see more from you!
@@InLightVFX Hey man thank you so much! You have a good point on the voice, just checked your channel and I have a bit to learn from you on that😂🤌. Thanks🙏
Your video is fantastic and very informative! I really enjoyed watching it. However, I found the background music a bit loud, which made it difficult to hear your instructions clearly at times. Maybe lowering the background music volume or increasing the voiceover volume would help. Keep up the great work!
Thank you sm, and thank you for the feedback. Will keep that in mind for next time! 🙏
this is wholesome. glad to see someone using maya and a proffessional workflow for a change. this is film quality vfx. earned your self a subscription. wish i could learn more from you. do you have patreon? theres very few info on youtube on how you actually use a color chart and a mirror ball in production .
For sure, not too much info out there on the "pro" workflows! Thank you so much though, i don't have anything like that right now unfortunately, focus has been on creating!🙏
It's so crazzzzzzzzz......y !!! Everthing you done is amazing! Looking forward to your next video
Bro, this is so dope, i got goosebumps, i think i will never can do scene like this
mann, this is so good and so inspiring.
Incredible, good work bro
That is truly remarkable! Could you please inform us about the schedule for the tutorial class if you are planning any? I am keenly interested in knowing when it will take place...
Thank you sm! Not currently planning on doing that, what are you interested in learning? :)
Really great work, but sadly the animation breaks the illusion a bit.
Maybe you could have object tracked the hand with a separate marker and bind it to the ok controller of your arm rig. Then, you'd only have to animate the fingers
Thanks man! for sure, but my biggest issue is how the rig is behaving, and the body + shoulders feeling kind of static when she moves. It might have to do with the actual anim as youre saying though, great input, thanks again! :D
Incredible & inspiring thank man ❤️
Really wish I #1 had friends that cared enough to assist my VFX journey and #2 the ability to make VFX this good lol
Nice job though looks like a movie to me!
phenomenal work
wow as a beginner artist myself i aspire to be at your level
i really want to learn about full VFX pipeline that included in breakdown
Hollywood! Hire this man!!!!
one of the best video i ever saw.
As a compositor myself, that nuke script gave me the visualgarsm 😊
Just amazing
I am so impressed with your innovative and hardworking mindset! Incredible how you reached this level of quality! How long did it take you to complete this scene in particular? How long have you been learning VFX? Did you go to school at all? Take any courses?
@@anointed4artistry160 Hey, thank you sm! This was in production for about 4 months on and of, most work going in to assets and r&d tbh.
Been learning VFX for about three years. But been doing simple after effects stuff before that again. Three years at the VFX program in oslo, but also mixing in online courses and UA-cam
ufff que bien hecho esta 😍😍
Amazing work !!
beautiful
Amazing project !! Only thing to say is that you should ask a sound designer to work on the sequence next time, it would elevate it to a new level !
Love the end result and it looks incredible. I aim to get as good as you one day. I was looking at the helmet movement with the head and I feel it has this really light weight movement due to it being a foam base. Do you think adding weights into the foam helmet would make the movement appear as if the helmet has more weight to it and it'd look a bit more natural. That's the only thing that was throwing me off and is just something I thought would improve it. Amazing work and video quality in general. Keep it up!
It's actually just the small front bit which is foam, but yeah it might make sense to have an even heavier helmet.. And thank you so much!🙏
"we can do basically whatever we wanted"
Hello Sir, do you have any course? And yes, please don't stop making videos. We learn a lot by watching your videos.
awesome!!!
thank you for sharing!
Nice work on this
wow your work is stunning, i wonder where are these people learning about VFX, Compositing, etc. because i want learn it so bad
@@fajarhimansyah910 thank you sm! Quite good compositing program in Oslo, I’m also mixing in some online learning as well.
@@fagerborg960 you mean like online course? Where you find those online course?
@@guillaumevfx Compositing Academy / Alex Hannemann have helped me quite a bit in the start
what do u recommend for a beginner to learn in this list and to start with
Modelling (Maya)
Composting (Nuke)
Simulation (Houdini)
depends on your goals tbh, houdini is amazing for a lot of things though, especially if you want to work in the film industry
Awesome
its very amazing
This Is Hollywood quality. Amazing 😮
That's really impressive work. As an alternate way to do this, would it have been possible to scan the talent's face and then do it all in CG rather than a VFX shot?
quite hard to make really good face scan. even the high-dpi photogrammetry won't do a trick cause of all the face texture will look kinda plastic and unnatural. it's all because of human's brain have a strong memory of what people look like in real life, so just the minimal skintone change or slightly wrong face texture could look harsh to you. actually you can try, but this all needs a lot of attention to details.
would def be possible, but yeah faces are still one of the hardest things to do in cg, and even if we have a realistic looking face, animating it is even harder. To me it would be the last thing to make cg as of now. Unreal animator is starting to look super good in some cases though.
In this short film they did something similar to what you're suggesting, scanning the face and doing it full cg:

EPIC !!!!
It's really outstanding, I want to learn from you.
You did amazing ❤. That's the next level of creativity. Please make a video, trying similar scene in (Unreal Engine 5 + blender) with less physical resources.
Man its my dream to do so!! Where did you learn this I mean obviously self teaching but still where did you study this? Thanks man. This is Insane!!
Absolutely phenomenal, those nuke scripts made my eyes fall on ground.
yayy thanks :DD
