Omg this is amazing! Please drop your leca routine king LOL
The Whale’s Fin. That is amazing. I’ve been going through *every*single* one of your UA-cam videos in order from the past to the present wow. And thank you.
That's a Florida, pretty big boy!
thats florida beauty
i love this! been waiting for this. please do more videos related to LECA & semi hydro (maintenance/transition process) :)
+1 plssss
Hey Jeffrey! I will for sure! It is taking forever so me to do these videos but I promise they're coming 😋
For sure Stephanie. I just need to find the time to do this! It's a lot of work! 😬
@@kevin. we appreciate all that you do 😍😍😍 no pressure!
@@femmebitale Thank you so much Stephanie! I've tried multiple times to film these videos and ultimately I think I'm too hard on myself and want everything to be perfect. I just need to let go and just not care as much haha 💚💚
I just found this channel. Love seeing your amazing growth results! i have ~80 plants in leca and they really do take off like crazy! Loved the video and your energy/ personality 💜
That snake plant is crazy! I never really wanted one before but, like you, I'm kind of tickled by its character. And now I kind of want one. I've been trying to get up the nerve to try ferns in leca. I know the transition will be hard but I feel like once it's there, semi hydro is going to be so good for this family of plants that can be so hard to keep properly hydrated indoors.
I think I was also most shocked by the Whale Fin! I feel like we've all become complacent w/ this idea that snake plants don't grow very fast (mostly b/c they can tolerate low light), when they thrive so much more in stronger light. I've been experiencing more rapid growth from my good ol' trifasciata after moving it to brighter spot~
RIGHT?! It's so interesting! They are such resilient plants you wouldn't know that they aren't happy in low light 😅
Your plants are well taken care. It's so beautiful. I'm transitioning my plants to leca few months ago. I am so encouraged to see the outcome of your plants..thanks for this awesome video.
Your second plant is for sure a Florida. Beautiful!! Amazing!! Impressive!! I am getting ready to transition some into LECA as well for all the same reasons. Thanks so much for the inspiration. xoxo
Oh yay! Thanks for letting me know 💚
This is it! I am waiting for you to do this.
Oh yay Jasmin I hope you liked it! 🥰
I grow my whale fins in 100% coconut husks ( an advice from the nursery where I bought it) or 100% lechuna pon and they grow extremely well. No problem with overwatering because the water drained extremely well. I watered them once a week when the substrates are dry. Just for sharing.
What products (product/ solution) do you use on your plants because boy, they all thriving under your care!
I use the 3-part Flora Series by General Hydroponics. I currently follow the directions for "Mild vegetative growth" but if they are smaller plants, I usually dilute this 1/3 strength. I also use CalMag additive just because I'm told that in hydroponics, you tend to have calcium and magnesium deficiencies. I use "Diamond nectar by General Hydroponics" to stabilize my pH but also to help in nutrient availability. AND LASTLY, I use "RapidStart by General Hydroponics" for root growth. I hope this helps! Everyone's style is different though and I just find that this works for me.
Can you do a plant tour or how you set up your plants in your house? Curious how’s your lighting system and if you use humidifier. Love your videos and started transitioning to Leca bec of you. More videos please. Thank you. 💕
Wow I been wondering about putting my Whalen in Leca.
You can cut those tails off of the zip ties for a cleaner install.
awesome collection!
i stumble into this video because im also starting a philodendron billietiae in a hydro, lucky for me somebody already have done it long before me hehe...
could you share what nutrient are you feeding?
Great video, i wish you would share your watering routine like do you let it dry before adding water again or do you always keep the pot wet with water?
The pnalts are amazing!! how often do you water them/change/add nutients to the pot?
All of my sansevieria have done really well in leca. I used to overwater them during the winter months and they all would rot, this winter they did great.
Well that's good to hear! I was always mortified of that so I would just blast them with light and hope for the best 😂😂
Uau! Que lindas😍💚🌱
🥰🥰🥰 THANKS
May I ask how do you fix big plants in leca? I find them hard to position because the leca is so light and not compacted
What did you put in your water? What are the nutrients in it... please let me know... thank you... you really havr beautiful plants
Actually, can use chunky soil and fertilizer. But result is slower growth and fungus gnats. Using mosquitoes bits, insecticide granules.
You can! All great suggestions
Do you put your plants into water to first get water roots or do you put them right into leca?
What’s your nutrient solution brand?
Hey! I use the 3-Part FloraSeries from General Hydroponics. I also use CalMag supplement, Diamond nectar, and RapidStart (All from General Hydroponics).
What nutrients do you use for leca?
I'm pretty sure yours is a pedatum 😊 pedatums have red stems/petioles as they mature😌 or at least mine had. I have that one from a trusted seller. Dunno, how it is with Floridas though 🤔
Hey Amy! Oh interesting! Yeah the Florida wasn't ever on my radar so I didn't know much about it 🤣
Can your method use on monstera Swiss cheese plant?
Yeah! I've had a lot of success with monsteras in LECA
What are you using as a trellis? I want to trellis a lot of my plants but not sure of my limits because of the plants being in a mostly moist environment.
Hey Lizy, I use bamboo trellis' and moss poles.
Cut the pot if needed
And yes it looks like Florida to me :)
Oh thanks Tommy! I'm actually hearing mixed opinions and I honestly have no idea 😅💚
@@kevin. this is @houseplants_dum_dum, sorry for confusing you with my names 😅
LOL STOP TRICKING ME
Sansevieria shocked me the most
Love sansevierias haha
LOL RIGHT IGOR?!🥰🤣
