It's pretty obvious this attack on Star Wars Theory didn't really have to do with the Acolyte but more with an opportunity of getting rid of their biggest competition on the platform.

I got bullied in middle school...overcame my fear and stood up for myself...never got bullied again. People always say oh kids are innocent nah kids will bully you for anything. Though allot of it is the way they are raised as well. I was bullied in school because my mom died when I was 4 and because I was a really big kid and am really big as an adult now I don't get bullied lol by big I mean really tall. I am 6,8 and was that tall as a freshman in highschool. It taught me to always look out for the little guy and to hate bullies with a passion.

I got off Twitter last year, and doing so was definitely an improvement to my life.
It is a rare thing to unsubscribe. Normally we just let the channel rot, without seeking it out in the list of subscriptions and pushing the button. But I made that rare exception, today. And I went through my subscriptions, went down to 'S' and unsubscribed from "... Explained".
Looks like many of us did the same 😮

One metric that is interesting is that UA-cam communities where people have been able to come and vent their frustrations about the State of Star Wars and Kathleen Kennedy/Pablo Hidalgo’s poor leadership have gotten more views this past Spring than Acolyte did for it’s entire season.
Disney should be paying heed to the feedback of the core customer base. A good business markets their product to the center mass, not the fringes.
I feel like business analysts at the company just don't understand or are seeing how thing are going, but can't do anything about It because the company top officials.
Not only that, but there has been reports the company DID receive information about the customers' true feelings... and it just ignored it.

Nothing close to yours but we were bullied for loving stuff like pirates of the caribbean, star wars and LOTR and called idiots on the daily. Some guy used to hit me with his shoulder every day in school when walking next to me until I hit back only once and he never touched me again. For some reason it all seems way more innocent then what we see happening these days when grown ups go after your entire livelihood and career which in turn means trying to destroy you life. I was right into sci-fi, anime and comic books growing up in the 90's (hated team sports, didn't participate in gym at all), got beat with skateboards on the daily by bigger kids for it until i freaked out and ambushed them with a broom handle i wrapped with hockey tape one day (i had watched the old Walking Tall movie from 1973 with my dad one weekend and it just clicked, i was like "Oh what's gonna happen? I'm already getting beaten every day. The only possible outcome is they get hurt too").
Flew out from behind a hedge as they were rolling by and beat 3 of them till they were crying and screaming with big egged out bruises all over them. The other 2 ran for their parents (i was gone before anyone showed up). It wasn't nearly as funny for them as when it was happening to me. The worst of them got weeks worth of beatings in all of about 3 minutes.
I carried that through junior high as a walking stick to school and kept it in my locker until a counselor found out and told my mom what happened.
They tried to put me on medication but it deadened my emotions and put me into a full blown suicidal depression after a few days so i went off it and never took anything like that again. Mentally i'm fine now though.

I remember. Seems like that all ended back around 2010-2011 or so, with a heavy media push towards radical political polarization, almost exclusively aimed at one group of people from another. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until going overseas a few times, where my IP would reset so my UA-cam recommendations would reset, where I saw massive amounts of left wing gaslighting. It's all entirely political, but caused by both social media, and "news" media.

I used to love Star Wars Explained but the channel became difficult to watch. The final straw for me was him apologizing to his wife for mansplaining a Star Wars topic in one of his videos. It was weird and just cringey. They’re always so positive about everything going on with Star Wars, but let’s get real… It’s not going well. Worst of all, they’re just toxic people in reality (probably thinking they’re righteous and “activists”). I wish his chanel would go back to the way it used to be. At this point, I doubt it will ever happen.

SWT and Stupendous Wave should combine their powers for good to do a weekly show of "Feel Good Stories in the Star Wars Communtiy". React to videos or stories of humans just having the greatest moment of their lives happen due to something Star Wars related. Examples: A child meeting Vader at Disneyland, or an adult being overjoyed meeting Mark Hamill for the first time. Stuff like that. And then talk about how Star Wars, and other geekdom/nerdom things changed their own lives, and then maybe put their money together and send that person a cool memorabilia item or something.
