I just bought a 570 I can't tell you how thankful I am for your videos!!! My dealer is an hour and a half a way, I left clueless got home started sewing and had instant regret. Thanks to you, you resolved all misgivings!
My mom had the Bernina store in Grand Junction in the late 70's and early 80's. Broke her heart to give it up during the great depression of Mesa county. Naturally her machine was a 930 and it is now mine (she passed in 2016)
Bernina Jeff, You're a Rock Star!! You've helped me out so much with your tips. If you ever come to Maine, let me know..... there's lobster here with your name!! Thank you.
Jeff, you are a life saver! I had mistakenly messed with the screen calibration. Your tutorial got the machine back up and running. You saved me a trip to the Bernina dealer for an issue that could be fixed at home. Thank you.
Omg. Thank you. I was soo worried . I just bought my machine around Christmas and when I called for what I thought were free lessons on how to use machine, I was being charged, esp after paying over 4200 for my machine. I am so happy that I found you.
I want to do videos on the new owner classes have a supply list or for purchase kit and a link to the workbook or a printed one for a fee. Keep watching.
3 years ago I inherited a 730 record (1970) which had not been used since 1996. I put it on the table, switched it on and it just worked. I then oiled it and turned a hairdryer on it to melt the old oil. It has not stopped working since. Periodically I strip out the bobbin area and apply a hogshair brush to remove any accumulated fluff and I oil under the lid on the main shaft. It just keeps going. Thank you for the hints on cleaning the bobbin area. I didn't know about the lining up the hook. I have always just used touch. I have found off set tweezers near where I live but yours look wonderful. I love my Berninas. They just keep on working!
Watching your video has renewed my sense of hope using my 770 QE….and enjoying it. I have several Bernina’s but this one has given me so much grief. Like all the others so appreciate your time and expertise and by far best videos I have seen for Bernina, thank you!
Thank you so much Jeff. I’ve just had the blue screen of death after a clean and realised that I didn’t put the bobbin back in properly. Your video was my saviour. Thank you again.
I got my new 770 during Covid so couldn't take advantage of any classes. I am ever so grateful to Bernina Jeff for helping me get acquainted with my machine! You have helped me with the deep learning curve SO much..........waaaay better than the manual!
Jeff,I have watched several of your videos in the past. You are my "go to guy" for Bernina trouble shooting! Thank you for another wonderful video! Great job!
You just became my hero when it comes to my Bernina 790! I literally struggled for a couple of hours this morning trying to get the hook put back into place! I’m thrilled I came across your video!! Thank you!!
omg!!!! I thought I had a crazy thread lost in my machine due to a thread catcher cleaning issue and my screen wasn't responding. All I could think of was the hefty service charge I was going to have to pay or the expensive paper weight I owned. I must have taken the screen off line and needed to recalibrate. Holding down the needle left and right while rebooting fixed my issue!!! Thanks so much Jeff. I can't believe that worked. This video taught me so much about the inner workings of my machine. I wish when I bought it I had watched this video first.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the tip on releasing the stuck bobbin case. Very very frustrating when that happens. Also, the thread catcher cleaning. Your tips are invaluable! I learn by seeing, reading and doing. Love your helpful videos!!!
Jeff, you are fantastic!!! I just fixed my needle threader. I popped it off, compared it with a picture of one on the internet to see if a part was missing or broken. I could see the the spring loaded rectangle was out of place, so I carefully moved it back into place and returned it to my machine. It works!!! So thrilled. Your workarounds are just what I needed to see. Thank you so much for your help. I will be ordering goodies from you!
Thank you Jeff for sharing your practical tips! I just purchased a 435. I started on an 830 almost 50 years ago. This long time Bernina “girl” is going to need videos to navigate this fabulous new computer machine. I’ll keep watching!
Thank you so much, I have so much trouble trying to seat my hook after cleaning and oiling. From now on I will use your method. Also the wonder clip idea solves another issue I have.
Jeff! Where have you been all my Bernina 770 life!! The first year I had this machine I thought I made a mistake. I'm in to year three now and it's getting better. Putting the bobbin case back after oiling has been the MOST frustrating experience. I'm eager to try the cradle method. And my threader episodes have also been annoying. I have GLADLY hit Subscribe so I can continue my sewing projects with confidence that miner machine issues won't make me pull the rest of my hair out!! Hugs and kisses you sweet man!!
So grateful for your insight, Jeff! I was freaking out...my dealer's waiting list for repairs is huge. Thanks for helping to get my 475 QE up and running again!
Thank you Jeff! I accidentally clicked on the placement button and didn’t know what to do with the machine - turned it off and locked the screen. I know you had a video on this problem because you helped me last time I did this! Your quick 14 tips saved me tonight at 11:15pm! I can go to sleep now knowing I didn’t ruin my machine. Thank you!
Thank you so much.... I have been stuck for two days with my machine (780 series, showed a problem with the hook system) and it turned out to be a small small piece of lint in the hook system that I only found after the "sweep" step in the video under maintenance...... I love this man !!!!!
Fantastic channel, lifesaving tips - I really managed to shake away my ‘fear of the machine’ with your videos - I don’t only enjoy sewing with the thing, but taking care of the creature itself - THANKS!!
This was the most helpful video! I was able to follow along and complete these maintenance tasks with confidence. Can’t wait to add the wonder clip to my 790. Genius idea!!
You are Awesome! With your help, I just threaded my machine using the needle threader three times ( not in a row) but nevertheless three times. Prior to your video I had been threading manually! Additionally, you helped me solve a problem with my feed dogs. Apparently, I must not have had the single-stitch plate properly snapped in place. I can't thank you enough.
Just got a B570 QEE. I bought it online, so I have no one here to help me (not for free anyway. My local shop charges $95 per day for lessons if you didn't buy the machine there. Live and learn). Your videos are awesome and have helped me get acquainted with my machine (not to mention saving me some $$). Thank you for making them and keep up the excellent work. I wish I lived closer to your shop!
Jeff, your the best! You have saved me lots of money with your videos. I got more info from you than I did my own shop. I even taught them how to put back the bobbin casing! Thanks!
Jeff, thank you so much......I had an unresponsive screen, and you fixed it. The stylus page had been up and I messed with it and didn’t realise it would turn off the touch screen......thank you so much. Amazing!
Hey Jeff! your hint about the needle threader - priceless! I did it three times in a row perfectly after watching this video. I was beginning to call it my "Sometimes automatic needle threader"!! no more!! Thank you, thank you thank you!! oh! and getting the hook back in - wow!! easy peasey - happy happy joy joy
Just hit subscribe after watching this video. Learned so much about my machine and it helped me diagnose and treat a problem with my bobbin case copper spring - which had slipped out of place. Thank you for your informative and very logical tips - all in 1 place! You are the best - AND - so respectful in your approach. No "man-splaning" on this channel. Just a quiet confidence that "you can do this."
Thank you again Jeff, my touchscreen on my 770 QE was not working. I was looking to see if my machine has Wi-Fi capability and went into the calibration screen without touching the three points. Your troubleshooting tip saved the day! Many thanks!
Thank you Jeff. I bought my B770QE E thinking I made a purchase I shouldn't have. These are s finicky to me compared to my older Bernina. I really like the way you showed how to put the bobbin in the race. Now it's not a 50/50 chance I get the race in. It goes in all the time the first time. Love the fact can oil the race from the top!! I do alot of quilting. Didn't like hearing about the knobs wearing out but I like using the touch screen anyway best.
Where have you been all my Bernina life! I love you! so many great tips, my dealer has never told me, and I have to travel 100 miles to get to my nearest dealer so this is awesome! When in Grand Junction next year, I will be by the shop!!
can you please do a video like this for the 830 I feel like my machine isn’t like any of this. It has me so lost . God bless you for teach everyone this stuff. I will be purchasing some items u have named soon .
I'm needing help my call would not go thru on the number you posted I need a squareplug foot feet for a 1030 machine and accessories box Also the machine was a gift and I plugged it in and hums like a motor is running is this correct?
Jeff, I know this is an old video, so I am not sure whether you will read it. But (!)… I MUST send you a thousand thanks for all your tips and work. I watched your video regarding oiling the different kinds of the Berninas as I had the one which was difficult to oil. You saved my life ( or at least many hours to drive to the mechanist). I am now the owner of a 740 and are watching all your videos. Of course I subscribed as you are brilliant in explaining even the smallest details of these machines. A really great job for what I cannot thank you enough. As soon as this pandemic is over and we can travel again to the states I will be happy to buy your oil and some other parts your are recommending. I hope you are doing fine. Take care and accept my deepest thanks. ( and…, please excuse any mistakes in my writing, I am not a native English speaker). Whish you many more subscribers! Your videos are worth it! Greetings from Europe.💕
Jeff, You are the shiz! TY for helping Bernina owners understand our machines better. Can you make a video of how to extract needle tips after they break off below the needle plate?
Thank you so much for this tutorial. You cleared up some of the problems that I was having with my B790 machine. I’ll be watching for more tutorials for my 7 series machine. Thanks!😊

I just bought a 570 I can't tell you how thankful I am for your videos!!! My dealer is an hour and a half a way, I left clueless got home started sewing and had instant regret. Thanks to you, you resolved all misgivings!
