Lets gets some fact right here!.....those who say this doesn't work don't have a clue! i have a clk 500 and have just done these mods and its very notable change! most being a far better throttle response, so much so my traction control keeps kicking in, which it never did (unless provoked). Not kidding..Like more then a remap on an NA car!!! the stock air box has tons of air channels that are in there to slow down the air (quiet) and also 2 flaps/air channels you missed (Stav) in the lower Maf elbow! remove the maf and lower elbow and look inside! Then remove channels and sand back smooth!! What you have remember is that MERC sells this as quiet lux cruiser aimed at old exc types. Not us v8 nuts who want every bit of performance!.OH and you will get better MPG too...but slight increase in induction noise. Thanks mate nice one! and keep up the good work!.
I have a 2004 s500 m113 v8. I'm going to do a muffler delete and a stage 1 remap. What other stuff can I do to get extra power without causing strain to the engine
Beverly Hills I’m not sure I was in a hurry after work so I didn’t let the car warm up all the way so I gassed it about half throttle . Then my breaks lock going about 40 mph (This is around 11:30) no traffic. So I just let the car coast so it was slow enough to put into park. Was the scariest experience not have control of your breaks.
Gutted my airbox and saw very similar results, it does work, removing restriction from these Mercedes V8’s is proven to work
What exactly do you mean by gutting airbox?
@@user-bj9bo4mf5w I cut and smoothed out all of the baffles inside.
@@user-bj9bo4mf5w no i didnt
@@biigamgexplain what do u mean ?

Spot on. Nice to see it's not just on mine!

I'm going to do my cl500 like this
That does work. But I would also fabricate a shield for the filter to prevent hot air from being sucked in.
You could, but it will make zero difference
do a TCU adaptive reset first then retry
AMG to Saxo in 5 minutes. Fantastic!
It’s not an AMG and now it’s 10% faster than it was. So basically, your comment is absolutely retarded. Good work
Fucking awesome. Love the vbox confirmation as well. Keep up the content
Nice idea buddy, gonna try this
Go for it! Works well in my experience as you can tell!
what about the m112 engine?
I have a CLK 55 AMG same model as yours, is it worth doing this upgrade or does the AMG version already come from the factory with this?
AMG airbox is meant to be slightly larger and better, so not sure how much of a benefit it would be
Good job!
Does it suck in much hot air? Is there enough airflow from the back of the headlight?
Almost 10% proven faster pretty much assures there’s more than enough lol
Why not cut a hole in the hood and go for ram air induction with a circular air filter like an old gm engine...
Because that looks like shit?
what happened to your brakes did they jam on??? my 430 jammed its brakes full on after the motor ran for 5 mins
Think this would work on a clk 350 (v6)
Are the 350 much difference from the clk 280? I know the 280 is 3 littre but is power much difference?
Super ghetto, but the results speak for themselves, awesome!
Holy shit, no effort on making a decent intake at all.
It was a test and increased performance way more than most people's intakes they spend loads on
@@StavTech I get that that, but did you make it look any better down the road?
Same thing happen to me my breaks went out got scared lol

ALL that you did there was useless and threw your money away
Danilo Bustamante haha what the fuck? Did you not even watch the video? I PROVED it was faster with before and after testing. Jesus...
@@StavTech Don't mind people like him, they are don't know anything about mods or even repairs.
Useless
What is? This proven by expensive and accurate timing gear upgrade? Yeah that makes sense...
