Today we take a quick look and demo the Frued Diablo Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blades. These blades offer the ability to replace your dedicated 8" or 9" corded metal cutting saw with your regular 6-1/2" or 7-3/4" cordless Circular Saw! - Наука та технологія
*Probably one of my most used **MyBest.Tools** cordless tools. Plenty of power when used with the 5.0Am Lithium Ion Batteries. Awesome cordless circular saw. Would highly recommend!*
I am glad I can use this on small projects. I do have some plate that I will test it out on to see how it goes.
I used these blades to cut threw aluminum plates for a job, 3/8 thick 10" wide cut. And I stacked them 5 plates high, cutting threw 5 at once. We cut well over 150 plates. Like a hot knife threw butter it didn't even phase the blade. These blades will easily cut 1/4" and thicker aluminum no problem but it is Caca for the thin stuff. 1/8" material I use a cordless Dewalt saw with a 6" Dewalt brand aluminum cutting blade.
Make sure you always wear eye protection and ear plugs when cutting any metals.
DAAAAMN! My man is JACKED!💪
Wow, I'm impressed
Ive been cutting metal with a metal cutting blade in my old skill circular saw for years i call it my mini k-12 i will have to check out those blades at work since i work at home depot. I have my set up in my table saw too your blades dont need to be changed i might have to get 2 to try out im used to the k 12 and circular saw metal cut off blades since my Firefighting days
Diablo 5/8 inch arbor circular saw blades are compatible to which make of 7-1/4 saw machine?
I got one today, and its the most amazing damn blade I ever had! Cuts are butter smooth, thanks!
I dont cut metal often and I have some sawzall blades but found a 7 1/4 cut off diablo disc for $4.. Curious how well it cuts. Decided to get it just to have along with an old mason blade my grandpa had laying around in the garage.
Never know when they could come in handy and $30 would be too much for thse when i may only cut metap 1x a year if that
And yes you can use metal cutting blades in a regular saw but I don't recommend it without a face shield and long sleeves because they don't have the built in shaving Catcher and them little shavings burn
Hey so I've used the 7-1/4 steel demon on my circular saw to cut metal roofing and angle iron but I have a job coming up where I need to cut several 18g steel studs and track. Thinking of using my DeWalt 7-1/4 miter saw and the cermet 2 48t blade. Yay or nay? I could just tape off the intake so no shavings get pulled into the saw motor...
The blade and saw could handle it, you are right in thinking the big concern is really the mess and metal shavings. If it's minimal amount of cuts and do you best to keep shavings contained should be fine. Just clean it up really good before doing any fine woodworking projects afterwards.
@@OhioPowerTool thanks for the advice. As far as the dust goes I'll be sure to clean the saw off well. For me this is my framing saw I don't use it much for finishing as the cutting capacity is rather abysmal. I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
could one of these blades also be used in a miter saw?
Yes I am using one now in mine.
do you make chop saw blades? can you use wd40 to cool the blade? no burr left on the thread or bar end. i like!
Wax stick or regular water would probably be a better option than wd. But any lubricant is better than none
How does this blade compare to a tenryu?
It's common to compare Tenryu Steel-Pro Stabilizer line up to the Diablo Steel Demon, the Tenryu makes a nice blade. The Cerment II Carbide on Diablo performs extremely well and the price on Steel Demon is considerably less than the Tenryu when looking at same size and tooth counts. Wish we had some hard data to compare for you.
Do you make a metal cutting blade for a standard 12 inch miter saw?
The Diablo Steel Demon 10", 12" & 14" have 1" arbors. The Diablo wood and aluminum blades 10" & 12" have a 5/8" build for standard miter saws. Freud does also make a 1" to 5/8" bushing BL71MCE9 but max RPM on the 12" Steel Demon blade is 1,800 RPM so not ideal for most miter saws.
There's a metal cutting blade for chop saws by a brand called evaluation
Matthew Kubik, they do make 12 inch blades for chop and table saws. I've used them in both and they work awesome!! Steel, sheetmetal, aluminum, all of it!
Bob Elkhart Indiana where can I buy the Diablo saw blade here nobody's got it need help
We can ship it to you of course, IN is 1 day with standard ground. If you need help by phone call during business hours we've got a full team here to help.
I learned on Homestead Rescue take wood blade and turn it around. It will cut metal.
Works good for aluminum, didnt know it worked for steel. Thanks for the tip
Just turn the blade around backwards. Works great on tin
Let's see something that cuts 6" stainless before grove
so why didn't they cut with the Milwaukee saw? and they also don't tell you how if you start run off even a little bit on ur line your pretty much screwed
This isn't a training video, so there's no need to mention proper cutting tips
Duh anything you cut going off line your screwed.
My hypoid Makita I got so many blades. Blow your fn mind
Hi..Can i use any standard circular saw to cut metal using diablo steel demon?
Well that's what this video basically showed....
I wanna see a real test. Try going through at least 3ft of 1/2" steel plate.
Allen McKinney that would be a hell of a test.
@@TickleMonstars a dedicated metal cutting saw could do it. Cutting metal tubing and grade 2 threaded rod isn't much of a test. Harbor freight has a $20 blade that can do that but if a name brand like Diablo really is so good they should be able to cut 1/2" plate.
For true dedicated metal cutting we'd still recommend a Metal Cutting Saw. These blades provide some additional options and maintain pretty impressive performance considering.
Maybe 2 feet than overheats
They never claimed that their blades would change the duty cycle rating of the saw driving it.
You guys may want to work on the audio!
Agreed. We got a couple microphones to help with that moving forward. Thank you for the feedback!
hit and miss for me cut 1-1/4 angle after 7-8 cuts she got hot and dull.
diablo is the best though as the Lenox brand got dull after 3 cuts and was 50$ ouch.
Same, I'm thinking maybe they're supposed to be used at full depth but no one ever mentions that
if the company make a sword like katana, may be will a sharpen sword in the word, that is a good metal that I know....amazing..
I just slap an old, dull wood cutting carbide blade on backwards on my circ saw to cut metal roofing and metal pipes. Works fine, as long as the OSHA man is no not around. Doesn't work to well on rebar or thicker metal though.
grab some box filter lights . dope blades
No drop saw! Anything using a lot of watts and amps could end up catastrophic which is why a metal guid arm like on a drop saw is important.
It's the Alex Jones of saws.
Dude i know said that a few days ago its like his douchy looking little brother lmao
6.23.19
Hey John from Diablo, a little more passion and enthusiasm wouldn’t hurt bro,.. otherwise “strong” demo👍🏻
It’s a good option for occasional use..but wood circular saw turn at a higher rpm then a true metal cutting saw. The result will be a burned out saw if used too much. The sustained torque on the motor will cause over heating and gear failure. But occasional use is fine
Company pays to replace my tools so let er rip tater chip 🤣
I cut rebar pipe and aluminum with the standard wood and nails blade. Pull the trigger and cut. It's just a dumb tool. Use it
Not many people know that the diablo blades are rated for 1800max rpm and the circular saw are running much much faster than that. The Diablo blades won’t last long. They will work ,but not very long.. just keep that in mind..
Stop talking out of your ass. Just stop
Dude they literally say it's rated for high speed circular saws.
These blades might be good for a couple of metal studs here and there. BUT, anything more than that, and you'd better be wearing a suit of armor and have the fire department on site. It's a flame thrower, backwards and forwards. It's much safer to use a low rpm cold saw.
Wtf being I’m a real metal worker and not a home owner; I demand a remake of this video with you guys cutting 1/2 a36 steel plate or even 1/4 plate a couple feet at once. Otherwise it’s practically useless because I don’t use stuff that light
For dedicated metal cutting we'd still recommend a dedicated corded 8" metal saw (both Milwaukee or Skilsaw are good options) and the Freud 8" Cerment 2 Carbide. Those saws are designed to handle metal shavings, have lower RPMs and will be the better option for all day use if you've got a lot of 1/2" a36 plate steel that needs cut. Currently the only dedicated metal cordless circular saws are 5-3/8" (or 5-7/8") so if you want to go cordless but need more capacity these 7-1/4" are a good option with 2.5"+ depth. Hopefully we'll see an 8" cordless metal cutting saw soon but so far nothing even announced from Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita, Hilti, Metabo or anyone else.
Alex Jones is that u?
Duh
Weak program
Lame!!!!!!!
