You were so cool walking through the Depot, that the other patrons seemed to be frozen in place. Nass...
Hahahaha, this comment is getting pinned 😆
I gotta get me my D-A-blow blade. Score.
@@ToolReviewZone thanks

It's funny how many guys use the city trash lid as a work surface. Mine has spray paint on the lid has well. The best work table is a free one.
Hahahaha, so true
@@ToolReviewZone Same for me! Hey, I don’t own them so if they get nicked….oh well!
Lol I was thinking the same thing, perfect height too
Nothing better than a trash dumpster recycle bin work table. Mine have saw cuts, drill holes, overspray all over them
@@thedude8976 been using two in the uk for years with a board with blocks on the back that drop in the bins to stop it moving ideal to save you're back
I've been using these blades in the 4" version for many years. Just saw this 3" in Home Depot yesterday. Awsome!
By watching your videos, I learned how to walk real cool like through the store so that the ladies say, “Oh, he’s real nass like!” Thanks!
Hahahaha, be prepared to get swamped by the ladies Jim 🤣🤣👊
👍👀👌
@@stevegarcia1796 Steve, I bet you’ve put some swagger in your step as well. 🕺
I’m glad to see another guy use the wheely bin for a work bench.
Hahaha, damn right Ken 🤣🤣👊
Due to the clutter on the work bench so the trash bin becomes handy. Uh, I’m guilty of that too
Adding the ability to use the side to clean cuts up seems like a cool feature.
Literally Every brand of diamond edge masonry blade has that “cool feature”. That being said, nothing compares to Diablos quality and longevity.
First of all, love the satire and editing. Takes a lot more work than people realize. Second, didn't even know a tool like this existed. I need to do some intricate cuts in my tile floor and could use one. I have all DeWalt tools, hope I can get the cutoff tool soon too. Thanks for mentioning it, looks like it was just announced.
Truly appreciate the comment BROis 👊
I’m with you on this one Clint, that’s also one of favourite tools in the stash. Don’t use it every day but when I do it’s a life saver. It’s just occurred to me though if you guys struggle to get new blades there is not hope I will over here.
I've been using the reciprocating saw blade where I have to cut 1/2 inch steel rod and am still using it. Cuts like butter !
Great New Information. The 3 inch angle grinders seem a little pricey now. The 3 inch would have an advantage with the smaller pieces, and curved cuts, but I think my 4.5 inch could do what I need it to. I see that Diablo makes a continuous rim 10 inch blade that will also dry cut and would automatically give me straight cuts on my miter, but my 4.5 inch could probably do the whole thing just fine. Just score them, and follow the line.
I bought the Diablo 4 inch blade for my Angle Grinder, made a huge difference to doing tiling, I can do nice straight as well as smooth edges, it's amazing how a single tool can make such a difference. I didn't even know there was a 3 inch version as I only see 4 inch blades or larger at my Hardware store except of course for the Dremel blades, but they are tiny :)
Diablo have been my favorite blades since the "piranha" blades where discontinued or bought out my someone . The brand never disappoints me .
While it may not require to be cut with water I would suggest you do use water for the cuts. Water creates two hydroxyl groups attached to silicon. As a result, the length of the crack grows by the size of the bond rupture. The water reaction reduces the energy necessary to break the silicon-oxygen bonds, thus the crack grows faster and breaks cleaner. However the experienced tradesmen can get a quite nice break (cut) without water.
Please provide a cite for this. I wasn't aware a tile saw was primarily chemistry in action vs simple mechanical abrasion.
Umm, are these saws rated for use with water? I doubt it. I have tile saws specifically meant for wet or dry use. The bearings and other parts are sealed for the purpose. The last thing you want is an abrasive slurry being pulled into the cooling vents or on the bearings.
I've heard cutting through a brick a few times I believe you need to use some water too. the brick dust and water. it makes a slurry that will help to sharpen the blade. By removing some of the metal and exposing more diamonds.
YES!
I always go for diablo blades in everything.
They cost a little more upfront but save a lot of money in the long run.
Nice little saw.
I like that you spotted it across the bulb isle then picked it up in front of the paint dept. I have to commend you on how straight that cut was. Kudos
I’ve been buying Diablo hole saws, to replace the old ones I’ve had for 20 plus years. They are pretty good, except for the quick change chuck, which is a cheap POS. I’ve gone thru like 6 chucks in two years because they fall apart or the center point bit won’t stay locked in.
I’ve also killed 6 Milwaukee hackzalls in two years, but Mill has given me back a brand new one every time. So thanks for that Mill !! Would still like to slap the engineer who designed the hackzall planetary gear shaft for it.
I don’t know how long this Milwaukee 3” grinder has been available but I’ve waited forever for it. I wonder if Makita has a mini grinder? My Makita grinders are my favorite tools in the world….I use a lot on concrete, I make a lot of stuff out of Arizona flagstone, etc and to have a smaller tool with a smaller blade and Diablo blades are awesome, you made my day Mr. Pittsburgh. My birthday is next week and my wife has just received this video to encourage her to buy me all this stuff.
I bought the Milwaukee cut off tool and a masonry blade to do some brick repointing grinding work and the cut off tool failed miserably. Not enough power to handle soft mortar. The tool heated up to fast and kept on cutting out and overheating, plus the tool goes through batteries quickly.
Had to use the good old trusty angle grinder to do the job. However I am going to keep the cut off tool to cut smoke pipe and sheet metal, because it shines doing that job.
👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
One thing I love about that M12 cut off is that it actually comes with a shroud and a vacuum Port. I wish the Ryobi one had that attachment I wouldn't even care if it at the vacuum Port just having that shroud guide like a mini saw should come with every single one of those three-inch cut off tools
Great find. For cutting steel I found that Kango makes a 3" diamond rim metal cutting blade. Last ages and doesn't have the shrinking problem. A lot of the time I'm cutting out 16mm furring channel so with the stock abrasive discs you can only cut a few before the disc has worn away too much.
Freaking nice! Diablo makes the best bits, blades and cutters in the industry.
Dollar for dollar you'll get your money's worth buying Diablo products.
By avoiding any guess work, you'll save on frustration too.
Bosch
@@gusc6785 No, I got wacks of Bosch bits and blades. They work quite well for what I do. Not knocking Bosch. Just saying the technology behind Diablo products is "cutting edge".
The tool can switch directions, but those diamond blades are all directional. If you look at them they have arrows printed on them showing which way they're supposed to go. Could be your other blade failed from being run the wrong way and knocking off all the diamonds...
i was in a jam today so i picked up the 3in m12 milwaukee mini cut off tool, i didnt even bother with the blades that it came with, i picked up this Diablo blade for tile it did job just great!! better than i expected! ty for the suggestion!!
Genuinely my favourite Milwaukee tool and it just keeps on giving! Only ever used for cutting old stainless pipe or Boiler Flues but after this, some tiles are gonna get it. I’ll keep an eye out for ‘Diablo’ in the UK but I’m pretty sure its just Freud. Reeeeel nice vid pal
I believe they have the 3" as well. Would be just as good 👍
Unless Freud has a plant in Indonesia….. 😂. The Bosch-Diablo stuff is all over the map, especially now with the rebranding expansion. They’ve brought in Scintilla, SIA some US partners and, of,course, a lot of Chinese stuff (owned by Bosch or a manufacturing partner? I don’t know). The biggest selling Diablo saw blades actually say Made in USA on them now. Freud USA in house? Licensed partner? I don’t know. The 3” stuff I’ve seen is from all over the world: Indonesia, China and a “cuts everything” blade from Switzerland. Region locking and marketing are weird. I’ve got six or eight bosch blue italian (freud) saw blades from the UK market and some of them have the same exact designs as the Diablo, but the blue blades are closer to the branded Freud “industrial” (not putting them down, but they ain’t industrial blades) in carbide and plate thickness.
BTW, it's pronounced Dee-Ah-Blow , Spanish for Devil. Diablo is pretty much all I use anymore for general cutting. There construction blades are top notch. Obviously not meant for fine finish work but sure do rip though anything for general use.
His pronunciation throughout the video was driving me nuts!
It's humor, my man! 😄
Did you ever think that maybe he is mispronouncing it for comedic effect? Don’t be a jagoff.
🤣👊👊👊
Bosch owned
That sounded so cool I went out and spent my money and bought some of those blades, and I don't even have a 3" cutoff saw...
OMGoodness, no 3" inch cutoff wheel? That it too funny. I guess you'll have to invest in one! Have a great day!
FINALLY!!!!! A yt video of somebody actually using that milwaukee cut off how it's intended lol...a lil at a time, not going all balls out from start. And then complaining that the tool it self has no balls cause it went into protection mode lol.. Hats off to u brother for keeping the balls where they need to be. 👏👏👏🤳
Hahaha, next video I should try to cut down a maple 🌳 🤣 thanks for the comment Brennen!!!
The milkwaukee cutoff is kinda the worst of the ones out there, in power and value. Seriously the ryobi version is even 50 bucks cheaper and still cuts harder than the red boy. Harbor frieghts model is only a little worse and but like... it's only $50 so, for the money... yikes.
I love this cutoff tool too! I actually just used it with the plastic cutting wheel that it comes with to install 600 ft of lvp. Worked awesome! The only thing I don’t like about this tool is I have a hell of a time getting the batteries off of it.
May I ask why you didn't just score and snap?
Yeah bro, mine gets snagged too sometimes 👊
@@kevinm.6855 For my end cuts I use my Crain wood cutter. If you don’t know what it is it’s basically a blade that presses down on the material with such force it snaps it. It’s an amazing tool if you do a lot of floors which I do for a living. But for length rips you can’t always score and snap those. It worked for those really small rips that you can’t quite score and snap and it also works really good for cutting around walls and other things. Using a jigsaw also works for those things but LVP really destroys those jigsaw blades. So really the only reasons I used it was to see how well it would work for this application and because I was installing on a second story today and didn’t feel like lugging up my tablesaw to the second floor lol.
All the m12 tools are hard to get the batteries out when they are new. I have taken a pair of pliers to mine a few times.
@@imnotanalien2948 Yeah like the bit case's you need pliers to get the bits out. Great case's but a little extreme on the holding power
First of all, I love your channel. Your presentations, and reviews of the products are yes.....like no other that I have ever seen. I am the DIY/Ryobi Queen, and have taken on new challenges, and projects, and am still learning. I own at least 30 Ryobi tools, and am looking for my next Ryobi dream tool.
I have had the Ryobi Cutoff tool for quite some time. A few months ago, I purchased the diablo multipurpose cutoff wheels. I am remodeling our kitchen, and will be cutting porcelain tile. Upon watching your review on the Diablo 3 inch Diamond continuous rim cutoff disc, I called searching my local Home Depot stores for this product. There are 5 Home Depot in my area, only two of the locations carried the item. The location that I went had five....I bought three. I can't wait to try it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! Debbie
It was like a muppet walking through Home Depot. I laughed.
I’ve had success making circles in porcelain tile with 4,1/2” blades with a regular size angle grinder. This 3 incher looks like it’s a serious upgrade to my technique.
I'm a subscriber because I'm entertained each and every time I see a new video! Diablo 3" cutoff wheels are great!!! Also, as an electrician, when the tile installer screws me and doesn't cutout my receptacle/ switch box to size for a decora style switch/ GFCI receptacle devices, the 3" Milwaukee cutoff tool saves the day. Do it right the first time and get paid immediately! switch boxes along a countertop or bathroom,
Yep, mine is used for when the tiler fucks me or the plasterers put their furring channel where my lights are meant to go. Wouldn't need it if people could do their job 😂
Thanks brother 👊👊
Saw that blade the other day at the Depot. They had that one and a wood blade also.
I may need to try the wood one 👊
Great use of the kids play-kitchen as a bench when cutting those kitchen backsplashes lol.
*very nass*
Hahahahahahahaha 🤣👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
I am really glad you showed this. This will be perfect for me for tile cuts around radiuses and such. I looked on the diablo site and can not find them yet but hope they will be available soon. I have a larger cut off from diablo I just did a video on to cut pavers and love it!
Check the link in the description 👊
@@ToolReviewZone I did hit the link but no sellers online and nothing available local to me either. My area always takes longer for some reason to get the newer items. Pittsburgh area just like where you said you were from originally. I like that Milwaukee cut off too! I just started using some of their products also and really like them.
I just heard that these are not really rolled out yet. I'll post as soon as I find them on line
@@ToolReviewZone Thanks for the fast response! . Will certainly come in handy.
Most diamond edged blades are really recent along as u keep em cool simple cutting like this is perfect so it should last a long time an it's very versatile cut just bout anything
I bought 3 DIABLO DEMO blades to cut up the the roof of a 30x40 building which had multiple layers of roofing on it into pieces I could handle easily. It only took one to get the job done. I also used it to cross cut most of the lumber to fit in my wood stove.
BUT after I used it to open the ridge on my house wider for the vent, two cuts 59' two layers of architectural shingles, well I'm afraid that done it in.I'm on blade two now. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DIABLO BLADES!!!
I was very impressed with how it held up to what I put it through.
I love their metal grinding cut off wheels they will cut through anything and last forever so maybe I need to do some tile work now ;) lol
That’s real nice like Clint. Thanks brother for letting us know, I just got the cut off saw.
How do you likenit Rob?
@@ToolReviewZone love it
Put that dust shroud and a vac on the saw for a 90% dust-free cut indoors. Also, I feel the cut off tool is underpowered with the 2ah batteries but packs a better punch with the 6ah
I got one since they came out and I have done so far 3 bathrooms 6 backsplash kitchen and still keep going 👌🏻
They are awesome. Thanks for the feedback jimmy!
F I literally bought like four blades from another brand like a week ago I wish I would have waited 😑 thanks for the video man 👍
I don't think I will buy any others. These are really impressive
@@ToolReviewZone I'll go ahead and buy one thanks for the advice 😁
I tiled a bath and laundry using a a 4" diamond blade mounted on an angle grinder. It is sort of eire that you can scribe and cut a straight line without a guide. Cutting a hole for the closet flange was stupid easy! I had borrowed a tub saw; for the job; cut one or two tiles with it and handed it back.
no tile work needed here but they make some wicked reciprocating saw blades for metal. think i have a diablo blade on my skill saw as well and it's pretty decent for screwing around in the back yard.
It will be a nice addition to my little ridgid, I don't know if the fact it's on the 18v mean a bit more power than the milwaukee for sure its less compact
Sweet. Exactly what I need. I have a small bit of tile i need to cut.
back when Makita had the 9 volt they had a 3" cut off saw that was great for tile they had a corded model as well as the cordless one and they had a water bottle attachment for it was the cats ass for tiles the continues rim ones are worth the money
Great tip, thanks! Home Depot online only seems to have the 4” and larger sizes, so I’ll go by the store but it looks like I’ll have to buy somewhere else. Right now I only have an air cut-off tool, but have your Milwaukee M12 on my wish list.
They still aren't on line for some reason? My store had a hole bunch on the shelves though 🤔
@@ToolReviewZone Good deal, and MSC and some other places also show them available.
yesterday I bough one, you are totally right, thank you Sir
Man, I really need buy one for my Ryobi cut off tool! Great review, brother!👊🏾
Will be awesome 👌
I got one of those blades a week ago. It tore through some 3/8 porcelain tile, much better than the stock blade (sorry Milwaukee).
Diablo also makes a general purpose blade for the Milwaukee cut off tool that says you can cut wood with it. I haven't tried it but I guess that could be useful maybe.
Yeah Alien, they are not as good as I was hoping
Yeah its not like there isn't already 1 million ways to cut wood already lol
I just saw these online have wanted them to make Dimond blades for years,!!
Nice. Your video makes me want to randomly pick some part of the house to tile, just to use this blade.
Hahaha, I think I'm going to do my fireplace just because of the same reason 🤣
Damn.. No garbage can lids were harmed in making this video.
I been using angle grinders for years and years...nothin new. But I will say that forward and reverse option on your trigger is pretty cool. 👍
You got me sold, I am going to try and grab one today.
I prefer Diablo blades for many things as well. Compared to comparable blades, they tend to be less expensive too. For example, my 14” Diablo steel/stainless blade cost $85. Steel blades by other top makers cost $125 - but they’re not rated for stainless, and these cost up to $150! For my Dewalt 3” cutoff, they supply three blades, a grit cutoff, a diamond multipurpose, which I use for metal, and a blade like this one. Other than the color, it looks the same. The multi purpose works very well. I’ve used it for cutting 0.050 stainless sheets. Like butter. I’ve also used the tile/ceramic/brick blade and it’s also very good. I don’t understand why Milwaukee supplies a junk blade. That doesn’t seem like them.
I wish I had one of these when I tiled my bathroom floor and tub surround.
Dangit!!! Another M12 tool and blade I NEED to get!!! I usually just throw my Makita corded 4" angle grinder in, but well, battery? Uh YASSSS!!!
This video was suggested in my feed. From on Pittsburgh guy to another - you just got a new subscriber haha. Gotta support folks from da' Burgh.
Haha welcome to the channel Tony, and GO STILLERS!!!!
LOVE this -- will totally work on my RIDGID version of your Milwaukee saw
Sure will!
Cool rotozip carries something like that for their 90° cut off wheel attachment that used to come in the older kits mine lasted probably 12 years. IDK if they still sell them maybe you can do a comparison
I'll probably get the Milwaukee 3 in cut off tool after I get my M18 fuel oscillating tool. I'm getting tired of the M12 version battery keeps loosening when I cut.
Diablo is Freud owned without paying the Freud price. Never had an issue with any Diablo blade I use......and I have many.
I agree with you, the 3" cutoff is easily one of my favorites. I'll need to get this new blade next time. Thanks man!👊
Will love it brother 👊
Anytime I do tile jobs we just use a regular 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. Is there any big advantage the 3 inch offers besides being more compact?
I was sold on Diablo blades the first time I put one in my 50 year old model 77.
Diablo makes a diamond blade for 4.5" angle grinders too. It's not a tile blade. The entire rim of the blade is coated with diamond grit. They say it's for metal cutting (which it does) but I use it for fiberglass mostly. I've used it on concrete and I'm sure it would work on tile as well.
It does work on tile as well. I use mine for metal, cement, and tile.
I want to know how it does on a 1/4 inch marble tile. Right now I’m doing 45s edges and it doesn’t fit on the regular wetsaw (dewalt) . And the Milwaukee grinder might be a bit uncomfortable after a period of time. This would come in handy.
Nice! Should fit to my Bosch GWS 12V-76 too. Another point to justify the investment (the GWS) before my wife.
Just can't find a source to order it in Germany and don't have tiles to cut.
Aghhh I just did a shower tile wall and it took forever because I used a shifty diamond blade on a angle grinder... a really pain
Clint, thanks for dressing up for your videos. Clean tank tops are a plus.
🤣👊
Well... I can't start to tell you how much I hate tool reviews. Some of them think we have as much money as they do or sponsored like they are or daddy helps ya.
But I was just thinking of a new blade a couple days ago and this popped up.
Glad I did cause first you made me smile... then giggle... then the big laugh. Thank you. Made my day and I learned something to. By the way... you cut straighter than most carpenters I have seen with a straight edge!
New sub and looking forward to see more vids. Thanks!!
Haha, awesome. Welcome to the channel and truly appreciate the comment W M!
You free-handed that radius "real niiice like."
Now that’s a great tool! Excellent video as always! Btw, kitchen looks fantastic, what’s the name/style of your countertop?
Thanks Windmill!!!!!
This is just what I been looking for! Metal blades I can find in abundance, but always had a problem getting the tile blades. Do you know of any good places to get plastic/vinyl/vct cutting blades for these saws?
I'm thinking that maybe you would use the all purpose metal/blades.
2:12 You know you're making a scene when the lady in the Makita bulb isle looks over at you going "WHAAAAAAAA!?!?!?!?
Hahahahahaha
Thanks brother. BIG help!
Also, I noticed you were luckier than a skunk when you slapped that bat-ter-ry into the Milly and had the triggers depressed and almost took a finger!
Awesomeness!!!!
I was lookin at this other day was on the fence so I left it…will grab next time I at the depot
I looked, nothing available Home Depot or online. Except 1 on eBay. Sorry that one is gone :-) Thanks for the tip. Looking forward to its arrival.
DANG,I am impressed...you convinced me. Yes Sir I am buyin one of those 12 inch floor tiles
Do the tiles get any fine chipping on the edges, or very clean cuts?
Great presentation, great sense of humor, don't change a thing.
Just bought the Milwaukee m12 cut off tool kit for 74$. But trying to find this blade is almost impossible. Unless I want to pay for shipping and shipping is more then the blade. Hopefully someday I can find it around me. Thanks for the tip
I'm not suprised the original blade wasnt lasting long on tile it looks like a standard grinder blade for metal, even on metal they wear down quick. In a 3 inch size thats not going to last long on anything hard.
Nice from 3" to 14" so Ryobi brushless saws which is what I use or
RYOBI1 10 in. Sliding Compound Miter Saw with LED
Cut or score 20" or 30" tile like a pro.
I love this guy! And.....He has the most fantastic videos. Very informative.
Thank you so much Carl!!!!!!!
Got to say I’ve used my trash cans as work benches to. they are actually a good height.
Haha, damn right brother 🤣👊
Have you tried using it to sharpen the carbide teeth on a saw blade? Just curious if it would work.
I like that you use your trash can lid as your outdoor table…..
Thought I was the the only one with a hillbilly table?
LOL 😂
Thanks for the blade review I got go get me that blade!
Hahaha, thanks for the comment Rick!!!
Next time I at Home Depot I will pick up the 3 inch Diablo blade. Matter of fact I Might as well pick up that Milwaukee cut off tool as well. 👍
Definitely will be looking for those blades around here. Ty. Btw loved the Grover like cruising the store. Lol
Hahahahaha
It's kind of like you were using a real crappy blade on me man you crack me up, Don't stop you being you 👍👀👌
I don’t come to this site for information or new gadgets. I come here for the comedy. It’s especially good when he starts weeping uncontrollable. He’s one of the best dramatic actors anywhere.
Ok, maybe I do visit his site for info 😂.
The same goes for the diabolo carbide reciprocating saw Blades. I don't even want to touch my Sawzall unless I have one
the important thing is that the Milwaukee and diablo blade is speak for itself. Thanks for showing .
Little late to this but great video my question is how long does the batteries last using it for tile?
My work bench is literally a garbage pail. And it works great
🤣👊
Neat tool and blade, but just wondering what is the advantage over an angle grinder?
