    This looks incredible for fine detail. I do a lot of mystery/suspense/horror modeling, and having the ability to speed dust one of my haunted structures is exactly what I need. Will purchase asap and thanks for the tutorial!

      Thank you so much for the kind words! That sounds like an amazing usecase for dust 😁 any place we can see your work? I'm very much intrigued by horror related things 😜

      @@NinoDefoq I am coming from a photography background and over those 38 years, focused a lot on old structures, and creepy textures. What I have done so far is in DAZ, and I'm 6 months into blender, so what I have now is more collections of "To DO" images. Regardless, I'm paid in 3 days, dying to buy this, dying to try it out, hope I don't die before I do. Thanks for responding, it's so rare nowadays. Love the product in advance.

    Looks really awesome, I think maybe making the dust pieces a little more translucent would add to the realism. Great work Nino.

    For some reason the dustify in the nodes creates almost transparent properties with anything with an emitter.
    I'm seeing a light through an object I shouldn't be seeing.
    Turn the node group off and it disappears

    Hello, I am looking for something similar but not to dirty it but to add wear effects to materials like scratches on the texture covering the blade of a sword.
    So I came across this while searching.
    Is there an addon to do this kind of thing? For now I'm just retouching the color with Photoshop but it's rather long.

    My mother has this globe at her house (but probably less dusty.) Do you think that this might be easy enough to tweak to use Renderman Nodes for the materials?

    • @Dan1066

    Man it's fantastic! Superb job, and thanks for all your tutorial and add-ons/geonodes
    Do you think to "build" a superb pack with grunge/dust(dustify)/wear/etc? It would be amazing to participate and donate for this project on gumroad!
    By the way, bravo again and thanks for sharing:)))

    I bought it and it has really made adding dust easy! The appending was confusing at first but managed it.
    Only issue I'm having is with the shader node and adding the heavier dust. Do you have to have UVs? Or is there a way to avoid this? Can't find a way to map it correctly

    • @iKaGe01

    is there a way to distribute the dust geometry only at certain places?

    • @NinoDefoq
      @NinoDefoq  9 місяців тому +1

      Yessir. You can add a math node before the selection input of the distribution nodes. Set it to multiply and in the second input add a "named attribute". Set that to your weight paint group name where you want to distribute the dust. Let me know if it helps!

    is it possible to spawn meshes by ambient occlusion map?

  • @vacpw03
    @vacpw03 11 місяців тому

    Dustify Demo as well as Dustify Premium does not work in Blender 3.4.1 If I drag the demo node onto the object, nothing happens at all, if I drag it directly into Gemotry Editor Blender crashes. Likewise, when I want to open the premium node in blender, blender crashes. the same when I drag the node into the geometry editor. Blender crashes!!! WHAT NOW ?

      I recommend updating 😅 Blender is in 3.6 and closing in on 4.0. It's made for 3.6 and 4.0 and works fine there.
