    If you go onto Sin's dustloop page and look for his "Still Growing" command (aka eat) you will see a little button on the bottom that says "stats for nerds". Within the stats for nerds page you will find a link that says "see notes". Within these notes the Dustloop wiki editors go into further detail about what buffs his random foods give. But what's most interesting is what is stated at the end of the Still Growing notes. Resting deep in the hidden recess of the wiki lies a true power statement summing the move up. "Like Meat and Lobster, these aren't permanent buffs and their duration is chosen with an additional roll, with those values being 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 seconds. Why is this so complicated? Why is there no visual indicator? Daisuke's vision."

      @@christhechilled Yeah, they were making a joke about how the only answer for why Sin's eat command is so complex and unclear is to simply state it is the lead guy's vision for it to be that way.

    Personally, I think that they should make still growing restore the calorie meter like it did in Xrd. This way he can more consistently use his follow ups, but while being forced to leave gaps where he's vulnerable.

    Nice video. Another weakness I think is worth mentioning is sin's absolutely god-awful back dash. It's super long (27-28 frames, I think?) and extremely punishable, which makes certain matchups incredibly tough to manage. Combined with basically all of his special moves leaving him minus on block, this additional lack of safe ground mobility puts him at a disadvantage essentially from round start

      The backdash also doesn’t make him airborne meaning he can’t use it for instant overheads with brc.

    Floor 10 Sin player who peruses dustloop alot here: I often get frustrated around his special move followup mindgame. The theory is pretty simple, gazelle step beats passive play, but loses to mashing, and the followup is supposed to punish the aforementioned mash and cash out for a sick combo if you have the stamina. In practice though, the opponent really only has to represent 1 or 2 options to beat both followups pretty reliably. The hurtbox on beak driver followup specifically is so goofy and non-threatening that wild 2K/2P mash stuff it a bunch of the time. (sin has to MANUALLY time his followup within a 5-ish frame window or sometimes less to CH here). I'm also finding it near impossible to stop people from just fuzzy guarding after beak driver (you'd need to catch a 4-frame prejump window with the followup to punish and it wont even CH.) This would all be ok I guess, and it mostly is if you have meter to confirm into one of his sick supers, but without it Sin's finicky kit rears its ugly head again. The only counterhit combos that work reliably are from the hawk baker and elk hunt followup. Beak Driver CH CAN combo midscreen if you do gazelle step immediately but its an incredibly tight window, and I'm not 100% sure on this but it seems like CH hoof stomp followup gets you literally nothing at any range, not even a longer knockdown. This isn't even touching on the fact that getting a CH with the specials themselves is super low reward too (CH Beak Driver can combo into gazelle step+2P, that is it. CH Elk Hunt can get walk up 2K/2D which is o.k. Both Hawk Baker and Hoof Stomp CH don't combo into anything at all.) A lot of this would be made more manegable if empty beak driver wasnt -14 on block. Then not doing anything afterwards would be a real respectable sin option to conserve stamina rather than feeling forced to use it so your pressure doesnt immediately end.
    TLDR Sin's main pressure RPS is unthreatening, unrewarding, and generally clunky. Buff framedata

      Absolutely agreed on all of your points there. His CH combos are inconsistent and his frame data is hella wonky. I think we're gonna get some sauce with the bedman patch though.

    I think making gazelle step faster and go farther would help. Every time I try to use it in a block string, they mash 2p or throw

      don't want it to be unreactable either. I think it's in a good spot right now as a jumpscare option, use in combos, and to keep offense after Elk Hunt.
      I'd make it a frame or two faster tops

      I’d make it where your able to react halfway through the gazelle step so you can jump, mash and use specials. I don’t think that’ll be op but it’ll be really good

    Make beak driver hurtbox invul at max distance, less recovery, add air beak driver and let us be able to charge it and full charge is a guard crush. Make eat have meaningful buffs to sins playstyle like if you get meat for a short period of time your follow ups don’t cost stamina

    Floor 7 Sin Main, I'm kinda late to this video, but im glad i wasn't going crazy. its so discouraging and sad how bad sin suffers when he doesn't have stamina, or is matched up against a character that literally does everything better than him. and i feel like they could have at least made his eating mechanic a way to replenish stamina faster.

    seems a lot like Still growing and Beak Driver need substantial buffs. I would say removing the random aspect of still growing is very bad, and should honestly just be made a set pattern or something.

    an easy and thematic buff for sin would be making still growing slightly faster, and after 5 seconds you get 2 extra stamina that doesn't regenerate(why? food gives you energy. why so fast? gear metabolism). so whenever you do still growing you know that in a moment your offense will become insanely strong because you have 2 extra stamina to spend. that's a full elk hunt, followup, and dash for free with a full 3 bars of stamina even after that.
    Oh and make beak driver actually useful, buff the move or buff the followup so you get actual pressure or atleast RPS after using it. then beak driver will be an easy "haha now guess" button for whenever you want to take risks against the opponent

    not gonna disagree, i'm just throwing ideas here. but the idea that beak is punishable is weird.
    i mean, yeah it is. no arguing that.
    but that's that is the same kind of deal that Rams, Nagos, Anjis and others characters with follow ups or rekkas deal with
    yeah they are punishable. but people just won't. unless they got a read. is too dangerous.
    also, even thou is punishable, is still a awkward punish. the hurtbox is projected forward but Sin ain't, how many characters can get more than a poke without tension?

      not many characters can get a proper punish thats true, but its still risky to use. Also all those other characters with rekkas that you mentioned don't have to spend a resource so thats another thing too.

      Go to the end for TL DR
      I dont play much strive or an expert but as a Anji/Sin Player, Anji have Fujin rekkas are fine. No one just gonna use regular fuujin with no follow up. Fuujin got so many options while being oppressive. Fuujin can be spin to beat Neutral or Mashing, It can be cancel immediately into his Jump rekka for a throw, he can do the safe low that is a very consistent frame trap (unlike sin beak driver), he can be plus, or go for his unsafe overhead. Anji rekkas are great actually. And while i dont play Ram or Nago, Ram got fifty/fifty off of her three part rekkas, and Nago could go into something safe, not to mention both characters are really really strong and can oppress you without needing the rekka in the first place
      Sin, on the other hand, Beak Driver has lots of commitment and no reward. Its a rekkas with no layers and has nothing to compensate for it. You basically poking the opponent and pushing them far away while you a character with no neutral. Imagine using beak diver on Kyle, got better buttons, numerous anti air, a faster and more active stun dipper, etc. you basically have to use a full bar of resource to not play an unwinnable midrange match with him and if you do, ggs you’re blocking while in shock state and now ky is closer to his win condition.
      TL:DR, Anji is a character with Rekkas done right while Ram has mix with her Rekkas and Nago can build meter and make it safe while doing his special move cancel that has a low. Sin has no neutral and has a mid to mid rekka that makes him a sitting duck unlike the other

      ​@The Good Stuff I'd still rather have it since it's the only reason I even got the game. you can turn it off and matches are still somewhat stable (outside of the server just dcing you) .
      Tower is cheeks but player matches are working fine for the most part.

      @The Good Stuff I got it for 30$ a couple weeks ago and probably have idk like a days worth of play time at this point. I haven't really any problems at all outside of the tower. But I do understand that is a big part of the game, I just try not to do matches outside of my region.
