- Sharing what I eat in a day as a pregnant mom with gestational diabetes!
Figuring out what to eat with gestational diabetes required a lot of trial and error on my part to see what works for my body. I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be complicated and to give yourself grace!

Thank you for being open about gestational diabetes and having this video! I feel like not many “influencers” are open and/or talk about it. About to be a FTM in Jan and I got diagnosed two months ago! I’m happy to see a video like this!
Thank you so much! It’s definitely not talked about enough. Hoping you hang in there, almost there!
Thanks for posting this! I just got diagnosed with GD at 31 weeks, and videos like this have been very helpful for me as I navigate my diet.
Your numbers were great!! Loved this video super cozy
Omg thank you so much for sharing this. My fasting numbers are always like 103. I cannot get it under 95. I had appointments with two different nutritionists and nobody can tell me the right thing to eat before bed, but I have never tried yogurt and nuts so I'm so grateful to you for posting this. I'm hoping it works for me. I like those yasso bars, 🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏❤️
Your numbers were really good. I always struggle with my fasting numbers. Having GD is very difficult to deal with. Especially because I love my sweets. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video I got diagnosed with GB last week and its been very difficult.. i love seeing what you eat and you go about your day !
You got this mama 🤍 A Facebook group called “gestational diabetes support & meal ideas” really helped me get through the pregnancy!
@@melewing thanks for the tip! ❤❤
I know this video is a year old but I am just wondering you didn’t check your sugar after snacks? You only checked after breakfast, lunch and dinner and of course your fasting morning sugar? Just got diagnosed yesterday and I’m 35 weeks so it’s occurring late in my pregnancy but I wanna make sure I’m tracking right for the next few weeks. Love this realistic video!
Which glucose tracking app are you using? I like that it can give you notifications on the watch as well. I have been using glucose buddy but it’s a little pushy with purchases to get more functionality. Thanks for the video! It’s nice to know we aren’t out here doing it alone ❤
Gestational Diabetes Tracker! It has the pink tear drop logo and I think it’s the most user friendly 🤍
I never really ate healthy my whole life and i got GD so seeing this freaks me out because i feel like i wont be able to do it.
You can do it! You may have to be creative and make it fun. Make goals and give yourself rewards, you can do it! Good luck with your pregnancy journey!
How are you today? I just got diagnosed and honestly same. I’m 30 weeks but I’ve been exercising my whole pregnancy and I barely gained weight which is good I guess. But I haven’t been eating all that healthy. I’m scared as helllll I’m 24 and this is all so new to me😭😭 I’m just hoping my baby will be okay
Thank you for sharing!! 🫶Just got diagnosed before 8 weeks pregnant and it’s kinda scary. This is my first pregnancy so I’m still figuring out what I can and can’t eat. Thanks again!
GD or what type?
@@kimalvarez5956 Yes sadly GD :(
I mentioned during my first phone appointment that Diabetes runs in my family and they had me do the glucose test super early on.
@yanirafuentes5125 girl I got diagnosed type 2 and literally found out I was pregnant like 2 weeks later with my 1st too so im freaking out too. GD will likely go away when your baby is born right?
@@kimalvarez5956 yes, it’ll hopefully go away as long as I take care of myself and follow the diet and insulin they gave me. I’m 18 weeks now and just finally getting all my numbers under control. It’s a lot of trial and error but just pay attention and log what you can and can’t eat. You got this! Praying for a safe delivery 🙏
@@kimalvarez5956Hi, I just got diagnosed with GD and this is my first pregnancy as well. As far as I know the sweet ladies at my clinic said it goes away after birth. Stick to your diet and exercise and you’ll be fine! I’m still figuring it out myself, I’m 30 weeks so it’s not gonna be so long from now. Once I give birth I’m gonna spoil myself with something really good😂
