Thank you for suggesting this song from The Witcher 3! It's such a beautiful game with gorgeous music by Marcin Przybyłowicz! I loved making a cover arrangement for it. Geralt is such a sexy character. hahaha! :D
I initially tried to play guitar for Wolven Storm, but the more I sang it like that, the more curious I became about hearing it on piano. Since the original is so moving, with lute and an angelical voice, I decided to try to experiment and see what happened. Once I found that watery, reverby piano sound... I couldn't look back. You guys know how I love my reverb. hahaha!
Thank you so much for watching. Happy holidayyyys! :D I hope to post another vid for New Years to say hi, but in case we don't see each other, I wish you the very best for 2016. Much love from Mexico!
I'm going to be posting some gameplay videos from The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt on my second channel, in case you enjoy those kinds of videos, here's a link. I'm still editing, so it will be a day or two.

Many thanks to CD Projekt Red for the permission to make and post this cover. What an incredible year you guys had! I wish you many more like this!
And thanks to Omikkron for helping me film this video!

Such a nice touch, singing a part in Polish. Thank you for that :-)
+Kaftann ^^ Kafftan nawet tutaj :D
+Kaftann Czegoś takiego to bym się nigdy nie spodziewał (szok)
+Kaftann Exactly, that was awesome ;)
+Kaftann
I appreciate that she sang in Polish - it was prepossessing.
+Kaftann Kaftan, chyba zgubiłeś kaftan, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (tak wiem, jestem zjebany)
''The witchers' medallion is a silver symbol of the witchers' profession. Each one is shaped to represent the school a witcher comes from. It is sensitive to magic, vibrating and tugging on its chain when spells are being cast''. That amulet should never stop moving when you sing, lady Malukah. Your voice is enchanting!
Very well put.
This is the single most sophisticated compliment in the history of compliments, maybe ever. Malukah, you fully deserve the praise.
I agree. My amulet was trembling throughout the entire video.
Nie wiesz o czym mówisz
Γεια σου Λαυρέντη, βάρδε!
Wow... I'm Polish and when I heard Polish part I was in such a shock... Something incredible... Hats off...
I am impressed but not surprised, her English, to me (non-native) sounds native and she is Mexican as far as I know (so I guess Spanish is her native tongue).... she is a multitalent!
You left us speachless after singing the part in Polish. Actually on the beginning my wife was laughing she will make you a phonetic transcription (as it would be more than cool to hear it in author's language) but the moment you started singing in Polish... Unbelieveble. The whole cover is absolutely briliant. Chapeaux bas!
+Piotr Gorzkowski Piotr! I am very honored that you guys liked the cover and the Polish part I was able to sing! Thank you so much for listening, to both you and your wife! I wish you both a very happy new year :)
+Malukah I'm from Poland too. When you starded singing in polish, I started crying. The Witcher 3 made me cry and you too. Unbelieveble, briliant -> good words in right place. Thank you very much!
+Malukah After all songs inspired by Skyrim i was really impressed. I've been listening to them countless times and they remind me of good Skyrim memories.. Now I have all the memories from the books and games flashing while i listen to this. I knew You are an amazing artist and i enjoyed listening to your covers. This time there are no words to describe how honored and grateful i feel for this tribiute. The effort you put into to createating this version with polish. Thank You... That's all I have to say and I think many other of your polish followers will agree.. You are the best :)
+Malukah Well... to be honest, I don't think it's that great, actually. I'm sure you could do better. Polish language sounds much more "clear" than english (some word phones, like t, d, s or c). Try this to hear www.ivona.com/us/ - i's quite good, choose "polish, Agnieszka". But anyway, your covers are truly beautiful. I like them very much.
And you, guys, should watch the movie "Double life of Veronique" by K. Kieślowski (Malukah, he was maybe the best polish director ever, famous in the world mosly for his Three Colors Trilogy - "Blue" is one of the most artistically impressive movies I've ever seen) featuring french actress Irene Jacob. She speaks with absolutaly PERFECT polish accent. It's just stunning, really hard to believe. Od course, there was polish director but still it's sounds great.
+Malukah You are great! You sing very well in Polish! At start I had some problems to understood, but... You should sing another songs in polish. Your voice is meant to sing in Polish! ^^ How long did you teach to use Polish?
You know what I hate about your videos? That they end...
+Dr. Hurculeez B. PussyFiend I Agree with Dr. PussyFiend.
+Dr. Hurculeez B. PussyFiend Absolutely could not agree more. Why can't they just go on forever?
+Dr. Hurculeez B. PussyFiend you're cool
I know that flaw bothers me every time
+Dr. Hurculeez B. PussyFiend i know i hate how short where are we going is
It's wonderful how, every now and then, I come back to your old videos and they still give me the same wonderful feelings of the first time. You're a gift to this world, Malu!
Luiiiis ❤️ thank you!
The lyrics as sung in the video, with Polish parts..
*These scars long have yearned for your tender caress*
*To bind our fortunes, damn what the stars own*
*Rend my heart open, then your love profess*
*A winding, weaving fate to which we both atone*
*You flee my dream come the morning*
*Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet*
*To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy*
*Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep*
*Za wilczym śladem podążę w zamieć*
_(The wolf I will follow into the storm)_
*I twoje serce wytropię, uparte*
_(To find your heart, its passion displaced)_
*Przez gniew i smutek, stwardniałe w kamień*
_(By ire ever growing, hardening into stone)_
*Rozpalę usta smagane wiatrem.*
_(Amidst the cold to hold you in a heated embrace)_
*Z moich snów uciekasz nad ranem,*
_(You flee my dream come the morning)_
*Cierpka jak agrest, słodka jak bez*
_(Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet)_
*Chcę śnić czarne loki, splątane*
_(To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy)_
*Fiołkowe oczy, mokre od łez.*
_(Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep)_
*I know not if fate would have us live as one*
*Or if by love's blind chance we've been bound*
*The wish I whispered when it all began*
*Did it forge a love you might never have found?*
*The wolf I will follow into the storm*
*To find your heart, its passion displaced*
*The wolf I will follow into the storm*
*The wish I whispered when it all began*
*Did it forge a love you might never have found?*
*NOTE:*
1 -- I don't speak Polish, I just play around with g-translator based on the sound in the video, so I might've wrote the words wrong..
2 -- The words in the bracket is NOT the "exact" translation, its rather the English version of the part of the lyrics sung in Polish..
Well it's one of Deandelions Ballads;
The love between Geralt and Yennefer.
Of course it's not an exact translation, but quite alike. For example: "Za wilczym śladem podążę w zamieć", literally means: "Following the wolf's TRACE I will come into the BLIZZARD" (wherein the verb 'podążać' is an old-fashioned poetic or literary word, not used in colloquial speech, especially in such 'perfect future tense' form).
@@ghuul Thanks a lot for the confirmation.. I'm glad it wasn't far off wrong, what I did was just translating a whole line of English lyric into Polish in g-translator.. then break down word-by-word to find the likely alternative words that match the sound of Malukah's singing which still relevant to the whole line of the lyrics..
Like I said I don't speak Polish, I just happens to have too much free time and a 'good' hearing.. but I came to know quite bit of Polish words during the time I did play around with this lyric..
@@HandsomeGamerGuy Wow...I never realized this was a ballad about Geralt and Yennefer. What a pleb I am! This is making my NG+ playthrough all the more enjoyable now!
instead of 'wyparte' should be 'uparte', 'I twoje serce wytropię, uparte', Everything else correct and I really appreciate your work
malukah needs to be signed for a games soundtrack
haha i dont know if you were saying she needs to be in more but this is even from a gamr
I Will Find Your Pan im saying she needs to be recorded for a soundtrack which would be awesome she would fit the witcher in a way but thats ended
***** ok well that makes more sense and ya i agree
she is in Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombies
She did some songs for the elder scrolls online.
Polish language is difficult. Thank you so much for singing in my language. Congratulations and greetings from Poland!
It is not that difficult, I learned rather quickly, I had a lot of Polish co-workers.

@@SterbenNL nice humble brag
I played The Witcher 3 for the first time in 2017 and also heard your cover for the first time. My grandma died around the same time. I listened to this cover on repeat for a day and cried my heart out. I will always associate your masterpiece with my grandma and remember her when I hear it!
Thank you Malukah!
Much love from Mexico, Mike ❤️ Thank you for sharing this with me.
Polski język jest bardzo trudnym językiem, także jeszcze większy szacunek za podjęcie tak ogromnego wyzwania, brawo! Polish language is very difficult language,so big applauze for Malukah for take this quest, big wow!!!
Not even in the category of the most difficult ones...
Your Polish is quite good :) I am your big fan since "Skyrim Bard Song" and now for me, the guy from Poland who love "Witcher" this song is a great gift in the end of 2015. All the best to You !

Спасибо за ответ.
I never knew the Polish language was so beautiful Edit: I will agree to disagree with some of the replies and just say beauty is subjective
when sang by her it is otherwise mehh
Studio Accantus - check them out! It's a polish recording studio, they make beautiful covers, they also made two covers of Priscilla's song - one sang by Sylwia Banasik, the other by Kuba Jurzyk :)

I agree with you
Thank you for polish version. It was something. Realy. Everyone who tried to learn our language knows what i mean:) Great job.
+Piotr Mazurkiewicz I can relate. :)
I'm not polish but I thought it was super awesome that she sang in polish. Giving respect to the nation and developers that brought us one of the greatest games of all time.
+Piotr Mazurkiewicz We, Polish people, know how difficult our language is. ;) I'm really proud of Malukah because she did it really great!
+Hamid Houssaini Yes, it's really awesome :)
+Piotr Mazurkiewicz Try Czech and then speak something about difficulty of a language :)
The wall of sound you create always feels like a warm hug. Thank you!
this woman and her voice never ceases to amaze me, she's been gifted with the literal voice of an angel a gift very few can actually claim and could do soooo much more with such a mesmerizing voice and towering talent
I'm Polish, from the country where Wiedżmin (The Witcher) have benn written. I always loved Your music, Malukah. Now, you suprised me more than ever. Do you realize, how you sand in my native language?! It's one of most difficult languages of the world and you just...! You sang it SO VERY MUCH proprietly than yet I can't believe, haw great work you have done! Oh, gosh! And I thought it's almost impossible to suprise me that way! Great Job! Sing more! And - I beg you - make your own concerts. At least one in Europe includin'! Really - great job. You are on of the kind...
+Agnieszka Skrzypińska I am very honored that you feel I was able to pay a decent tribute to your country's language! I'm so glad you could understand! Your country has been so incredibly supportive of the music I have shared in the last 5 years. It made me so happy to try to pay a tribute to you.
It seems like Polish people just love you. And we will never stop
I agree Poland will never stop supporting you :D
+Malukah You should really sing the lullabye of woe from the main menu

This is a wonderful redition of a song i fell in love with the first time i heard it in a game. Thank you, Malukah, for not only understanding the music, the feelings it envokes, but also adding a part of yourself that enriches the melody and meaning of this condensed story. I've listened to this at least ten times more than the original. I could say the same for all the elder scrolls songs. Thank you, truly.
I'm a Pole, but your transformation is like drinking a good Slavic tincture on an evening barbecue. Maybe you are not aware of it, but you wake up extremely Slavic calm. and this language, good Polish, for which rivers of blood shed our ancestors for our freedom and yours. Thank you very much for this masterpiece. that's my opinion of course.
You are badass people
Im American and I know this is as of this a 9month old post but never have I felt the courage of a people more than I have after learning the history of Poland. May the sun always rise for the polish people.
This woman needs to sing the score to the next elder scrolls. The entire thing

Some things just don't make sense in this world. Like why hasn't Malukah got a contract to sing the title song of a major video game yet. Maybe I AM a Malukah fanatic but still, it IS weird and kinda illogical. Hope the day's not that far.

I've been working late/early/night shifts for 8 years now and ~2 years ago, I got sleeping problems - never falling asleep or never sleeping more than ~3 hours.
Music helps a bit however - and Malukah's songs are a big part of the solution. Thanks a lot for existing and being awesome :)

Cold showers. Start lukewarm and then gradually lower the temperature to the lowest you can take it before your start gasping for air or shaking. You shouldn't shake, it's not meant to be torture. Then stay for 3-4 minutes.
Get an electric heated blanket in your bedsheets. And go to bed, with music or a good movie you've seen 100 times.
This is the ticket for me.
+Fappsu Thank YOU for existing and for the beautiful compliment. It really encourages me to continue making music. I'm so happy that it can help you relax and sleep!
No surprise that the Polish vocals are more of an impact and powerfully delivering. Gorgeous singing.
Still my favorite cover. Hands. Down.
Malukah, you are so amazing! So, I have not heard this song until now, it just randomly appeared in my Spotify. I thought to myself "Yay, a Malukah song!" But... while I was expecting English, you also covered some other parts - I am only assuming they are Polish. And... I understood them! I am not even Polish, I am Czech, but you got the Slavic feel so right I understood the words. So, this is my huge praise to you for doing such a great job!
Also as always, your singing it wonderful and full of satisfying emotion, but that goes without saying.
Magnificent as always! I love how you adapted it for piano and spliced the English and Polish lyrics. And the harmonies towards the end gave me chills. Would love to hear your take on "Lullaby of Woe" as well. :)
+heavyonit I'm so happy you liked the arrangement! Thank you!!!!
Just finished playing Witcher 3 Blood and Wine.. after listening to your song.. i wanna go back to the journey and listen to this track again.. thanks for this amazing gift
I just found out that I waited almost a year to write this comment... but when you posted this song it was perfect timing for me. I want to make movies and I got stuck in the paperwork and funding attempts for my first feature and I didn't have any motivation left, and then you released this song and it changed a lot for me. I never played the game, but I grew up on Sapkowski's Witcher saga and I absolutely love the fight scenes. And this song triggered memories from the books and helped me go on with the not-so-sexy film paperwork. Thanks a lot 😀
This is fantastic! Not-so-sexy paperwork is always such a drag, but I'm super duper happy to hear that you found the motivation to keep working through it!!!! Best of luck on your journey, Bogna! Thank you so much for writing this comment because this now motivates ME to hurry up and release the new song I'm working on hahaha! :D

Holly Molly ...you are great! Poland aproved! 😘
Probably your best cover.
I'm still shared between this one and the Dragonborn Comes. But both are just so amazing

Dragon age once we were for me
Your voice moves me to tears.... Thank you for such beautiful music...
4 years later I still come back to this video fairly frequently because it's just that good.
You could sing the phone book and I'd happily listen to it, so a song like this is just amazing. Muy bueno, muchas gracias.
+snowpdx Hahaha! John Smith 555-4837... Jane Smith 555-98776 hahahaha! Like that???? Thank you so much for watching and for the compliment. My very best wishes to you for 2016!!!
Yep, I'd listen to it on loop :) Happy new year to you too!
There are not many songs or musicians that made me shed a tear, but your voice did it. Thank you, ffing amazing!
Your voice, on top with your eyes telling so much (!!!), generally your strong appearance and your talent as a musician make of this a diamond ! It's impossible to get enough from this epic piece ! Thank you !!!
Getting chills every single time i hear this rendition of yours Malu (and the times are many!) Thank you for this beauty with which you grace our ears.
I fuckin cried at 1:44... Congratulations from Poland. Stay awesome.
GroxPL nice! I'm proud that you confessed that
Me too
GroxPL SIEMA ZIOMEK
Why?
This version of the song is so haunting and mystic! It's AWESOME!! It really catches the right atmosphere of the Witcher 3 game (which in my opinion actually is quite melancholic, mystic and sad). This really hits it.
Thanks for this beautiful rendition! Goosebumps all over!!
Yaaaay! I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you very much! :D
i love t
Whenever I need a song to lift my spirits, I always arrive back here.
@Malukah Simply, Thank you,

+Gumbi I wish I could :(
Been playing all week myself, enjoying every bit of time I have left then it's back to culinary school..
+Gumbi Now I'm going to cry.... My PS4 broke and I can't play my witcher...
I finished the game like 3 or 4 times and I want to do it again but this fckn PS4 :c
***** I hope you have fun reading, I've read them all and their great!
This song is basically a love letter from Geralt to Yennefer.
Masquerade There are parts from Yen's point of view too though. It's hinted at that dandelion tells Geralt's story to bards all around and that's why he's so famous and has songs written about him
Masquerade didn't know geralt had such feminine voice...
The song is kind of bitter-sweet
This is such a fantastic version of the song with the multiple voices at the end that really lifts it to another level. Thank you for making this.
Medalion drży... To miejsce mocy. Trzeba z niego zaczerpnać ;)
Zanosi się na deszcz Polaków.

Japa tam z tył i słuchać
@@Unknown_Noise Tak było, nie zmyślam
@@Unknown_Noise stolica kultury... Kurwa mać
From 3:11 to the end... I thought I'd cry.... Just wonderful. Malukah, you're truly the best cover artist I know T____T ♥♥♥
IKR I GOT GOOSEBUMPS IN IT O.O
Me too! Exquisite
Damn. Respect for polish part.
Undoubtedly the best version on the internet. I am addicted to this. Once I come across it, I listen to it at least 3 times. You do a brilliant job seriously just magical
Been a huge Witcher fan for over a decade; this rendition of this song never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Such power and emotion!
3:11
Some of the best harmony I've ever heard??
Agreed. This part never fails to give me goosebumps
yeah really yes!
Agreed !
amen to that :)
Why I can't give you second like!? I love this song! Thanks for the Polish part.
Greetings form Poland!
You sing beautyfully in Polish :-)
Sure she is making otherwise ugly and twisting Polish language audible and by the way you are Pole and how on Earth you use my town symbol knowing that we do not like you at all. You should use Cross and Woitila on it instead.
ok go to hell fucking idiot
+Cheers :) I like the nice comments xD
Gdy pierwszy raz to odsłuchałem miałem łzy w oczach.
Your voice is so very rich! Unmistakable, and beautiful talent. Thank you for this and all the other recordings. Never stop please.
I was so excited to see this in my sub box! I absolutely love your work, and love the vibe you give off with your music. The washed out reverby feel works so well with your voice, but I thought I might share a cool thing I do sometimes when I have to compromise with such a huge washy reverb. I send the vocal to a reverb fader, so I can control the level of the reverb that way, and then I eq the reverb so that it is not competing so much with the lead, but still gives the vocal a feeling of being in a space. Again, I absolutely adore the washy reverb sound, but I also wanted to share a cool trick for a future song you want to have a different feeling! Keep on doing what you are doing!
+hobbitkiller45 Thank you so much for sharing this trick! I'll definitely try it out! :D And thank you for watching :D I know I don't post often, so it means a lot to me that you are still subscribed!!!!
+Malukah (sorry for my english, I'm french) I love your work and I was so surprised when you sang in polish! Congratulation!
+Malukah I think I can speak for everybody if I say, Maluka, that if we had to empty our sub-boxes, you'd be amongst the last left in there.
+Otumn You said your English might be bad, but you almost got that perfect. Capitalise the P in Polish, and put an s on the end of Congratulations. Congratulations!
+Otumn Thank you for listening! :D
goosebumps from toes to forehead 0-0
I feel you its surreal and gave me chills. Even better than the original
+Beaf raid Thank you both so much for listening and for what you wrote!
+Malukah I'm so excited to hear more of your covers. I have never heard a more beautiful voice. keep up the good work, you'll go places!!
Breathtaking. Felt every word in this song. I remember when I was playing Witcher and this song come out in Russian and I was stunned, almost cried. Listen few different language versions after and want impressed. YOU put your soul in this song, it’s officially my favourite version now. Ripped to MP3 and played hundred times on my iPhone already. Thank you so much Malukah!
Absolutely beautiful rendition of this already perfect song
