Tbh that’s why I don’t watch this channel. It randomly pops up in recommend. Which I guess is awesome for him getting attention to the channel but I don’t like shorts. I like vlogs or regular vids to play in the background while I do stuff.
You should do a truck tour. Also I love your videos. My great uncle and paternal grandfather were truckers for years when I was young so 1990s... lol I love your shorts and videos because it gives me a look into what their lives were like.
That’s a sick truck. Brand new! Please do more driving vlogs. I’m going to be a trucker soon! And wanna see the life first. Thanks sir love the content!
Crank the handle forward (counter clockwise) to go forward - raise the feet. Crank the handle backwards (clockwise) after you’ve gone backwards (backed into your spot) and are ready to drop. I don’t know, a little thing that helped me remember what to do with that handle!
Brother, always check the loading support legs on the rear. They are known to stay up and not move back. So the whole weight of the load will be hitting on them down the highway.
Congratulations to your brother!!! I was in the Air Force and it was a good experience for me. Really missed the midnight chow where you could go eat some good food whether or not you ate your supper earlier!!! So PLEASE tell your brother CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 ♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡
Oh I miss eating spaghetti. I used to eat it literally everyday before I got into trucking. Now it just takes too long to cook so I just don't make it anymore. U got the garlic bread right??? Gotta have the garlic bread. And the meat be Italian sausage. Absolutely delicious!!!
Ooooh the New Truck looks so sweeeeet! Also you could have filmed on base at the graduation, that's very common for people to do since it's a graduation. Now if you were just aimlessly wondering around the base filming, someone would have stopped you. But congratulations to your brother!! (Hopefully he has a good job he will enjoy)
Watching that tight squeeze at the beginning of the video made me think of the Walls lining the freeways here in central Arkansas... 😬 Yikes that's terrifying. ✌🏻☮️
Yeah the walls are terrifying. Themirrors on the truck stick out so I get super close to hitting the wall. Anytime I see a wall on the shoulder of the right lane I just drive in the middle lane to avoid hitting it
I was driving with my convertible top down and I passed one big truck i sensed was harassing me. So i tried to speed away for couple miles on interstate but got caught in traffic coming in the city. Unfortunately he caught up with me and I got stuck with another truck in front of me. So I got sandwiched in very close between 2 big trucks in a tiny convertible. I was pissed! Thought about my middle finger but not worth my sanity. Do you guys get a kick out of pissing regular small joyful drivers off? I'm thinking of getting a cdl just to see what's the mentality of truckers.
We're you at Lackland AF base? For the ceremony? I wish you could tell us more about what you did and saw there. Also if you got to hang out a bit with your brother. Did your parents also go and things like that. Nobody came to my ceremony but it was my thing and never thought a thing of it. Was just happy for the day to arrive so I could get on with my base of employment in CA. Good times.
I'm just picky and wanted a kenworth. Lol. I went to trucking school driving a kenworth, my last company only had kenworths and I've just grown used to them
Instead of always looking for a different empty trailer tell your dispatcher if they're willing to make it worth your while to drive the trailers to get fixed, some companies pay up to 300 a day to haul trailers to get fixed that way in the long run there's more trailers
You need to ask or demand a raise a big one I just realized you have quite a bit of followers and it seems like a lot of guys are wanting to get their CDLs you are a great advertisement for whatever company you are driving for I would tell them to double your pay or you're going somewhere else take it to your advantage 👍 you would make a great recruiting tool
Word of advice if you ever end up calling manure or straw stuff like that from ranches or big parks make sure you are not hauling it for a drug deal mushroom plants places like that that use fertilizer I had that happen
Hey, did you ever notice that if a truck in the lane next to you gets too close the truck will swerve away from it? Our Cascadia our company issued us does this ALL THE TIME.
@@ravagestyx6997 pretty sure the us xpress trucks do I’m not sure about variant they probably disabled it cause they listen to their driver’s I asked another usx driver if they have them he said yes
I just like this truck brand kenworth. I like how comfortable of a ride it is. It absorbs bumps on the road soooo well so it's very comfortable to drive
How do you like the intransit?! Does your company provide navigo?! Mine does and it works great ‼️ it's Taylored specifically for our routes exactly. ✔️
Dang only 40 miles and you passed though my town in Troy Texas to get to Dallas! Man you should come to my work and get your truck washed out or washed if you ever come back this way! I work at all American tire and diesel in Troy come by sometime if your in Texas!!!
Oh I'm just weird. I like to park far far away from the truckstop. My thinking is that nobody really wants to park far away from the truckstop cause then it's a longer walk to go inside and use the bathroom. So there'll be less people parking near me which mean less of a chance of getting my truck hit by another truck when they're parking next to me
It seems like tornado season gets pushed further earlier. I remember hearing on the news the season starting in May, now it starts in April. Global warming my bud... Tornados in November and March are a thing nowadays... :(
You dropped a trailer at the Home Depot DC in Houston? I ran loads from there for a couple months with Werner. I always parked on the street there and would do my 34 hr resets there too.
Can someone pls explain me how this system works of picking up the trailer that you want? Doesn't your company specifically says which one you should take?
I seen a lot of CFI videos like this as well just seams a lot of wasted time to go fine a trailer whould it be faster just to do live loads and this way maybe you can keep a better maintainice on the trailer you have?
i love my new truck. new video on it coming soon

Can't wait, keep it up!
Narrow
Is it only automatic trucks you drive? or you drive both manual and automatic?
Are you a company driver or a owner operator? I am not trying to be rude.
The longer vids are much better then shorts. Wouldn’t mind waiting 2-3 days for a longer video in replacement for the shorts.
That's nice but the shorts being in money.
Why not do both!
I fully agree

As a retired AIR FORCE VET AND 38 YEAR TRUCKER. SUPER CONGRATS TO YOUR BRO AN YOU. Great vids love it
I can feel the confidence in the way you speak compared to when you were new, good job, and thanks for sharing everything with us
Congratulations to your brother. You should be very proud as I'm sure he is of you.
Alex, could you make a video showing us your new truck, that would be awesome and I’ll really appreciate that ✌🏻
long video please!

Crank the handle forward (counter clockwise) to go forward - raise the feet.
Crank the handle backwards (clockwise) after you’ve gone backwards (backed into your spot) and are ready to drop.
I don’t know, a little thing that helped me remember what to do with that handle!
Doesn't always work that way though. Depends on how the legs are mounted.
Depends on the trailer honestly because some trailers are backwards
RVs should require CDLs as well, especially when towing trailers
California does class b

Sweet new truck! Company is definitely taking care of you. Hopefully you grabbed everything you needed out of your old one.
Really liked this type of video. If its not too difficult to do with editing and planning the video, I think these would be much loved by everyone.
I'm figuring it out. It's just a learning phase I gotta get through
You have the best trucking channel hands down
I love your videos they make me want to do trucking but I also love them because you don’t just do the prose you also do the cons and I love it
Yup I try to keep it transparent as to what being a trucker is really like. I love this job. It's a dream job but even it has downsides
It’s 5:45 am PST just home from work now eating spaghetti and seen you posted. Perfect video to eat to!

My company is just before that loves! I’m with TNi
Hey Alex did your new truck have that wonderful new truck smell ????
Yup and if I see 1 crumb on the floor I immediately grab the vacuum. Lol
I thought the freightliner was the new truck this whole time
It was a new truck but I traded it in for an even newer one
I don't never driven a semi truck but I still love eating your videos. I guess it's because I understand your love for the roads lol.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didint you just get a new one recently?
My cousin graduated in San Antonio from the Airforce the other day as well
Eyyyyyy yeah we went to see the Alamo. There were a couple other airforce graduates there too
Please do more longer videos i love them!!

Happens all the time.. Started to question if its an actual safety mechanic, Truck seems to pull the other way by itself huh
There’s a sensor on the side flaring . You can find it inside of the fearing or some have it visible outside . You can disconnect this mechanism .
I’m pretty sure every company truck driver knows that
Far as i know us xpress/variant doesnt have those sensors on our trucks we just have the front radar for the adaptive cruise control
