i started taking lions mane for its supposed ability to heal the nerves in the brain of people with alzheimers..i have neuropathy from nerve damage..pinched nerves etc..sounds like there may be a further connection in your case.

I'm glad to hear that, I hope it works even better over time.
I was just wondering something similar to this myself. Being they act on the brain so strongly, I am curious to if they would possibly help a coma patient. Act like a "jump start".

So, I don't know about paralysis, but Dennis McKennah actually discusses a combination of psilocybin, vitamin C (niacin), and lions mate to treat damaged nerves. Psilocybin actually stimulates cell grown in the brain and interacts with serotonin receptors. It can help create new neural pathways. Used with vitamin C, it could help to spread that effect through the nervous system. Lion's mane has a particular form of protein that is used by the body to insulate nerves and neurons. He references a few studies and goes in depth. It would be worthwhile to look him up. His brother Terrance is my man. 🫠

Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

Microdosing is LIFECHANGING 🥺🥰♥️ I’ve suffered from C-PTSD, major depression and some anxiety and drinking too much alcohol as an escape from it all - I was a hot head with a-lot of anger and rage inside of me as my mother constantly yelled and screams at every stress in life including spilt milk - I unfortunately took after her toxic traits as it’s all I ever knew. Now I’m her opposite; calm kind relaxed and life stresses don’t get to me, micro-dosing has literally changed my life and my mental health. I am the utmost grateful 😇

I've been steadily doing micro dose for the past 3 years. In the beginning I was starting a great job in a completely new industry and was hoping it could help me absorb the knowledge as it was a fast learning curve. 3 years later I'm regional sales manager, making more money than ever and seriously conquering goals. Def feel a more uplifted mood. Use them before the gym and get really focused contractions and mind muscle connections.
Have never tripped tho, but very much considering it.
I do think they help you focus and reduce anxiety, definitely improved mood and feeling. I can feel the dose in about 15-30 min.

It's definitely not a placebo effect. When you microdose for so long, you forget about the preconceptions. I find myself whistling and singing more, where it's not forced. I'm happier overall, and have more of an urge to connect with family. Microdosing makes me feel more human. I personally feel like microdosing increases my ADD for the day, but I may have to dial the dose down a little. The benefits outweigh the downsides.
I've talked to people who micro and macrodose to help with a TBIs. I'm told that it's easier to find words when talking, and it helps improve short term memory. I've also heard of it helping with hearing, where people who could no longer hear birds could hear them again.

We once took some mushrooms and for the first time in years he could hear children in the distance playing and birds, he and everyone was blown away!!
The bummer was once the mushrooms wore off the deafness came back. He's tried it again hoping to do it but this time it didn't work even through it was the mushrooms from the same batch. I got no idea the mechanics behind it at all, if someone does please enlighten me!

Two weeks later I went through a huge depression. Now I am back micro-dosing and feeling great again. Before all of this, I had been on a high dose of Prozac for years, and I weaned off for 2 months before microdosing. Now I am attempting to grow my own. I used to have to take Adderall for ADD, and while it helped immensely with my ability to focus at work, I had to avoid taking it after around 1pm to get to sleep. But the crash was awful. I had to avoid taking it on weekends, so I wouldn't acclimate and have to up my dose. I got to the point where I realized that it made it so that I was only "good" while working. The rest of the time that should have been dedicated to living my life was spent recovering from the effects. I was starting to get depressed and panic about the whole thing.
A friend recommended that I try micro-dosing instead. I was surprised to find that I didn't miss the stimulant part and began to realize that when I took a micro-dose, it re-calibrated my value system, so the work and money things that used to stress me out just became less important, so the anxiety went away.
I found that a significant source of my ADD lack of focus came from this anxiety, and when micro-dosing re-calibrated my value set and removed the pressure, I could focus way better. Even better than when I was on the Adderall. I also found a clarity that helped me problem-solve better at work, even on the days I wasn't dosing.
I'm really grateful to have found this stuff.

I’m nearly 70 years old and have been what you would call micro dosing which I refer to as “flickering” with mushrooms and acid for years. It helps to clear away the clutter in one’s mind. And have beer able to access memories of particular alternative medication for a near on 20 years period. Your memories are all down there somewhere to be rediscovered and used again for more positive aspects which you probably were never aware of back before. But today as someone gave me a lot of psychedelics for my birthday I quietly removed them later as I am contented with my life and future and just use my creativity to release new energies.

I did try a heroic dose and later a tiny white little very angrily blue amazonensis (which felt the same as the heroic dose). I didn't get any of the radical positive change in mental or physical health as many others have experienced, but I did get back a tiny bit of intrinsic motivation, positive outlook and appreciation for the world, all of which I had completely lost. As well as a bit more mental fortitude, but it didn't really change the depression, anxiety, mood swings or autoimmune issues. Other diet changes and supplements were much more effective for these.
It's not a silver bullet, at least not for me, I still have a long way to go.

Fascinating video; As someone using meds and going through types and dosages for Adult ADHD, this caught my eye.Basically the drugs work, but the side effects are somewhat in the long term, concerning, ie raised blood pressure, heart rate, and for me Raynaud's syndrome (very cold hands, feet and strangely, lips), a weird speech tick of stumbling over my words, like the intellectual who struggles with public speaking.
Your results concerning; starting things, getting the secondary/tertiary jobs done, tidying up, basically not procrastinating, and the big one, calming the noisy brain down looking for (in my case) dopamine, so all the internal thoughts are like a 6 highway interchange with no signage, going from the noise of angry drivers stuck in a loop, to signs in a intuitive hierarchy, so the drivers barley have to think, they just follow and all the needless chatter and anger dissipates, they get on with their day.
To what on a far greater and aggressive scale the ADHD amphetamines do for those with the condition.
So in my case, I'm not exactly micro dosing, but take 4h drugs when I need them, but even when not on them I am definitely more aware, though I suspect this could be a good cognitive 'self awareness' of my shortfalls, ie if you thought x is who you are when in fact x is a psychological abnormality, then as Rumsfeld said (paraphrased), it becomes a known, known, rather than an unknown, known. (Rumsfeld is a classic case of a stopped watch is right twice a day, out of the mouths of babes and suckings as they say).
Really interested as to how this works, and I am sure those in the ADHD and others in the neurodiverse community would also be interested, now following....
    Cheers from the UK

These things don't seem to induce dependence, which speaks volumes about their credibility as a viable treatment. It's not akin to an SSRI, where if the supply chain is disrupted you may go off the deep end and choose to end your life. You can get what you need within a defined timeframe and move onward. Elegant and beautiful. Seems to me a much better alternative to cannabis for any mental health issues.

Having done microdoses over the past two years on and off. I am much like you I don't need it often, and too if you have slightly too much and it begins to be felt, it can feel a bit unsafe...however. this is easily mitigated if you are willing to measure each dose. I used to put them into capsules but I've found that sometimes I want a little more of an effect, and sometimes I want 0 noticable effect.
However what I can say is that on any day that I take a microdose, everything seems to go more smoothly, as someone in the video stated, mundane tasks no longer feel like a chore, take cleaning out a litter box for example. On a normal day I hate cleaning the litter box, the smells, the dust, and just the act of cleaning it are bothersome. On a Microdose day, I probably will just do it to have it done and out of the way, almost without thought of the unpleasant aspects of the actions. I am intentionally avoiding the word mindless, as the MD does not turn an unpleasantry into something that you just will do mindlessly, it's actually quite the opposite. To be clear on a non MD day, the thought "I need to clean the litter box" comes into being, and then there might be an hour or two before I actually do it. On a MD the thought comes into being, and the action comes into being within 5-10 minutes, this is true for almost all things on a MD, "I need to drink less pop", "I need to eat healthier", "I need to exercise more", or even "I want to go ride my bike" there is much less time in-between the thought and the action. I bought a Mountain bike recently and I've been saying ever since I bought it that I needed to tune my gears, the other day I was waiting for my fiance before we could go ride. I had a MD early in the day, and shortly after the MD I found myself playing with the gearing, without ever having really put the thought out there. It's just like my brain knew "if I tune that, it will make the ride more enjoyable, so I geuss it's just time to tune it"
It's a very productive feeling that it produces. I understand the "macrodose for immediate life changing benefits" mentality however I also believe that the microdose as a whole might be just as powerful when used on a good schedule as it produces results, every single time.
To the note that healthy people might not see the effects, I think this is true however if the healthy person had something coming up in which they knew that finding the motivation to get said tasks done was going to stress them, If they then took a microdose, they may find the result a little more readily. "Healthy" is kind of subjective. I have a buddy who is happy, and healthy with a wife and three kids. He had never expressed an interest in Psychadelics, however I gave him a microdose to take on his own time, and he found that with the microdose the pain he had in his sciatic nerve went from what he said was a 7/10 pain down to a 1/10. He doubled up the dose I recommended and had some other fun effects too, but this was the major take away for him. Was it was a relief from some of the physical pain he has had for the past several years.
I would recommend everyone at least try Micro Dosing at least for a month or so, and see how they feel. I think most people will fall in line with "I don't need this regularly, but it is a handy tool to keep in mind" camp

Just remeber that the checmial and the mushroom are two diff things. Heavy trips at 20-30 mg of psylocibin is 2-3 g of mushroom.

I'd live to try miceodosing, but wonder if I'm interrupted in an activity, if this will effect my experience negatively for a long period of time, like I experienced with recreational use of mushrooms in my late teens/early 20s.

Micro dosing changed my life! In deep depression I start with 1 gram I know that’s not a micro dose but it’s the sweet spot for me when I start. I’m not on a full journey but I’m not normal either. Then the next day I tone it down to a .2 to .3 and continue this for 5-7 days. Then I take a week or two off and restart the .2-.3 process over again. The reason for the 1 gram start is when I just can’t get my hands on anything and I fall into a depression hole. Been on ssri for a long while and since microdosing I haven’t taken any of that poison. If the dam government would wake up and change the legislation on this I could easily get my meds and not ever fall into any depression. I have taken macros and I will say that a macro sets me free for a few months just sometimes I don’t like taking the journeys they can be intense at times and other times super smooth. As long as big pharma has there dirty hands in lobbying I fear we will never be able to be completely free.

Everybody is struggling with mental health and could benefit from careful therapeutic use of substances like these. Wanna try, but keep being told I can't do it alone for the first time.

I have had depression second time and cleared it totally with two weeks of golden teacher microdosing - the most important is to do it in warm sunny days and go outside to the narure then it works miracles

I microdosed all January this year and I noticeably got better at my job. I do computer work and the focus that macrodosing provides is extremely beneficial. I’m able to critically think at faster rates and have an overall productive day

For those that haven’t tried mushrooms yet, a few things to remember.
    1) Less is more. Once the effects kick in, you can always take more, you can never take less. When micro dosing, as said in the video, the trick is taking a small enough amount where the psychoactive effects are not consciously observable.
    2) Set and setting. If you decide to macro dose, not micro, the most important thing is where you are and who you’re with. If the purpose of your trip is to find peace, be in a calm setting with peaceful people. If the purpose is to have fun, be in a setting and with people that encourage fun (in a way that’s safe while tripping). Whatever your purpose is, apply that to where you are and who you’re with.
    3) Consider a trip sitter if macro dosing for your first trip. This is someone who you trust that has experience tripping. This can be immensely helpful if the effects of the mushrooms sometimes become overwhelming.
    4) Don’t let other’s experiences dictate what you think your experience will be like, but do take notice of things they did that either made their trip better or worse. If they had a bad trip, did they get into an argument hours prior? If they had a great trip, did they sleep for a full eight hours and eat a healthy breakfast that morning? All of these things influence your trip, so take note of the people that have experienced what you’re seeking to experience

I tried microdosing for the 1st time yesterday- took a 200mg capsule and ate two small pieces of chocolate 20 min after and didn’t feel anything. Am I doing something wrong? Also, is a sitter necessary for your first macro experience? Asking because I can’t think of anyone that can I can ask to be there for me

This like 15 years ago and more but i used to learn a lot of new skatboarding tricks while microdosing or with a full stomach. I could literally visualize it better and feel it from head to toe more....and it helped me reach that point of concentration "the black out" as its known where im tuned in and land everything lol. Fun stuff

I haven't stuck to microdosing, but I do notice benefits each macrodose or trip. I've never experienced what someone may call a "bad trip" because even if it wasn't pleasant, the dose brought up something thar needed to be worked on or expressed.

  • @milesanderson301

I used to take heroic doses when I was younger and experimenting. Had a few uncomfortable moments, but I never had a bad trip. I have not tripped in over a decade.
But I have micro dosed on and off for over 2 years. It definitely has been a pleasurable experience for me. My overall mood is more consistently sound and on the up. I feel more aware of myself and my surroundings. My billiards game improved significantly. It definitely feels like I have connected more neural pathways in my brain.
The only downside is when I have gotten a slightly larger dose and needed to do something important. Even then, the slight impairment was very subtle.
I will say it may not be for everyone. Some people have underlying conditions that magic mushrooms may not do well for them. I have friends who will never be the same again after doing too many mushrooms. I would imagine micro dosing could possibly do the same for some. It can bring out conditions like schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and often anxiety in some people. It needs to be studied more, but for some, it can be an incredible chemical compound. To those who try it, safe travels 🙏
