@@ThereISABootONYourTHROAT that's a pretty strong stance to take. Fact is we pretty much all take drugs in some way and almost everyone tries to dissociate at certain points. People pretty regularly say its one of the most important experiences in their life and I think its pretty apathetic to be dismissive of that, to both the hurt and the healing that those people been through. But you keep your abstinence up, we're all proud of ya for not doing it, and we're all proud of people that did do it and saw real progress or benefits. What's 100℅ true for you, isn't for everyone. Good luck to you in you're endeavors!

I was a participant in the John Hopkins study. All i can say is that even years after, I am profoundly changed and I want desperately to shout to the world to allow this research and use! I received decades of healing in one session. The most profound experience of my life. Thank you for talking about this! Man, I want to go back to that mind space. Everything fell into place and was so clear to me. Death doesn't scare me at all! Life is joyful even on the hard days. I went back to school. And I'm now pursuing a masters degree in chaplaincy. I was over 50 years old during the study And i recommend it to anyone, as long as they don't have contraindications. It is shameful this is withheld and illegal. Keep talking about this!

@maryannpainten2695 I applied to do this and was accepted. I had to do so much documenting but I was glad. It means this could actually become a reality for our country to help in healing so many people. I'm a retired paramedic and an avid believer in holistic health and natural medicine whenever possible. I jumped at this opportunity and was able to do this at my home with a safe person in a safe setting. It was one of the most profound experiences I've ever had. The effects continue to this day. If I could ever become a guide, I would jump at the chance. It's that healing. Life changing actually.

do you suggest using it for someone with bad depression most of my life bro? i am thinking of getting some magic mushrooms (not sure from where tbh atm) how much would you reccomend taking?

    • @wellfedlove
      @wellfedlove 9 місяців тому +34

@w3w3w3 I do recommend using it for healing for profound depression but it must be with someone who knows how to guide. You also need to make sure you do not meet the criteria for who should not use it. Dosing will be dependant on many factors including body mass and size. I took between 2 and 3 grams and had a long and powerful session. I am 5'5" and weigh 125 pounds. I recognize that it is illegal however and you must be aware of that. I have been profoundly changed for the better and that has not changed. I love a joyful life and I'm thrilled to be alive! I plan to do another dose soon simply to wrap up what may be a couple loose ends related to my past. I am an abuse survivor. Both at the hands of a pedophile and an ex husband and then was excommunicated and shunned when I left that marriage. To this day, neither side of my family speaks to me. It's been over 25 years now. I had profound PTSD and had a date chosen to end my life. 09/27/2021.
What mushrooms did for me is nothing short of miraculous.
My number one recommendation is to be under the care of a guide who understands the process and will keep you safe and the environment as you need it. I never felt fear. The visual hallucinations were stunningly beautiful and I was in the presence of the Divine. I'm absolute in my belief of that. The experience was so incredibly profound and healing that I found my brain struggling with not wanting to leave that Presence. I finally felt part of everything and that my existence is not accidental and it matters that I'm here. I went back to school in my 50s. I'm now an ordained minister of chaplaincy and I'm going for my Masters. Iwas formerly a Paramedic. I'm also a HUGE advocate for psilocybin use in treating depression, PTSD, and abuse. No counseling ever came close to helping like this did. I wish you all the best!!

@maryannpainten2695 I applied to be part of the at home use study through John Hopkins and was selected. I was required to send lots of information and they required answers to many questions. I did two sessions, spaced apart. Both were truly beautiful. It's the fact that the results continue that truly blows my mind! I am a joyful, social, happy human where before, I was planning to end my life. Had everything set.. day, method, place. What a true pleasure to be alive every single day!

I dabbled with microdosing (1g max) about 3 times in 2021 - last Sunday I finally pulled the trigger on 3.5g of p. envy... most profound, deeply emotional and introspective experience of my entire life. The lessons I took away from it are forever embedded in my psyche. What I've taken from it made more of a shift in my consciousness in a single session than a year of talk therapy. Although I think therapy was a huge element in exposing me to a lot of valuable information, but it was always difficult to implement. Old patterns die hard. With my trip - I cried for 3 hours about various things my mind was bringing up. It came in waves. It was so intense but as soon as I let out all the emotion and tears about whatever I was processing I would then calm down and then the next wave would hit. The cycle would repeat until I went through everything I needed to. Above all, the lesson I took away from my trip is any difficult emotion or challenge - I can handle. And I learned to truly ACCEPT. Accept that if I am the way that I am, to accept others as they are. And that is LOVE.

But I also have witnessed an associated phenomenon that I haven't heard discussed. Patients report a decrease in symptoms but they also report feeling unconditional love, feeling cared for's and about and feeling like they are part of something bigger themselves. Feelings of awe, while in a psychedelic state. They come out of the experience with an increased desire to cultivate these feeling in their waking life. I don't think its just less depression but I think it's a result of the ability to feel more and the mystical experience many participants have. It has been a very interesting, although anecdotal, observation. Thank for all you do!

Well that was excellent. I'm 57 and when I was 18 in 1984 I had a massive '100 Liberty Caps' trip, and it was by far the most profound and important thing I had ever done. Previously I'd been a geeky kid who studied nature - during the trip I experienced a deep connection with the Universe - probably some degree of ego death, as I felt my body's molecules to be at one with the earth under me, the grasses around my head (I couldn't stand up) and the insects flying over me, the trees in the periphery of my vision and the clouds overhead, and the moon and emerging stars - I felt part of this whole. I experienced a deep love for all of this, and was at peace. Also during this trip I found a horse in a field, and I'd never cuddled a horse's head and scratched behind it's ears or 'bonded' like that, and I could tell it was sentient and had thoughts and emotions.
Many things changed after that - went vegetarian, dropped out of college, got into music and art, and started living a 'deep green' lifestyle which has since given me some degree of fame with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the UK and a very unusual 'freegan' lifestyle. I focus on quality of life, health and happiness, and try to spread joy wherever possible. I work as an entertainer and circus skills teacher, but educate about various ecological and climate-related subjects too. I put much of this down to my psychedelic epiphany.
So I'm glad to learn some of the biochemical and neurological reasons that I had such a wonderful awakening, thank you.

So for me, my traumas compartmentalized themselves obviously due to the training and me doing that to keep my mind afloat during my time in. Problem is with compartmentalizing and the military is they don't ever teach you to unpack that stuff later for processing and etc. So you're mostly just left with the memories, feelings, emotions and so forth. PTSD to me was feeling like I was in a prison in my own mind. While I can interact, talk, have fun and be the life of the party, my brain actively was still in this mode of analyzing people as threats. Hyper vigilance though no one could tell I was being hyper vigilant.
Psilocybin worked for me in this way.
Upon microdosing for a month after meeting someone who grew their own and then put it into capsules, I went about my life taking it once a day like a vitamin.
I would describe it as feeling like the world was just so much clearer to me than ever before. I was able to notice things within myself that I felt like just never entered my peripherals mentally speaking.
I didn't believe that I had PTSD from the military. I blamed it all on my other more concrete mental disorder (bipolar).
But at the end of my microdosing, I had one of those big moments that people talk about so often. I chalked that stuff up to basically being an overactive imagination. The military life style grinded up any sense I had to even consider such a thing being possible.
I was very wrong I have to admit. I remember meeting my 19 year old self in only what I could describe as a meeting of the minds right outside my apartment underneath this set of trees. There I was, a young boy who just graduated high school. He was innocent in all the ways I was not. He was happier. He had a sense of wonder. He still held on that there was good in the world and sometimes it has to be you if you want that good to exist.
I realized I had left my own innocence behind when I joined the military. I left it in the past. That young man asked me why I left him behind and I told him it was because he wasn't strong enough.
Then they said "Well you didn't do much better without me". Sarcastic as ever apparently back then.
Idk, the conversation with myself in my own head with visuals accompanying it all in what felt like an eternity but also the blink of an eye.
PTSD locks up the mind in such a way that you are living in the past but also still here in the present. Microdosing felt like it gave me a sensation of feeling very safe and feeling cozy inside my own mind.
That is not the usual for me. Usually I don't want to be in my head but with microdosing? I have been able to enjoy things again that I thought I would never be able experience without unpleasant thoughts, images and memories.
The feeling of it can be described as being on a mini-vacation inside of your mind.
I have also read studies that describe it as.. "One said he felt like his brain had been 'defragged' like a computer hard drive, and another said he felt 'rebooted'. "Psilocybin may be giving these individuals the temporary 'kick start' they need to break out of their depressive states and these imaging results do tentatively support a 'reset' analogy."
I agree with this quote from Imperial College. I still do microdosing as 7 years of trauma can't be undone in a day but goddamn, it gave me a big jump in terms of my progress. I couldn't even conceptualize that I had PTSD even after I've had two therapists bring it up briefly, both of them I respected highly.
If you decide to try it out, perhaps find someone you know that has experience with it AND trust them. Only reason I say this is because if you're not used to this sort of thing, it 'can' be overwhelming but a proper microdose shouldn't do anything crazy.
I have never really 'hallucinated' while microdosing aside from the story but the whole time it occured I knew it was all just in my head, though no alarm.
I typically get chocolate milk (funny I know) whenever I know I'm going to be starting another round of it because I feel like the sweetness of it is comforting for me, so if I ever felt anxious, take a little sip from the chocolate milk and suddenly back into happier thoughts.
If you have anymore questions, I'll respond.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🍄 Psilocybin is a psychedelic that modifies consciousness and can lead to long-term changes in perception, memories, and thoughts.
00:55 🔬 Psilocybin mimics serotonin and activates a subset of serotonin receptors, leading to neuroplasticity at the level of neural circuits.
03:13 🎶 Properly conducted psilocybin therapy can lead to lasting improvements in mood, insights, and creativity.
06:30 ⚠️ Psilocybin is still a Schedule I drug in the United States, but there are exceptions in some states like Oregon and Oakland.
08:51 🛌 Eight Sleep makes smart mattress covers for better sleep.
10:18 🕶️ ROKA offers high-quality eyeglasses and sunglasses designed for optimal clarity and performance.
11:16 💡 HVMN Ketone-IQ is a ketone supplement that can improve cognition and physical performance.
12:12 🧠 Psilocybin closely resembles serotonin, but its selectivity for serotonin 2A receptors leads to specific neural changes.
19:23 ⚖️ Psilocybin's selective serotonin 2A receptor binding differentiates it from SSRIs, leading to different outcomes and side effects.
21:17 💊 Understanding how psilocybin interacts with serotonin 2A receptors is crucial for proper dosing and therapeutic effects.
21:47 🧠 Psilocybin selectively binds to serotonin 2A receptors in the brain, particularly in the neocortex, leading to visual hallucinations.
25:06 🚫 Psilocybin is contraindicated for individuals with a predisposition to psychotic episodes or bipolar/schizophrenic conditions. Not recommended for individuals under 25 years old.
30:50 ⚖️ Psilocybin dosing: Microdosing ranges from 1-3 milligrams per day, while "heroic doses" are around 50 milligrams. Dosing should be carefully regulated for safety and effectiveness.
39:18 🌈 "Set and Setting" are crucial for a successful psilocybin journey. Set refers to the mindset, while Setting refers to the physical environment and presence of responsible individuals for safety and therapeutic outcomes.
44:06 🎵 The presence of music is a major driver of the cognitive and emotional experience during a psilocybin journey.
45:32 🍄 Psilocybin journeys typically last 4 to 6 hours and are influenced by factors like dose and gut contents. Fasting before ingestion is advised for optimal effects.
48:27 🎶 Music played during clinical studies using psilocybin for therapeutic purposes has a specific contour.
51:49 🧠 Psilocybin increases brain connectivity, reducing modularity, and promoting integration of brain circuits, which may explain perceptual blending and synesthesia experiences.
01:03:19 🔄 Psilocybin leads to adaptive rewiring of the brain, an exciting therapeutic option.
01:05:14 🍄 Psilocybin has potential benefits beyond treating depression, impacting creativity and the experience of life in some individuals.
01:06:43 🎵 Psilocybin therapy during depression treatment can change one's emotional response to music, restoring positive emotions.
01:10:02 🧠 Psilocybin can rewire connections between emotion centers and auditory perception networks in the brain, changing how music is experienced emotionally.
01:14:53 🌌 Psilocybin may rewire our relationship with life, breaking free from habitual negative thought patterns associated with conditions like depression.
01:17:14 🌊 The feeling of ego dissolution during the psilocybin journey is correlated with positive therapeutic outcomes and relief from depression.
01:19:09 🧠 Specific subjective experiences during the psilocybin journey are associated with positive therapeutic outcomes in treating depression.
01:26:41 🧠 Psilocybin journeys can be challenging, experiencing ego dissolution is important for therapeutic success.
01:27:37 😨 Extreme anxiety during the session may hinder positive neuronal rewiring and mood elevation.
01:30:25 🌬️ Real-time respiration tools can help reduce anxiety during psychedelic sessions and guide users to a calmer state.
01:32:48 🧩 The quality of the psychedelic experience is vital for therapeutic success.
01:33:17 📚 The paper "Therapeutic Use of Psilocybin: Practical Considerations for Dosing and Administration" provides valuable information on dosage and contraindications.
01:41:27 🧪 Psilocybin induces neuroplasticity by primarily promoting the growth of dendrites and dendritic spines.
01:45:47 💊 Animal studies show dramatic structural changes in response to psilocybin at doses higher than the typical therapeutic human dose.
01:47:42 🍄 Psilocybin's effects on the brain involve multiple mechanisms, including intracellular signaling and changes in neuron excitability patterns.
01:48:37 🧪 Clinical trials exploring psilocybin's therapeutic potential have shown promise for treating major depression and intractable depression.
01:49:34 🌐 Researchers like Robin Carhart-Harris and Matthew Johnson have pioneered research efforts to explore the clinical potential of psychedelics like psilocybin.
01:51:30 💊 Several clinical trials have demonstrated that one or two sessions of psilocybin can lead to substantial and long-lasting relief from treatment-resistant depression.
01:58:42 💡 Psilocybin, combined with supportive psychotherapy, has shown antidepressant effects greater than psychotherapy alone and psychopharmacologic treatments like SSRIs.
02:03:59 ⚠️ Caution is advised with psilocybin, especially for individuals with psychosis, bipolar disorder, or those under 25 years old. Work with a trained physician and be aware of safety precautions.

Here are some ways to take action on the key points from the podcast to improve your life:
      * **Learn more about psilocybin and psychedelic therapy.** The more you know, the better equipped you will be to make informed decisions about whether or not psychedelic therapy is right for you. There are many resources available online and in libraries that can teach you about the history, science, and culture of psychedelics and psychedelic therapy.
      * **Consider psychedelic therapy for mental health treatment.** Psychedelic therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. If you are struggling with a mental health condition, psychedelic therapy may be a helpful option for you.
      * **Participate in well-designed clinical trials.** Clinical trials are the best way to ensure that psychedelic therapies are administered safely and ethically. If you are interested in psychedelic therapy, consider participating in a clinical trial.
      * **Create a supportive set and setting for psychedelic experiences.** If you do choose to use psychedelics, it is important to create a supportive set and setting for your experience. This means being in a safe and comfortable place with people who you trust and respect. It is also important to have a plan for how to handle any challenging experiences that may arise.
      * **Engage in integration work after psychedelic experiences.** Integration work is the process of processing and integrating the insights and experiences that you had during your psychedelic journey into your daily life. Integration work can involve therapy, journaling, and other contemplative practices.
It is important to note that psychedelics are powerful substances and should be used with caution. They should only be taken under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
      Here are some additional tips:
      * **Set realistic expectations.** Psychedelics are not magic bullets. They can be a powerful tool for personal growth and healing, but they are not a cure-all. It is important to set realistic expectations for what psychedelics can do for you.
      * **Be patient.** Change takes time. Don't expect to see results overnight. Be patient with yourself and the process.
      * **Talk to a therapist or counselor.** A therapist can help you to explore your thoughts and feelings about psychedelics, and to develop a plan for how to use them safely and responsibly.
      * **Join a psychedelic community.** There are many online and in-person psychedelic communities where you can connect with other people who are interested in psychedelics. These communities can be a great source of support and information.
Please remember that psychedelics are powerful substances and should be used with caution. They should only be taken under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

I did a therapeutic journey like the one you describe just a few months ago. All the boxes were checked -- laying down in a safe space, eye mask, facilitated journey with a very experienced Guide, curated music. I let the facilitator decide the dose and she gave me 4.5 gms.... I am grateful she believed I could handle such a dose, as I don't think I would have had the courage to take that much on my own. I experienced All THE THINGS -- My hearing became extremely sensitive, senses merging, I couldn't really speak or communicate during the peak hours, extreme fear/sense of anxiety that seemed to be induced by the music but lasted even after the music changed; intense grief - I cried a river of tears; complex geometric images that were indescribable; the sense of dissolving out of my body over and over again (almost like an elevator dropping).....
My point in giving this detail is that a good portion of my journey could be called a "bad" trip, though after the first few hours I felt sensation of incredible pleasure in my body, and even the fear/grief I was able to view from a witness place. It allowed me to see various ways in which I give my power away and create stories in my life that aren't serving me and that are really just fabricated by my mind. This truly was one of the most profound healing experiences I've ever had. Of course, I am still doing the work of integrating the insights. It takes courage to do this kind of work, but done properly, even when it's difficult, it can be healing and life-changing.

That’s a great question Stephanie. I think had I been alone I may still have gone through fear, but I would have been okay. A trigger towards the beginning of the session was the music. It was kind of a jungle type music and it scared me! This was how my “sitter”was taught to do it, and she told me later that was part of breaking down the ego🙄.
I have another mentor who lives in Canada and she advised me I *should* do my journeys alone, because of issues with sitters (boundary crossing) - I did trust and felt supported by the woman sitting for me.
Part of why it was so intense was because I was wearing an eye mask. You can modulate the intensity of your experience to some degree by opening your eyes. I have talked to people who are quite experienced with psilocybin and have taken doses many times higher than what I took and they were fine.

@Tru Win It took a lot of trial and error and I made a product on how exactly I did it that walks you through but very generally speaking:
      1. Be extremely careful and responsible, I consider psychedelics incredibly dangerous if this principle is taken for granted
      2. Intention, planning, preperation, goal setting, etc
      3. Spending the trip journaling, contemplating, meditating, etc
3b. Using a variety of doses, sets and settings relative to the goals and intention you have, for example, low doses tend to have very different types of theraputic qualities to high doses, same with tripping alone vs with other people and tons of other variables. Aligning all of these in an ideal way helped me a lot.
      4. Integration, using the increased neuroplasticity and momentum after trips to form an improved identity for yourself and solidifying that tangibly, and more
4b. Not just forgetting about your trips and getting sucked back into normal life but actively going back through your experiences so they remain emotionally significant to you and keep driving you forward in life indefinitely (especially the high dose powerful ones that felt like death/re-birth)
Also it probably helped a lot that I've spent thousands of hours researching this topic and have tripped hundreds of times by now so I can bring all of that with me into my trips and really optimize them

Mushrooms helped me with crippling PTSD and related mental issues (drug use, anxiety, etc). It’s not a cure, but a tool to improve and find a way out of unimaginable darkness. Without it, I don’t know if I’d still be here. Thanks for taking the time to educate the public on this! Hopefully for my children and grandchildren’s generation, this will be easily available and widely used to heal mental trauma.

I am in a clinical study evaluating the effectiveness of psylocibin in helping with treatment resistant depression - and three weeks after my first administration, I can say it has been incredibly helpful. I don't feel cured by any means, but I do feel dramatically better - things that used to send me down a dark pit of despair are far less impactful than they once were.

    • @joshuaelek
      @joshuaelek 11 місяців тому +3

After my experience with what I assume was synthetic psylocibin (could have been a placebo, I don't know for sure) I'll 100% pass on doing this without a highly trained professionals to guide me through it.
It would be physically impossible to have that experience safely on my own. I was quite literally out of my mind for hours. I thought the world didn't exist and I was escaping the plane of existence I have known my whole life. I tried exploring the physical world in ways that I would never have tried before - like when I attempted to squeeze my face through the chair my therapist was sitting in.
I would never try it without a guide who was as highly trained as the therapist who sat with me for those eight hours, and the nurse and doctor who checked my vitals periodically throughout.

I started microdosing psylocybin 15 years ago to combat debilitating cluster migraines. All my research had led me there and I would try anything for relief. German studies at the time had indicated that it was effective. It was- I’ve been 15 years since even seeing an aura and I’ve had maybe three normal headaches. The other added bonus I found out was that it helped me extremely much with emotional regulation, anxiety, nightmares etc and continues to help keep me on an even keel. I take it and go to bed- the dosage is so small I experience almost no visual stuff and I do it once or twice a month to maintain.

I can honestly say there have been times where I was suicidal and a complete hermit and one trip would, as I called it, 'reset' my depression and anxiety. Immediately I would begin to set goals and exercise daily. The suicidal thoughts went away.. I believe a lot of it had to do with serotonin and/or dopamine receptors getting kick started back into gear.. also, I wouldn't trade the trauma breakthroughs I've had on psilocybin for anything in the world. Often when I've tried psychedelics, my trips were really scary and revolved around death and a loss of being. It's helped me understand better my life's transience and showed me just how much my friends and family mean to me, how much my mother has suffered for me even through my selfishness. My ability to use language was very diminished, and it was hard to richly describe what I was feeling. I've dealt with obsessive thoughts and rigid thinking all throughout my life and I'd say that mushrooms, though potentially horrifying in the moment, have served to benefit me greatly. I cannot however, say I am unbiased and may be a little too grandiose when describing these things. Either way, they're very interesting nonetheless.

I noticed the greatest effects of psychedelics like Lsd when my eyes were closed. I was seeing visuals that looked like patterns until it eventually started clearing up and I saw what looked to be DNA repairing itself. I then remembered that I had a knee injury from a couple weeks back and It was healing faster than normally. I think because of the anti inflammatory properties of the drug and the fact that it kinda takes sensation away physically you can easily point out problems like injuries more pinpoint accurately. It was honestly huge to realize that visualization of my knee healing because of the fact that your thoughts can curate your reality to a degree and I knew that visualizing being healthy and healed would allow me to heal faster. It puts your ability to recognize your problems as not being so much as a real problem but a perception of what you believe these things to be. They can be good or bad and you always have the ability to choose how you feel especially the healthier you are physically. It's why diet and exercise is vital for optimal health as well as sleeping well.

I no longer have cold induced urticaria which was so restrictive to living a fulfilled life. My immune system is stronger and RA symptoms resolved/in remission. Fasting/cold exposure/excerise/wim hoff breathing techniques and Gabor Mate's work has all been part of my own Nof1 study to restoring my health and reversing chronic illnesses. I did my first sauna/cold plunge exposure at newly opened sauna locally yesterday by our beautiful lake. Psilocybin and LSD continue helping me on my way towards better health, mentally, emotionally and ultimately physically. I started using them at age 18, 12 years ago and have a trip dose about 2-4x per year on average and have started a regular microdose regimen earlier this year (just ingested a microdose right now as a matter of fact).
I started off overweight, depressed and with completely shot memory in many areas (especially short term memory and long term memory specifically for anything that happened pre-puberty), aswell as bad executive dysfunction.
Over the years, I started regular strength training, a regular yoga and meditation practice and much healthier eating habits and I massively increased my productivity while lowering my subjective stress and anxiety levels. Each one of those developments was aided massively by revelations I had during trips and the different outlook on life for the weeks and months after a good dose. Childhood memories have been flooding back into my conscious reach, noticeably in the weeks after big trips. My short term memory and executive function are steadily improving. I've gone a long way in letting go of and healing old trauma that effectively disabled me in many ways for years.
I'm tremendously thankful for finding these substances and for not paying attention to the negative propaganda and stigmatization around them. It's a terrible shame how they were suppressed for decades and it's lovely to see the public perception change now.

And it felt extremely lonely and that shot my anxiety through the roof. The idea that I had unraveled reality in a way that I could never return to what was and be part of the lives of all the people I love. That ultimately brought deep insight into the way I connect with the people who love me in my life. Some key notes for myself on Psilocybin usage for therapy:
    -Keep eyes closed or covered
-1g shroom has about 1% of that in Psilocybin, meaning ~10mg.
-Most clinical studies show that 25-30mg of Psilocybin, taken once or twice, leads to most pronounced therapeutic outcomes.
-Music is a powerful enhancer, and in studies has followed the 'intensity' of the trip's stage.

I know it is illegal but humans need help and antidepressants are not always a way to help.
Now I can just send this video.
Big human love to you, Dr. Huberman.

Prof. Huberman - are you aware of the quite significant anti-inflammatory potential of psylocybin? Particularly through the activation of 5-HT2A receptor? What are your thoughts on this? I am asking specifically from the perspective of autoimmune originated inflammation. Thanks in advance for any news on this subject :)

Fascinating! I’d love to find out more about psilocybin's promotion of neuroplasticity as it relates to hemorrhagic stroke patients

I suffer from paranoid personality disorder, adhd and ptsd. The effects of this have led me to addictions of all kinds but lately reduced to mainly alcohol and cannabis. I have had a love for psychedelics since I was 26 because I took my first ever acid trip and I took a large quantity 450ug. Of course I had a phycotic episode. But after fearing my best friend was trying to kill me and then accepting it as my best option and then putting myself in the situation eyes closed expecting to be unalived in that moment. I accepted death. And wasn't scared of it either. 6 hours later and alot of other mental situations I snapped back in a hospital bed bare foot with my mother in the room. Embarrassed to say the least. But the new outlook I had on life from that day forth changed everything. I cared for me. There was a beauty in the world again and I could do anything I wanted if I tried. So I actually think there could be a path for research in actually triggering these episodes along side the mindset changing or thought processing changes created by psychedelics could be a cure its self to psychotic episodes cause I haven't had one since

Also feel it's good to mention that since then I have built a company and then left it to travel. Unfortunately though I met a ln incredibly beautiful woman who broke my heart and my ptsd and issues were a cause of the downfall. I realized that in the beginning of the relationship I was regularly having a small journey on psychedelics. Small doses nice walks kind of journeys not spaced out. And this would help me regulate my emotions and reactionary process. But after 6 months of not doing so and actually drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis more I have noticed my issues get worse. So I plan to use psychedelics again in small doses to help curb my alcohol addiction and experiment with its uses with grief
