It's amazing, Josh is just incredible , the piece of music is just so technical, and Josh plays it with no effort whatsoever. Credit to the Professor for breaking it down, must of taken ages. Great guitar playing Professor.
Wow, thanks! I sincerely appreciate your comment and the time that you took to watch this video, which, unfortunately hasn’t gotten nearly as many eyes on it as I would’ve hoped. It’s nice to hear the kind words for all the work that it took to do!
So please you enjoyed the video! Do you see the funny part in there…? If you haven’t seen that you didn’t see the whole video! I hope you subscribe and don’t miss anything coming!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this! I think I need to come up with a new thumbnail because man I busted my ass on this one and it just didn't get many views!
Thank you. I really enjoyed that. It's one of the most pleasant, calming progressions I've ever heard, especially when in that "pentatonicville" ☺. There's a Steve Vai high five in there, endorsing the whole thing. 😉 Have an awesome day.
Wonderful! I am so pleased that you enjoyed this! I've never had a Steve Vai hi5 before but I'll take it! I hope you had a subscription button so you don't miss anything upcoming!
I’d really love to see Josh play a traditional Sonny stitt bebop Sax solo with his picking and fingering approach. He always plays this spacey stuff that doesn’t swing or have any accents. But the technique is amazing.
Thank you so much Ivan for taking the time to watch us! This is a really really tough one to do! I hope you subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss anything in the near future! There’s some great stuff coming out…

how do you have only 6k subs.. this could be easily 6mio.. lets do it guys.. great video btw as always. Is there a guide on the whole picking technique that Josh is using? I know it got mentioned in one of your videos
First of all thank you so much! Please share the video which apparently helps! My goal is to grow this channel into an amazing community! About his picking. First I would suggest check out my, “one minute axe hacks. “ that is imperative information! The next thing I would suggest is to check out the entirety of Josh’s interview that I did with him! Thirdly, something that I noticed that I forgot to mention in this video was that aside from during the circular strumming if you look carefully… He does move his pic in a circular motion occasionally. Just watch the trajectory of it. I think that that’s pretty much pick centric to his own style and I don’t know if you would necessarily want to copy that? However it is something that I noticed and it’s obviously something that plays a role in his facility. At any rate I’m pretty sure that you have subscribed and I want to let you know that I am very grateful for your support of this endeavor! Next topic… Allan Holdsworth!
@@streetwiseguitar5113 So far I've gotten a lot more than I bargained for. I think I've enjoyed this one more than the interview even, and I've watched that at least 4 times.
Honestly, it's Joe Pass good. But that also means that Joe Pass did that kind of stuff long time ago (except the circular sweeps, that seems more ornamental than integral to the music), and with real Jazz standards a lot more complex. Anyways I'm comparing apples and oranges, I like this lads playing.
There, Lars! Joe Pass was unreal! What are the things that I didn’t talk about is that circular movement is all throughout Josh is playing. Watch the extensive interview that I did with him, he details it to a great extent! It’s worth seeing! At any rate, thank you so much for taking the time to watch this and it’s great to have you as a part the little community I’m working so hard to build! The way he brings that composition back around to the motif lick is beautiful

He can play fast over a lot of modes but his feel is garbage. He bends strings like a string bean and has a hard time playing in the pocket.
Who are some of your favourite players?
I would absolutely love to see you play 10% as well as Josh
You’d have to be one hell of a guitarist…
