I'm a female and I just replaced my chevy cruz air and cabin filters with your guidance. You made everything so easy and you saved me big bucks!!!! Thank you.
Nicely done video. Pro-tip: it's easier to pull the engine, transmission, and the firewall to access this filter. Jeez, what a job for a "serviceable" item.
Jesus, before finding this bideo all other cars have such an easy access to the air filter. What the hell goes in their minds when they do nonsense like this.
Great job! Thank you, I will attempt this myself as Walmart auto service tech refused to do it even though they change air filters, said it was too much work.
That's pretty sad if Walmart wouldn't do it. Because it's literally only 5 screws and a push pin. It really only takes 5 minutes. After watching this video. !!! Really. Before watching the video I tore half my - apart and still couldn't find it.
I just did this following your video. Wow, spot on! It was easy to do while following your video. The filter was trashed (we have a ranch on a dirt road). It was so bad that the air flow was reduced prior to changing the filter; I could feel the difference in the airflow after changing the filter. Thank you for this video.
You go girl! I am going to attempt to do mind as well. Walmart tech would not do it. If you don't mind me asking, what size tools to I need? I am not mechanically inclined so just want to know what I need. Thanks in advance for you response.
@@IvetteJaimez-ns7hr unfortunately, I have not run into that code before. I’d Google it to see what it is for and then decide if it’s something to try and diy or take it in for.
Even after all these years, it still pisses me off that we have to go through all this just to change the cabin air filter! Just this reason alone, I will never purchase a Chevy again. Smh

I am too and going to get filter now
Good thing people aren't out here stealing cabin air filters. Wow! Great video man.
Thanks 👍

What the HELL was Chevy thinking designing this
Lol right!
Labor fees
Thank you so much for this video, crazy that we have to do all that to replace something so simple. You have helped so many of us!
Glad it was helpful!
This is the best video for this. Straight to the point only takes 10 mins.
Thanks!
Talk about nonsense from GM on this design

You're right. When I first read your comment I was saying it can't be that bad, but yes it was.
So true!
The more I learn about and work on vehicles the more I HATE american made vehicles
That's what im saying

Chevy has a thing for making things that have been simple for decades into unnecessarily complicated things
Thanks a lot General Motors to make our life more difficult. Congrats GM engineers. Thanks you guy for this video.
This just saved me like $90! I was scared but I did it! Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad it helped!
Good clarity and details. This video worked for me, thank you!

Is it absolutely necessary to remove the center console parts? Thanks for the vid
Geez! This is the most difficult air filter replacement ever!
Did this today! Thank you so much for helping us 😊
Awesome! No problem. Glad it could help.
@@kunertdiy my car has the engine light on n it tells me it’s the p1101 code what do you recommend

I remember when American built cars were easy to access and repair. Now I need a UA-cam tutorial.
what tools will I need? like, what size bolt is it so that I can ensure I have the proper attachment to remove it?
What size of attachment did you use to pull out screws for the glove compartment?, it seems I didn’t have that at the time I was trying to do this
Sorry, but what size socket did you use?
7mm
Pain in the ass!! Thanks for the video.😎
No problem!
Gracias Amigo very good work!! 👍
Thanks!
Good thing you had this video working and couldn’t figure this one out lol
Thx u i have replaced my filter ❤🎉
Awesome!
Wow yeah gotta take whole car apart. What happened to open glovebox and unhook cable and let glovebox swing to the floor.
That's why getting one of these installed at the dealership is $96. The filter cost $18.99 on amazon.. imagine that.
Yeah, I'm just gonna keep breathing stale air. Wtf. That's ridiculous to just change a simple filter.
@@jrau79 lol right
Agree....
What size are those bolts u took off
Wondering as well
What tools did you use??
Great video. Our 2013 cruze takes about 90 seconds to change. Our 2017 takes 20 minutes. Wtf GM?
thank you
You're welcome
I'm a DIYer I could not figure out how to get the dang glove box out. Thank you for the vid man big help.
Oh ffs 🥴🤦♀️ I love my car. I love my car..... I love my AHHHH

WTF Chevrolet 🤦

All that to change the air filter smh
lol right.
This is as bad as the late 90's early 2000's Honda's.
