Peter kreeft is a saintly witness to our Lord Jesus Christ. I found Christ by reading his books and by listening to the media like UA-cam. Thank you God to let Peter Kreeft in our life time here on earth. May God be Holy and glorified for ever on earth through Your Saints, including philosopher Peter Kreeft.
This is vibrant discourse on living the Truth! May we all be granted the courageous fortitude to truly live our lives as “witnesses” to Jesus Christ. 🙌🏻🎚🙌🏻
YAY! I'm so elated Dr. Kreeft's talk is available to watch from the Good News Conference! I was in attendance at his powerful talk. Dr. Kreeft was my favorite speaker at the conference. I could listen to him all day. 😊
Thank you, Dr. Kreeft and Word In Fire for holding fast to Catholic truth. Listened yesterday, and this morning the first reading is Acts 3:1-10. Seeing, saying, (and in the near future) suffering, Peter and John witness for Christ. Instant conviction 😊, thank you! Come Holy Spirit, that I shake off the lethargy of the times and get about the work.
I am convinced that Peter Kreeft, as St.John Paul II, and J.H.Newman, and Pope Benedict, is a mystic, a lover. Joy can easily arise from his heart. Philosophy, as rational knowledge, forms the basis of all other degrees of knowledge, up to the highest, which is mysticism. However, for the philosopher to understand the mystic, he must also be a theologian and a Christian theologian. But that is still not enough, because mysticism is knowledge superior to theology, as mysticism is a foretaste of the beatific vision, which is the effect of the gift of wisdom, one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, as taught by Saint Thomas and as the Church teaches. Theology remains below, because, although it provides mysticism with the basis of dogmatic knowledge, the judgment of the theologian is exclusively based on intellectual activity. Instead, in the judgment that arises from mystical experience, there is also the effect of the intervention of charity, a theological virtue moved by the Holy Spirit. In other words, in mysticism, it is not simply a matter of judging based on the intellect alone, but the intellect must be strengthened by love. This also happens on the human level: if we strive to understand a person with love, even if they are our enemy, we know this person better than if we were to use

Dr Peter Kreeft helps me to cry and laugh ❤when reading and listening his philosophy (too foreign to my mind at first). Praise God for his life & teaching🙏🏻
Dr Kreeft is wonderful. Pray for Enoch Burke, a Teacher in Ireland, jailed for not using pronouns for a Student. The Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) ran away, literally, from questions about Mr Burke recently.
How wonderful to hope that I may be a donkey that Jesus can ride on into the new Jerusalem, when He comes. Come Lord Jesus! Thank you Dr Kreeft. So many beautiful words, in this, your most recent witness to us.
I am convinced that Peter Kreeft is a mystic, even though some have denied this, citing some statement of his gathered from somewhere in his vast work. The proof of this is found in his words, his attitude or physical posture, his humor, and his charity inextricably linked to his devotion to truth. Only in God do we find united two such disparate qualities: personalism and metaphysics, the moral dimension and the ontological dimension, history and logic, the heart and the mind, being and action. Only the Most Holy Mary and her Son, the Lord Jesus, can inspire such a man, a man, a teacher, a father with a heart as large as the world and an intellect as sharp as a sword, hallelujah.
From the poet, John Keats: “Beauty is truth, truth beauty,-that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know”; and from a saint, St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross as summarized by St. John Paul II: “Do not accept anything as the truth if it lacks love. And do not accept anything as love which lacks truth! One without the other becomes a destructive lie.” And from the philosopher Peter Kreeft, “Teach the Truth by Living It.” The wisdom of common sense. Thank you for reminding us Peter Kreeft!
At time 20:25: "... know in your mind and believe in your heart ..." is muddled as "heart and mind" are "one" as were: "... the company of those who believed ..." (NIV Acts 4:32). Belief is in uncertainty keeping this inseparability and qualitative equality as kept by those who: "... were of one heart and mind" (NIV Acts 4:32). "knowing" is warned against at Genesis 3:5.
The Word from the beginning, who became flesh and by His Divine Sacrifice, brings those born of flesh in time (a measure of space and movement of matter) out from this temporal existence (within the material and spacial) and unto another existence rather than into. Unto because we are said to be in the world, yet not of the world. Then, what is one of if not the world? That which is other than the world? A body of water represents the world of matter and of space symbolically. When something from outside enters water, it displaces water. The water remains in its entirety being equivalent in volume. Yet, it (water) surrounds the thing that enters from outside. When one person enters the world originally from outside, the world surrounding, encompassing, is displaced. When one enters a holy or sacred place such as a church, one is outside the world. The walls of the Holy Church set one outside the world rather than or more than setting one inside the church. This is because the Holiness, remaining intact, has displaced the material and spatial world the way water is displaced by an object. What is one of if what one is of, is something other than the world? Isn't one of God's Spirit? If one is of God's Spirit and nothing can separate one from the love of God except sin, before forgiveness and afterwards, one is restored to the love of God by mercy together with forgiveness. Forgiveness restores one to the love of God one enjoyed before the sin. Forgiveness gives back to one what one had before. How much more set outside the world would one be when in the presence of The Holy Eucharist? How many are the meanings from a single verse? Take the stormy sea. Was Our Lord in the sea or outside the sea? When Peter was outside the sea, he was with Our Lord and had peace of mind. Our Lord's question, " Peter, why did you doubt?" became prophetic.
