I believe saints is just a nominal term in your theology. Like Messiah and so on…these are just nominal terms without proper explanation. You heard these terms in Christianity for example and applied them to your religion to try to legitimize your religion.
Lots of books explaining the saints. Wonderful reading and insight into how we can try to be saints. Have a most intimate relationship with God by being like Jesus…
