The beginning of the 1966 WPIX Yule Log had Eddie Dunsleder's "God Rest Ye Merry,Gentlemen" along with the Bumper at that time...I loved it then,and still Do! BTW,the log was a 47-Second clip,recorded at Gracie Mansion.
I know people who made fun of the Yule Log, like it was unsophisticated. I lived in an apartment in the Bronx in 1966 and thought it was great as it was a connection to the ideal Christmas that I didn't have otherwise living in an urban environment
Every year when I was a child, this was playing on the TV when I woke up and went downstairs. Wonderful memories here!
