I used to watch the episode Hand of God almost on a loop. It was the first time we heard Wander My Friends, and it was the first victory over the Cylons after half a season of running. Absolutely fraking miss this show
And that's really what made this such a great show. Not the fancy robots, FTL drive, etc. The deep human interactions that were forced because of the dire circumstances the crew found themselves in.
Exactly. Beautiful human stories were the heart of the show and what made it so compelling. I do feel they lost sight of that a little bit in the later seasons and they were worse off for it.
It always amazes how Bill Adama can stay calm like that. His only remaining son is flying a fighter (basically an interceptor) to fight unbeatable odds with no shield, no armor, no nothing. I would be so scared for him and would ask him to do command job instead of this.
Generally speaking it is the tune from "Wander my friends" by Bear Mcreary (who wrote the music for BSG) The tune gets pulled into several other pieces throughout the show.
This along with "If it were you, we'd never leave" is probably my favorite father and son moment on the show.
Man Tears...
So say we all ✌️
Don't make an old man cry on his own hanger deck...
"Commander Pegasus, Departing."

So say we all. My favorite scene, season, and song. "All along the watchtower" is 2nd.

Absolutely true!
That and Bear McCreary had a notable hand in it too.
Strong dialogue
"Dad, I'll bring it back...."
"You better or i'll kick your ass....Its a good lighter...."
The look on Apollo's face after his father says that. 😂
"Because your my son"
~I'm not crying its just an onion!
Husker Jr. :)
"Yeah I- I can barely make it out"
*shows "Joseph Adama" in a perfect dark stencil*
This Father Son story arc is so emotional. Real life, retold in the stars!
It's weird, there were so many great episodes, I think this is my favorite one of all.
This scene hit hard because it came right after their other memorable exchange:
"What if it was me down there?"
"If it was you, we'd never leave."
Like the proverbial Phoenix, Bill and Lee rebuilt their father-son relationship from the ashes.
SO SAY WE ALL.
Amazing character arch built on solid writing and excellent acting from both Olmos and Bamber.
When I saw 2 dislikes.. I'm sure there are 2 frakkin Cylons are living amongst us in 2020..
3 now
No other series made you feel the emotion, quite like BSG did!
Goddamit... I'm not crying, you're crying
One of my favourite scenes in the whole series, if not my favourite one.
Reminds me of my talks with my old man - miss him so much.
Sucha a memorable moment
It's a good lighter!
AMAZING scene!
Top 5 show of all time
Adama reminds me a lot of my pops.

Best Episode of the hole show
Whole.
still makes me cry.
Love these clips, keep 'em coming!
Anyone know what the name of the background tune is?
Never mind. Found it. ua-cam.com/video/qDI1-bGmfo4/v-deo.html

@@thepropagandastudiosbrigs0927 You don't know what a leitmotif is, do you?
@@The_Burrito actually I do. why the necro posting?
This makes me kinda sad, because I can’t watch BSG anymore on TV. 🙁🙁
Wasn't "Hot Dog" Olmos' actual son?
Yes, played by Bodie Olmos
Of course I'm worried... you're my son!
Luongo
2 dislikes?? Must be skin jobs or frakkin toasters!
