ahfolley I felt this and all of season 4 was really poorly written. I always disliked Roslin but then her and Adama became Insufferable and almost a dictatorship. As Baltar said to Chief about who would lead the fleet. Also Starbuck is a horrible human and caused Gaeta to lose his leg. I really felt for Gaeta during all this. How many times did he save the fleet co-ordinating jumps and saving the resistance.
The Admiral has it right, the fleet was the ones using the rebel Cylons for their own gain. Zarek and Gaeta had such a limited view of the whole situation
romo lampkin was always my favorite character. has a nice soothing voice (no homo) very intruiging person. sadly i never watched season 4. left off at end of season 3
First half of Season 4: Great. Last half of Season 4: Pointless. SyFy had set the BSG production up with the expectation that the 10th episode, “Revelations” was going to be the Series Finale. BSG created what I think is the best television finale ever. Then, SyFy came back and said, “Why don’t you do ten more episodes.” They did. But they had already ended the series perfectly. There was no where to go but down. Very sad.
@@RobynHarris actually i never finished bsg. Left off right around the end of season 3, early season 4. What was the 10th of episode you are referring to?
@@RobynHarris What? No way, Revelations had so many questions left. It was obvious they wanted more episodes. I think the second half of season 4 is great, outside of one of the episodes.
The Cylons destroyed humanity. Murdered billions of people. That's not easy to forgive or forget. Gaeta felt that they shouldn't ally with those who committed such atrocities.
Gaeta got fucked over on New Caprica by a number 8. He was almost killed by Starbuck and the circle. He got shot by a cylon and his leg removed. Then the alliance with the Cylons, earth being a complete failure, and Dee killing herself just pushed him too far. He snapped and viewed himself as the right man to fix the situation. He wanted to do it with minimum blood and due process but it spiraled out of control.
Gaeta was a tragic character. He was a good person who always tried to do what he thought was best for humanity and some of those times it put him at odds with Adama. I think Adama rigging the elections was the first step towards Gaeta losing his respect for Adama. Even in the end he could have turned Galactica's weapons on the base star or just jumped out but he knew that would harm the people more than help them so he surrendered knowing he would be killed. Ik not saying Adama was wrong either, they just had different views that put them at odds in the end.
This goes so deep that I won't even bother, can't even bother to explain, but it sums up a lot of what humanity is about. In the end, justice, humanity, right and wrong are truely and simply just a question of perspective!
@@YIIMM Hell, at least a third of the show was about individual perspectives. One person's injustice is another's rightfully earned retribution. The show portrays perspectives of the individual pretty well. You just have to watch it.
Honestly it’s scenes like these where Bill Adama’s upbringing in a Tauron Mob family really shows.
"I did bathe and wash them. Made their meals... I love the enemy." Haha I love Adama
Gaeta "RESPECT MY AUTHORITY!!"
Adama "lololol stupid kid"
“I’m a soft touch.”
- Cdr. William Adama, “Litmus”
You had to love how flippant Adama was. He knew Gaeta and Zarek were basically punks.

At 1.31, I love how Eddie Olmos delivers his lines with Adam's trademark grittyness.
"commander gaeta *scough*" is fucking hilarious.
I forgot that Crowley had a part here.
"See. Even when I lose... I win." It looks like Crowley has been there longer than we know. "Bye, boys!"
The Admiral has it right, the fleet was the ones using the rebel Cylons for their own gain. Zarek and Gaeta had such a limited view of the whole situation
Ah yes Lawyer Crowley.
This scene is supercharged with adrenaline.

Mark Sheppard is a good actor. Most of the BSG cast were really good actors and actresses.

starmaster191 You cooked his meals. You bathed and washed him. You loved the Romo.
"They need a pimp"
i love the enemy lmao
I’ll never understand why Gaeta betrayed Adama.
Because he was collaborating with the enemy in a time of war

Gaeta was always a snake playing whichever side was most convenient for him and never as smart as he thought he was.
eh, felt it was more that 7 years eventually broke a good man. Total loss of a sense of right and wrong.
