@@MCMOutdoors i did make a small add on mod to mine just to prevent any accidental switching on… i wasn’t too worried about the pump accidentally switching on in my pack as you would clearly hear it, but i wanted to prevent any chance of the light being switched on and running out the battery as i’m hiking to my location.. Maybe me being a bit over the top ? But Hopefully this will help out someone if they felt the same. The mod - was just a small cutout of thick hard plastic from a bottle or something similar - i used a small cutout about 1.5” x 2” from one of those really thin plastic chopping boards (from b&m). Cut a small locating piece out on 2 opposite sides for a thick rubber band to locate on… then put this around the pump which shields the button… sorry i’m being a bit wordy, but thought i would share. I might post up a quick short video to show, if anyone is interested…. Cheers all Mark
Great review Chris. Got a different model myself from the same company (yours actually looks better than mine). It’s a bit fiddly to attach to the mat but I do love it. Light is great for filming inside the tent too 👍
I have the Tiny pump X from the same company - basically the same thing but smaller, not so powerful and no "power bank" feature. This time of year I still get a little moisture in the mat when the air is damp, but nowhere near as much as when using my mouth.
Thanks for watching Roger - I always store my mats having up with the valve open so air can circulate a bit, but like the peace of mind and convenience this little pump offers.
I recently took the plunge and bought a Thermarest Neoair X-Lite, nearly £200 smackeroos.... AND it had a hole in it.......so had to send back......shocking...... anyway, I thought I'd get the Thermarest Neoair pump to go with it. It's only 64g..... BUT, it is battery operated, no light and took well over 3 1/2 mins to inflate the mat. Bugger that. I bought this pump instead, as you say Chris, if your gear is multi function, ultimately, you save weight. Keep on Truckin' with this great channel pal. ATB.
Not cheap are they - definitely worth looking after the investment with either a pump or the pump sack - but as this can be used as a light too, bit of a decent idea and bit of kit! ATB pal
I just recently bought this, but the USB port charger doesn't seem to work to charge my phone. I understand that it's not a stand-alone phone charger but it's the very reason also chose this one as it can be handy for an emergency charger.
That’s a cracking bit of kit. I have the Tiny Pump X version, which also has a light. Got to say though, your model has much better nozzle connection and it’s much faster at inflation than the Tiny Pump X. Nice one mate 👍
Nice review Chris i bought the tiny pump a few years back its absolutely superb. I wont be upgrading on the back of this because the tiny pump does all the pro does with exception of the power bank and possibly a little bit slower. Wish id had one for my alpkit mats mould ruined them.
Cracking mate, I do like that and will get one these next coming month's. I like the fact it as more than one use, I especially like the light feature. Thanks pal 👍
Chris, sorry to "jump" on this comment section but I don't have instagram or facebook so it's the only place I can connect to you fellas that produce this outdoor content I love. Do you ever sell your gear, stuff you've reviewed and not gonna use any more? If so, where do you tend to sell, which platform? Cheers.
Looks like a really nice bit of kit, indeed. I purchased a similar product from Exped right before Christmas, The Exped Widget. I am a bit of an Exped fanboy, with a tent, a few mats and a also few waterproof backpacks that I absolutely love. But I have to admit that this pump looks much nicer, and less bulky. The deflate function, if it actually works, would also be nice a nice addition that the Widget lacks. Although, I have not actually attempted to deflate anything. The price might be better too.
It's a decent bit of kit mate - my review criteria is a) will I actually use it and b) do I think my subs would - this ticks all the boxes really and saves me nearly passing out 😅 also prevents moisture going into an expensive sleeping bad. Thanks for watching pal
I messed my flextail 1st time i use. Now its not working. What happen was i turned it on without watching the surround. When i turn it on all the hair on the floor was suck into it. I manage to vacuum out of it but now it not working. I wonder if i can open inside and check if there is any hair inside.
Does anyone know how long the battery will keep the light on? Unfortunately, the company did not write this information in the product description.. In addition, £38 is too expensive for this product
@@MCMOutdoors I know. I was thinking of opening the product and removing the internal battery. and in place of the battery by a cable that connects to the power bank, and use the power bank as a power source
I saw these when they arrived on the scene the past couple of years and weighed them up, I ended up getting a different pump and regreted it, far too heavy and three times the size. It did have a larger battery capacity so that was to be expected but I do want to grab one of these for the shorter 1 nighters etc. The light feature is a brilliant edition and it looks more professional than the previous model so im sold. Good review, short and to the point. Cheers chris, have a good one.

Just bought one after this review. Very impressed with it. A great bit of kit👍
Enjoy - great bit of kit 👍
I have the exact same pump buddy and i’m really pleased with it. Would highly recommend.
Decent bit of kit isn't it pal

thank you for the review, have just ordered one, ready for my bikepacking trips next year,
Very nice appraisal. I'm going to buy one for my camp mattress. Thank you for posting. 👍
Great video. Just ordered this one. Wasnt sure if it came with the nozzles, so added it on.
Can't wait to try this.
Cheers - good choice.

Thanks Dave - saves blowing up by mouth which can be a faff and fills the mat with moisture, so all good! Hope you're good pal 👍
Thanks for keeping it short, very useful review!
No worries Rick

Been using a Flextail pump for a while now Chris. Great bit of kit.
Good stuff Andy, impressed with mine 👍

Shame about the mouldy mat mate! It's a great bit of kit - thanks for tuning in.
@@MCMOutdoors Its cool, it was a great excuse to buy the neoair xtherm 😍😍
Spot on review Chris. I’ve had one for a while now and have found it to be an excellent multi-purpose bit of kit. ATB.
Enjoyed testing this out and take it on each camp now mate 👍
Fabulous little pump.
Does the job Jane - nifty bit of kit!

Decent bit of kit mate, well worth it

No worries, I sometimes put the odd bit for sale in the MCM Outdoors Facebook group and / or ebay 👍
I'm going to have to get myself one of these gizmos, the new mat takes ages to blow up.
Decent bit of kit Dom, saves the nightmare of blowing up by mouth and keeps the inside of your mate hopefully a bit drier
Bought 1 following the review, cheers for all the insight!
No problem at all 👍
Nice one Chris, think I will upgrade to this one with the light,500 and 50 lumens just right so it will last all night
Cheers, great bit of kit mate

Great for getting your fire going too! 👍
Yeah - I've seen people use it for that too 👍

Best review of all on this little pump. Thank you.
Glad you found it useful!
Evening brother, nice little piece of kit. Very useful. Tc Andy 🔥👍🇬🇧
Useful bit of kit mate yes! 👍
Looks like a good product Chris. Will one charge be enough to inflate a mat and give light for a full camp?
Dunno mate, I just use it as the pump, but I can't imagine why not pal.
Hi … It does…we fell asleep and the next day … it was still on.
Great video Chris. Really impressed. 👍🏻
No worries Rob 👍
I might have to get 1 it takes me 20 bags full to inflate my large xtherm
Certainly quicker and the other features are useful!
@@MCMOutdoors yea definitely quicker it wasnt so bad with my s2s either light xt reg 4 bags full it was inflated but it's a faff with the extherm
Is it possible to remove the battery and use a power bank?
Nope. The unit is used as a power bank as it is, ie not removing anything. The internal battery is not removable.

Thanks for watching - nice little pump which does the job well 👍
👋
👍
It Looks like an asthma inhaler.
😁
What's better?
Max pump 2 pro or Max pump 2 plus ?
Because they have almost same specs 🤔
Never used the plus so can't say, sorry
