    Great NBS review. I'd struggle to buy the Max Pump 2 primarily because I can just fill up my long wide tensor pad in about a minute just using the air sack that comes with it. Being able to do that in 25 seconds with the 3 and reduce the need for a light, makes it worth the weight to me!

      Ots a really good middle ground between the max 2 and tiny x2 for sure. I'm going to use it going forward as my main go to. I never liked the zero they made, just didn't make sense but they've hit the nail on the head with this one.

    Great review of another great product from Flextail.
    I have the Max Pump 2 plus for our car camping trips (I agree with you, a bit to heavy for a backpacking trip) and the original Tiny Pump X when I want something more lightweight.
    Both excellent pieces of kit, and this looks like it's a nice addition to their range. Thanks for sharing.

      @IvanDP1967 it's a great pump that sits bang in the middle of those two and I definitely prefer it over my tiny x 2 for sure 👍

    The speed of inflation for me doesn't matter but if they could continue in trying to make them quieter would be great. Wild camping in itself is about being discreet and there is nothing worse than announcing your location with a loud electric pump. I have the flextail tiny pump but have reverted back to pump sacks as they are quieter and quicker than my tiny pump.

      I know what you mean. But for just 20 seconds it's worth it in my eyes.

    Looking good, considerably quicker , more comparable to the Max pump pro 2 or Max pump plus 2 which both have much bigger batteries at 3600mah / 4800mah respectively compared to 1950mah and have the very useful battery banks super handy
    Lots of choices now , Flextail just dominating 👊

    Nice design and tripod mount is a good addition. I really like my Max Pump 2 plus which has made a huge difference to pumping up the Exped Megamat duo and just as important if not more deflating it. Very handy as fire bellows as well.
    Max pump 3 doesn’t act as a power bank either.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  21 день тому +1

      No power bank. But I had the max pump 2 and found it too big and heavy for wild camping. This I think is a great mid way option and just so fast with a great light too.

    Couldn’t resist.. I have the original Tiny X but for some reason it doesn’t seem to get on with my Exped pad and struggles, showing me a low battery light straight away. Disconnected, it’s fine. Hopefully this one will work better, and the light looks a lot better as well. I’m not keen on the original’s very harsh white.

      I reckon this one knocks the x2 out completely other than on weight and size and even then it's only slightly larger and heavier. I had the max pump 2 as well and this is way better. 👍

    Very professional review Mike. I like the pump, especially the volume as I do a lot of packraft blowing. The design is cool too, looks like a EPIRB. A cover over tge usb port would be desirable though.
