Your videos are absolutely addictive. Returning to wheelthrowing after many years, I find that your tutorials are an indispensable resource. How I ever learned this stuff from photos and diagrams is beyond me. Learning from SL is the only way to go.
Hi Simon I am blown away because you have given me so many good tips in this video. I have been coning my clay up and down probably til it's worn out - no wonder it gives me stress! Also, the way you lay out the stages is really helpful. Brilliant as always...
great to see you back at the wheel. love the Shimpo Whisper, it is so much quieter than my old Shimpo. raining here for the past 2 days. ready for some clear weather so pots will dry. thanks again for the videos.
Simon- Thank you for the "V" tip for the inside of the bowl...it's visually more appealing and looks like a better work flow....I'll try it in the morning! MM ps I'm making stands for the pots I made today, ala Simon.
Hello Simon, I love your videos and have learned so much, thank you. Do you think you could mention the type of clay you are using and the reason for using it?
Hi simon great to see you back .Having recently posted an video with vocals i now can apreciate how difficult it is to throw and talk at the same time and how easy you make it look... Cudos to you. I`ve attached the video to prove this. It has a couple of tips i find useful.
To give an added dimension to the steps, it would be helpful if you would cut the sample in haff with the cut off string to see the wall shape and thickness of each step.
Hi Simon, So you love us so much you decided to stay, Great. How long are you staying ??? Great to see you back . Best wishes from Debbie in Florida P.S. Did you go home to get your winter coat. . . LOL !!!!!!
O.K. Simon I am posting this 2017, I have watched your videos for years. You must forgive me if this offends you. I must make this comment. I am thinking that the camera angel for your demonstrations would be more instructive if it was from above or over your shoulder. The left and right are confusing. It would be more valuable see it from your point of view . Again I am sorry but I think that view would be more helpful for the newbes.
Thank you for carrying on Leach pottery tradition. I will share your videos with my students. Greetings from up North!

At 4:34 that looks a lot like a specific part of the human anatomy. Just saying lol. Otherwise, great instructional video
