Thank you for your videos, your very gentle and contemplative delivery is really lovely. It makes the detail and the expertise of the techniques you are imparting so much easier to absorb and engage with. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and craft.
I am glad to be able to help you. Making identical pieces is a good technical challenge and people like matching sets. I personally have a cupboard full of mismatched, multicolored bowls which are a pleasure to choose from. Thanks and take care
Enjoy making one of a kind pieces. Making sets are a good challenge and will help you to develop your skill. I do not have two alike in my cupboard of dishes that I use daily, some small, some large, some simple, some complex. Make a lot and use them with a discerning eye and how they feel for your personal taste and let your pieces evolve.
Richard your reassuring voice is with me every time Im on the wheel. So great to see your videos. Thanks for everything you taught me.

Thank you for finding my videos and your kind comments.
Thanks Richard. I use a paint brush as a throwing gage in my workshops, that way beginners don’t damage their rims if it gets close.
Good solution!
Thanks, that's a really inventive and beautiful technique!
Thank you for the video! This one was so incredibly helpful as I've been struggling to make a set of stackable bowls that all match.

Hi Richard. Great pointers. Hope you might do a video on throwing plates. Including getting plates off the bat. Thank you for sharing.

What about opening it up the same size? I find that if the dimensions at the bottom when opening it up is different, the shape is different.
