- Huge thanks to Wise for giving the watch to the channel:

Wise is back with something a little special for their 15th anniversary. It's sort of Grand Seiko meets Rolex. Where it has an intricately textured dial paired with a 904L steel case. This 38mm dress watch is a looker!

Absolutely beautiful. You can tell that this one's tough to film...but I can also get the sense of how amazing it must look in person! That dial is awesome!
That is one seriously pimp dress watch . absolute stunner , puts many a cocktail time in the shade .. literally .
Wise is a wonderful brand. I ❤ the two I have, this 24k gold being my second one. Micro brands try a lot harder to make something unique and special. Wise nails it every time.
I love your work. great review.
That's a really gorgeous dress watch. Dial and all. The two included leather straps is a brilliant idea as both the brown and the black give different vibes. I don't do much gold either but this works. Certainly not as a formal dress watch like for traditional black tie events but definitely as a modern day dressy watch with a suit. The all polished wouldn't even matter that much for an occasional wear piece. Thanks for sharing Shane.
Stunning design and dial! Some great details that really elevate the whole piece - well done Wise!
OMG! WHAT A BEAUTY!!
Absolutely gorgeous. Love that.
Great review as always. You’re right, it’s blingy but not over the top. I think their Hitman Dive Watches are some of the best out there. Thanks!
Evocative of a Thai Screen used as decorative dividers that
allow the circulation of air in such warm climes .
It’s a real stunner . 💛
It is just truly stunning.
Wow! Love it!
Interesting and informative review. Beautiful watch incomparable to anything in its lane. Well done.
Once again wise never fails to deliver
That’s a great looking watch I really like that aftermarket strap you put it on. It really fits that watch.
Beauty of a watch! I like Wise ... great watches. I've a preorder in for the coming true GMT. Can't wait!
This watch is amazing! 😮
That dial is stunning
That is really nice. They even made the Miyota gold. I really hope they do a rose gold dial version sometime.
I'm brand new to this channel and am already loving your content and approach to watch reviews - than you. Regarding the dress/sports designation, I think, especially in that wool strap, it encompasses both. This pairing looks to me perfectly at home in the wrist of someone on holiday in the British countryside enjoying a brandy by the fire after a day of hunting. Not sure if it's my particular cup of tea, but a tremendous offering from Wise. Thanks again for your insight.
Thanks and welcome to the channel!
The perfect non tool watch, love it!
Wise definitely seems like a group of passionate artisans more than just a watch company.
The pattern on the dial reminds me of the cubes from "Super 8".
Just ordered this one. My watch collection was missing a dress watch and this with included black and brown straps will do nicely.
I did the same thing.
Im entirely with you on the gold thing.. no gold watches or hybrids for me 'but' ... that dial is so good ! I live in Thailand and its not like you see a lot of western style, or internationally attractive design around (other than western style resorts etc), but Wise are knocking it outa the park for me. The Ad790 Damascus case really floats my boat and that AD15 is stunning. Original, wearable and Classy! Great review again. 👌🙏👍
Great review. I'm with you on the subject of gold in/on watches - my Seiko SARB 017 Alpinist is about as close as I get to bit's of gold that I think work. And while this particular Wise is just a bit on the high side of bling for me, I still think they pulled it off nicely, and quite the buy for well under $1k.
Wise still the best value for your money in my opinion
Hello and thanks for this video. It took some weeke, but I was so happy when it finally arrived. The video images, even very beautiful, do not pay tribute to the depth of the dial. As soon as you turn your wrist a little, the patterns seem to change. And if you turn a little more, they seem to change again. You could see 6 different dials on one. It's surrely not my gada watch, but it is in my rotation, and not just when I have to be dressed for a "soirée".
I have number 072 on my wrist, love it!
I can't take it off
I just received mine 😊😊😊😊😊
I think that you would have to see it in the real world to appreciate it.
I think of this as a sports watch in that you might wear it to watch polo. Wise is making some amazing watches.
that dial will age well, and it looks fantastic on the tweed
Agree with you about gold watches. I think they look awesome on others but when I try one it looks silly. I guess I’m just not posh. That is a stunning watch.
Incredible brand. This one looks magnificent, I was trying very hard not to buy another watch after seeing it.
Wise is just crazy good.
I've got the Hitman and the AD-7 Damascus cased watch and they're both VERY good.
I think my feelings on this one would echo your own. But, I just don't need a dress watch, or even a dressyish watch. I have a few I never wear already.
Lovely watch though!
good video
wish it had a gold case too...
I could definitely do with way less polishing but their designs are really nice overall
Wow that dial is pretty special, I think it is a little bright for me, but the watch looks great. I wasn't sure about 24K Gold Filled Dial being written at the bottom though. I recently bought a 38mm Miyota 9039 powered dress style watch, the Baltany 1921 homage with centre seconds, rather more subtle, but very nicely made with a beautiful dial, I would be interested to hear your thoughts if you reviewed it 👍
I feel that just like you need winter to appreciate summer, you need a little brushing to appreciate the polished aspects of the case.
That's a beautiful way of putting it. I fully agree.
Best microbrand 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I like gold ascent watch, it is just more eye-catching. Full gold is a bit overkill, two tone strikes a good balance, gold dial is comfortable too. Rolex OP White Grape was replaced by the various bright dial colours abt 2 years ago and is a pity, it has nice gold ascent dial.
Omg it's so beautiful and I could actually afford it if I didn't buy 3 other watches this year.
Gorgeous!!! Where did you get the strap from??
I like the strap you put on it
To understand the gold dial you have to understand the country of its origin, Thailand. In Thailand 24k gold is considered an omen of good luck to come, it is everywhere from Thai wahts to statues and almost every Thai man and women wears 24k gold. When children turn 1 years old the closest family member aunts grandparents will give the child necklaces or bracelets of 24k gold as to bring them good luck in the future. So a Thai watch with a 24k gold dial would be a omen of good luck.
It's definitely a marmite dial, love it or hate it. This one is not to my taste but as a brand I'm very impressed and I'm sure I'll be a customer at some point 👍
Just ordered this watch and the bronze watch with blue dial. I was surprised to find their bronze watch SOLD OUT while i was still surfing their website!!! So i talked to customer service and didnt get any reply but found 2 pieces magically appear on their website.
Fckn pressed that BUY button so HARD am sure he felt it in Thai-land 😅
LOL hope you enjoy them. Wise makes fantastic watches.
Very nice… 👍😊💥
Not in the market for a dress watch, but that one makes a statement.
May I ask where you bought the wristband?
wow, i'd put that on my short list, but the size is too small for my taste on my 8 inch wrist. Fantastic review though.
So, if i comment first i take the gold.... watch? 😉
Thanks Shane, be well mate.
Thanks for the review Shane. Wise watches look amazing. Of the four Wise watches you mentioned and have experienced in the video, which would you say would be best for a 6.75 inch wrist?
In terms of size and fit, I'd say this one. But if you want something more casual check out the AD7 series. It's sort of like their Aqua Terra, but in 39mm. The one I reviewed was in Damascus Steel, but they have 904L as well.

Thank you for the ino Shane - Much appreciated. Noel@@RelativeTime
The watch is stunning..does the yellow woven strap come with it .If not where can I find it?
No that was an aftermarket one from Vario, but it works great with it.
I tried to find any information about WISE watches factory in Thailand, but I couldn't, Do you think they produce it in China?
Where did you get the aftermarket strap on the thumbnail?
It's from Vario.
What was that strap you had with it. The one that looked like cloth? 5:35 in. Thank you
It's a Harris Tweed (wool) from Vario.
I'd prefer the gold to be a paler shade, just too yellow for me.
Very enjoyable and quite thought provoking, this review. As it stands, I was taken by this project and backed it early on. I have still not received it due to costly complexities in importation, which means I might only see it months from now. Funnily, since reviews have come out I have felt more ambivalent about it. I am actually not usually after a 'loud' watch and while I appreciate the material choices, was interested in this due to the intricacies and details of the design. Gearing it described as loud has made me doubt my choice. Your description, however, makes me reconsider once again, as actually that really suits me and my likes. And having a truly visibly celebratory watch also is no bad thing. By the way, I really enjoyed seeing it on the woollen strap. What strap is that? Are there more colourways?
Are you Dutch by any chance? What do you mean regarding complexities in importation? Like customs wise?
@@gideonMorrison yes, Dutch, but resident of Mexico, so complexities are there
@@benjaminvis wow. Months though! Crazy
@@gideonMorrison sorry, I wasn't being very explicit. Although last time I tried here something was stuck at the border because of communication and processing failures on the part of DHL with a huge bill as a result for over a month. I'm still waiting for some recompense, though should probably not hope too much. That means, I'm likely to put off trying to import anything here again, as it becomes a battle and unaffordable. So I may have it sent to family and whenever the next journey is possible, that's where I might see it then. Hence months...
50m wr is a no go for me.
I love your strape, where i can buy it. Thank you
Which one? The wool one? That's from vario.
@@RelativeTime yes wool strape , thx
I like the watch just dont want the customs nightmare that can come with exotic straps
Could you measure the dial size/diameter? Is it like 30/32mm
Well measuring the edge of the crystal. It's Just under 32 across. So the dial will be just a little bit smaller than that. I'm guessing 30 /31. Hard to say for sure unless I pop it open
@@RelativeTime Thanks for the info! That helps :)
Where can I get that strap you put it on please?
Which one? The wool one? That's from Vario.
Who name the brand? I mean WISE come on man... the watch is amazing btw
They are based out of Thailand, so maybe there's another meaning to it. However, it does roll off the tongue when you say it.
most beutiful dial ever seen but i dont like the case color. with that case color we can make darker dial
I have a Wise and it continues to impress me. But - just IMHO - that one looks like something that fell out of a Christmas cracker. Lots to like in lines and dimensions but the polished stainless steel and bling are too much for me.
If I had to nitpick one detail, I could do without the reference to 24k gold filling on the dial. I understand that it is a blingy sort of watch, but that just seems like a step too far. If you have to show people that your dial is real gold, and not gold tone, you’re trying too hard.
You would need bionic eagle eye to spot that ,lol.
I mean... isn't that just a good business practice? to mark your gold? In some countries, you aren't even allowed to sell any gold unless it's marked.
This is a beautiful watch but that Wise wording really ruins it...could've used their logo instead.
That would of been nice. Do you think they should of left it as gold, or change it to silver so it stands out more?
Nice, but too dear in my view.
The dial looks contrived, more fit as a watch for women, difficult to read in daylight, and the bottom line for me is that I want one (with a black leather strap). And I a not a woman.
"Curved nature of its undercarriage"...lol
Sorry, I dont see rolex in this.
Not so much the design as the use of 904L steel.
*Uniquely gorgeous watch. However, its "Limited Edition" of **_999(!)_** smacks of a rather cynical cash-grab for **_any_** brand ... much less a micro.* 🥺
a Thai watch.. lol
I was skeptical at first, but they know what they are doing.
its great i want one.. the gold dial is super thai style design
