- Wise is a micro-brand watch brand from Thailand.
It was established 15 years ago and they have just released a 15 year anniversary model to commemorate the occasion
It's got bling, its loud. its conformable, but not without a few niggles...

Thanks for watching.. - Навчання та стиль
This watch is beautiful and stunning, I can imagine it peaking subtly out of your cuff during work and finally rising like the sun as the evening progresses and revelry begins with a rolled up sleeve.
I agree about Grand Seiko looks - without homaging. Wise has also build a good reputation in the watch community. Whether it is to our taste or not I applaud them for doing this.
Well said...👍
That dial reminds me of parquet flooring, and I love it.
Now that you mention it...yep I see that
It's a very Thai aesthetic for a dress watch. When I say dress watch, I don't mean something you just wear to the office, I mean as something you wear to a wedding ceremony and other joyous occasions.
Think you’re right, it’s a watch for occasions.
I have ordered a WISE watch and am waiting for delivery. I love their watches !
Thank you for sharing Pete. I own a couple of Wise watches, and the quality is absolutely outstanding.
As for this watch ... I LOVE IT 😍 I feel in love with it as soon as I saw it. I know it is loud, but somehow it has me mesmerized 😂
Build quality is superb as we both know and it is unashamedly loud
@@PeterKotsa👍👌😂
Killer Wise Anniversary issue ✨✨😎✨✨
Yes it’s very Thai … 🙏
And the Straps are drop dead gorgeous too …☺️
That watch is almost worth starting my own UA-cam channel in the hopes that I get sent one of those types of watches to review
Thanks for featuring this buddy! I agree, it's definitely a polarizing style, albeit well done. Wise continues to crush it with finishing and value. Cheers
It's actually a really great wear..loud but nice..
Cheers brother, enjoy the holidays 👍
I love this piece! Very cool.
This watch is on my radar since preorder. I was worried about how dressy and flashy it is. Love the design, love the dial, feels like I'm being mesmerized by it. Thanks for confirming my concerns. Now I can just rewatch this video over and over again until I get sick of this watch😂.
😂
😂 Good one 😂 I actually have watched this video about 3 times now, trying to UNLIKE the watch... I'm getting the opposite result with Peter's great videography and macros
@@goo4tube yea and here I'm watching this video again. I've stopped counting. There is only a couple left on their website. I'm resisting and I could use some help.
No nonsense presentation Pete. So nice to see a watch reviewer, reviewing the watch and not playing to the sycophants. Wise are making watches to be seriously considered. This watch a little too blingy for my taste, but beautifully made. Keep it up mate.
Thank you for this great and detailed review.
Absolutely gorgeous. This might be the first Wise I acquire. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
welcome 👍
I think it looks beautiful and it's absolutely perfect for your wrist.
Wears well, thats for sure 👍
The sharpness and lighting of the photography/videoing is fantastic. Nice watch too
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing Peter! You know I like WISE :-) … and I was kind of expecting the price point to be much closer to $1K (limited edition, true 24k gold, two “off the charts” straps on top of a rock solid and reliable movement).
But @ $750? I feel this one, regardless of the “bling” factor, will fly off the shelves.
Once again, great review brother! 😄👍🏻
Only $750???? WOW!!!! GOLD dial is stunning
are you even sure thats real gold.....
I just preordered the WISE adx GMT. Can’t wait to try the brand out!
Pete, it's perfect. Lovin' it! Sure, it has that bling, but in the best way :)
Beautiful watch
Love it! Great review Peter - thanks !!
Glad you enjoyed it bro, cheers
This brand continues to impress me and although I'm personally not a fan of this particular dial I can see me being an owner of a wise watch in the future.
Wise is making fantastic watches 😇💕.. thanks for a very nice review 👍🏻
My pleasure
I have to admit I generally give gold watches a wide berth but this one is simply stunning in your video. I have a lot of watches with strong / vibrant dials so this doesn't seem that bling to me. I think the only issue is legibility for me as I've sold a few watches lately where I found reading the time more difficult. Sadly eyes aren't what they used to be.
Stunning watch, but I just ordered my Wise AD810A with steel band. Thanks Peter, all your fault mate😂. You sold me on Wise.... Very excited...
👍
Thanks Richard
Gorgeous watch! I agree it has major Thai vibes but I love that. Seems like a decent price for all that too! Even your gripes were minimal!
Very cool watch. I would totally wear that. Great review.
Thanks for watching Gary
Cheers
You are my go-to channel for discovering micro brands. Keep it up! By the way are there any watch discord/communities you recommend?
From what I can see here…I like it, despite the bling. Which I don’t usually go for.
👍
My dream watch!
This thing is incredible
Came out 3 months ago and it's already 40% off?
Not sure about the dial design, but that plated Miyota 9015 is stunning!
Thats a stunner. I love it. Would prefer on a smoother black leather strap though
I have one of these on the way! I loved it as soon as I saw it. I do not buy blingy or ostentatious watches but, for some reason, this was an instant buy for me.
I'm proud of the variety I have in my collection and this watch will certainly add to that variety.
Congratulations 👏
Just curious, did Wise already dispatch your order and already sent you a shipping notification or tracking number? Thanks in advance
@@goo4tube I asked for my order to be dispatched at a later date.
I believe they are shipping late December /early January.
Love it! Want one
A two tone bracelet would be a nice option, with curved spring bars that may be a difficult find or not possible.
Very Thai indeed. Love it honestly, perfect watch for their anniversary
Great review as always. I'm left wondering: all the gold has a powdered finish. Presumably, as seen in the footage, this does still permit quite a bit of contrast with the fully polished hands and faceted markers. Is it just the glare from direct light sources on the metallic surfaces that is impeding legibility so much in your experience? I remember seeing that the initial renders of this watch included brushed upper facets on the markers, but they dropped this in development. While I certainly think to prefer the bulging curve of the side case to brushing, I can imagine that at least an accent of brushing could possibly have enhanced tge case, but in reality there is also little opportunity that I see in this case shape and for an outright dress watch (with added lume) it actually does seem right to emphasise the polishing. Is it mainly the fully polished case that reads as LOUD or also the powedered gold? The particular combination and composition of shapes and materials is incredibly likable. And, while I've never been in Thailand, for me too it ooses Thai-ness, knowing it is from there. I see hints of both GS (case, dial finish) and Kurono Tokyo (dial layout), although the hands look perhaps slightly lacking in heft (seemingly very thin). I am also wondering, how does the quality of finishing on the polish compare to say the highly impressive Pitzmann? Equally uniform relfections?
Simply gorgeous .amazing.
Would love to own this one.
Customs etc are a huge problem though.(Europe)
Cheers.
Thats a shame, a few viewers have mentioned the same thing.
Love the case design and shape, would like to see some brush finishing on the case but being a dress watch I suppose it suits the style. Another great review brother
Thanks Tony 🙏
Great review on a great watch. New sub.
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to my humble channel 🙏
Wise is such an interesting brand and their cases look and feel stunning. I’ve been looking at that one not long after I got my bronze AD8 and, like you, I’ve been unsure. Love the size and case style and I’ve been looking at gold pieces but the full gold emphasis just on the dial might be a little too unbalanced for my taste. Thanks for the review.
WOW❤🎉 what a Celebration Peter!
At every level Wise have engineered every component to be the best, and then celebrate their 15 years with a beautiful gold dial.
No different to wearing a gold Rolex.
Send the bling my way Mate!
😊
waiting for mine in the mail 😊😊😊😊😊
I also own a champagme gold dial two tone Tudor BB…. and a solid 18k Gold Santos Dumont
plus a gold pvd homage of a datejust….. Burnei
great video, I was worried bout the strap but you calmed my nerves… I was prepared to get a Hirsch strap for it. I like the taper from 20 to 18.
I do disagree with you on the polishing and love the polishing.
If you want to br a wiseguy buy this Wise👍👍👍👍
Enjoy 👍👍
It can't be confused with any other brand👍
Thats for sure..👍
Mr. T been lookin for this!🤩😵💫🤣
Yes...😂👍👍
Fortunately it doesn’t have a super hard to turn bezel. It is quite blingy but very nice.
Beautiful watch Peter!! - are you going to do a give away :D - jk . Your videos are spectacular and makes this watch pop. What is your favorite of all the watches you reviewed and owned (combined) ?
Favourite would still have to be the Seiko SLA043J...love that watch and still do 👍🔥
If they released versions of this watch with more neutral dial colors it would be a total hit.
I dig it
While it does not seem to be a secret how much you appreciate Wise watches, this review is genuinely fair and honest, as usual.
That party trick where the night legibility is better than the daytime legibility is kind of a fun quirk.
Now, I wonder if those drawn in by the relatively reasonable entry price will understand just how much of a new wardrobe they are committing to, this watch seems to demás, “Wear me with Italian leather shoes and suits that can keep up with me!” 😅
Loud is probably and understatement, that dial looks like it projects across an auditorium!
New wardrobe?...well a change is as good as a holiday 😊😂
@@PeterKotsa maybe I just watched too many Roger Moore era Bond movies as a kid 🤔 or maybe I’m just trying to find reasons not to like this watch too much 🙃
@@michaelniemer4449 hahaha
I have been looking at this watch on the Wise website for the last six months, ever since they teased the pre-production prototype. It's great that wise are now finally doing applied logo, not just printed, but... Doing this as the same gold tone as the dial makes no sense to me as it disappears against its backdrop. It would have been better in silver like the handset.
Nice 👍
You gotta try this on the wrist, wears like a dream..👍
One day see a companion video one day that ranks watch movements by quality.
I only wish you used that black strap in your footage cause it fits the watch better.
Beautiful piece.
Brushed case with polished chamfered edges would've been golden :)
Interesting you say that bro, I thought about the black as well, but my eyes saw the brown as a better fit.
Thats it..Im going back to the watch to switch i out now..😊😂
@@PeterKotsa Black and gold... not even a question. Classic.
Beautiful gold artwork is quinessentially Thai.
well said..
Finally Wise uses Miyota
They have been using Miyota for a while now...👍
Hello and thanks for this vid Peter. I just bought one of the last ones.
Enjoy it
@@PeterKotsaI'll have to wait a week before I can start to enjoy it. I'll keep you informed of the feeling on my wrist. ;)
There are hundreds left lol
I was just about to say that I just ordered mine and it looks like there is around 200+ numbers available.
I do. The dial and the straps are so amazing, and the whole watch is so light to wear. Surrely my best microbrand watch's acquisition. And, if I may, your video do not pat hommage to the amazing dial and how the decorations on it change shape and brightness depending on the inclination of the dial. @@PeterKotsa
Nice review, Pete. I can't tell if I like it or hate it, lol. I could really do without the "24k gold filled dial" on the bottom of the watch face, though. A little gold goes a long way, in my opinion, and this is almost too much with the 904l polished stainless case.
Maybe a tad brushed satin finished surfaces would have been nice to break things up a little
hi peter just bought this for my dad as a legacy piece and an ad840bc for me as it looked so good. after your ad810wb was really satisfied!
Brilliant, enjoy both Alfred, cheers
@@PeterKotsa hope in the future delugs will add the wise to their watch strap visualizer
Those WISE boxes are really nice but they are huge and take up a lot of room storing them.
This one is nice and compact..thats why I wanted to show it..very cool 👍
The dial looks like a silicon wafer.
That’s…actually a good dial idea
I pre-order my when it was still a 3D computer design, got for a 1/3 of the price. Beautiful 😊
Dang how much was it in us dollar?
@@gideonMorrison i got it at the time 17,999Bath. I think just under $500USD
Is the rotor as LOUD as some say? Accurate time keeping?
thats because the omega watch boxes are made in china also 😊
Peter, you know I love your contents. May I suggest enough with this brand? Sorry.
I hear you...
That said, I do have one more that I have in the hand which I want to review..😊
I'm torn betwixt this one and the bronze AD8.
Different beasts, but both unique and excellent watches...best of luck 👍
Looks more like a Datejust than any Grand Seiko Mate!
I like it. And I’m not a blingster at all.
Peter, are you on the list for Direnzo’s Wandering Star release?
Thats a silly question brother...there's already two of them in the mail as we speak..😊😂
How would you rate the finishing on the movement?
It's a Miyota, looks very clean but in gold finish
This thing needs not apologize for Lack of brushing. They say there is no beauty that hath not some strange proportion. They never saw this. no brushing with that gold dial
Not for me - what would have made this watch a killer - in my opinion - is if the dial instead of the pattern had had a vertical brush. Less is more, but that degree of less I think would have been gorgeous.
Its definitely busy thats for sure..
Are you going to be reviewing their new GMT thats currently on pre-order
I’m pretty sure they were going to send me one to have a look at
@PeterKotsa hopefully 🙏, currently only found Thai reviews so far, looks great value and dimensions and geometry look good. And looks good on the videos, i took a punt on one during the Black Friday pre order sales. But still would be fab to see a western review.
I saw this gold Anniversary one while i was in Thailand and its a stunner but i dont think id ever have an occasion to wear it and being a smudge and scrach magnet would drive me mad
you love Wise watch
Yeah, I think massive value..price, quality, wearability etc
Im not always happy with some of their designs, but overall a cracking good microbrand for sure
@@PeterKotsa the only thing that's stopping me for buying one is the brand name lol.
I like it but my lifestyle doesn't present many occasions to wear it. As for jewellery, most watches are jewellery, especially dive (style) watches, most of which will only see water if they get splashed while the wearer is washing his (or her) hands.
Does " infilled" mean plated?
From my understanding, yes
Nope it does not. Filled means 5% of actual gold, much thicker than plating. It's a thin sheet of gold a 100 times thicker than plated
@@gideonMorrison good information. Thanks
As a father, you should know that you can't blame a teenager for being loud. 15 is a strange age. 😋😂
😂
I didn't expect anything less from you Stavros...
Sometimes I act 15 though..tell that to my kids😘😂
@@PeterKotsa We all do mate. That's what keeps us alive... and kickin'! 🤘🤪
Spandau Ballet special edition
Now I am gonna pull out that old Vinyl record and pump up the volume to 11
Made in Thailand? (Or China, just office in Thailand)
Some parts from China, some parts from Thailand. Assembled in Thailand.
If the movement is a proper no date Miyota 9000 series, then it's a 9039, not a 9015.
What did I say?..9015?...maybe I was thinking 15 year anniversary or something..brain fog 😂
Hang on, their website also says 9015, that must be a misprint..
Thanks for clarification 👍
@@PeterKotsaI noticed the same thing when ordering mine. I messaged them, but never got a proper response. Perhaps the gold finish on the movement is only available in a 9015? Most importantly, thank you for confirming no ghost position!
It's probably 90S5 mov, because 9015 has a date. It's a mistake on their end.
Great mov ether way.
@@Stanjara agreed..
@@Stanjara good call. They use the 9039 in a number of models, so I'm guessing the gold finish was the reason they chose that movement. Great watches, but nearly impossible to get answers through messaging via their website. Thank you all for answers here!
Wise should have added fake diamonds as hour markers 😵💫
They make gorgeous watches, but they aren't for me as I'm reluctant to wear fully polished watches...🤔 and shiny croc pattern straps aren't my thing either! 😬
highly polishes ..my nightmare……… otherwise, it’s a beautiful watch
pimp watch.
pass
Not for everyone, that's for sure 👍
Fifteen years, yet they have a very poor customer service. No response to emails or communication. Wise has to understand that creating good products is just one facet of building a brand. Customer service and satisfaction is another, and more importantly, because it is what will develop a loyal following. They are failing in this at the moment
Thats good to know. I'll probably end up getting either this watch or one of their true gmt's. Hard to match at this price point.
I just can’t buy into landfill packaging anymore, just put products in a nice solid recycled cardboard box with your brand on it.
Waaaaaaaay too much bling. No legibility. Less is always much more elegant and refined.
Kind of druglord vibe…
Hahahaha...thats funny
@@PeterKotsa And still I would buy it.
@@bozakemp22 hahaha
Not a good looking watch at all.
I like your videos this watch is very cool looking but I have to disagree about your gripe with the legibility. That just seems like your nitpicking way too much. Anyone who wants or in the market to get this watch is clearly not worried about timekeeping this is a piece of art and a very nice looking timepiece that can tell the time if you're not dramatic about it
