Tips: Check ambient light levels in your room. This track is very hard at night with too much light around you. I used a reading lamp and bounced it off a wall behind me.
@@davidporeilly1 I get that but sometimes it's daytime and you can't get a dark room. Most people haven't set their system gamma properly either. If you have a solid midrange monitor you should be able to drive in day or night with limited to no gamma adjustment in-game with the right settings.
As much as Id love to do the 24hr I just cant. I did the 4 hour version earlier this year and loved it. Despite being wiped out on lap 1 and 3 server disconnects and rejoin within the first 45 minutes.....afterwards it was brilliant, just dont overdrive the car and enjoy it.
Thanks Em! Good vid with lots of tips. Not racing in this this year, but, will likely do a few hours with AI. I've been practicing in the McLaren 570s GT4. Did a race there last week and got myself wrecked. Curbs are not my friends.
Yeah I've actually gone on two wheels with the GR86 in base setup by just turning sharply. I almost flipped by taking the Spa bus stop during a pace lap. From pole to last in the weirdest way possible.
Mutkurve was flat-out last year. Due to the new Nordschleife specs it doesn´t work anymore. The BMW is now the mother of understeering. Same at Flugplatz
Anyone ever seen that "lap of life" clip on Ayrton Senna and how he talks about being in the zone? Nurburgring really is a proper in the moment track. Once you master it, everything else stops as you focus in on every corner rushing to kill your car/ race. Can't wait to race it over 24hrs. I also recommend hot lapping here in the V8 supercar
Thanks for the video. I noticed that while you were talking that your TrakRacer racing seat was wobbling. Is that normal for TrakRacer seats and do you feel that wobble while racing? I remember you did a video in the past of your TrakRacer rig and was wondering about that.

If your monitor supports HDR that helps. If not you can do some gamma adjustments in Nvidia controll panel/AMD/ARC equivalent.
@lincolnator My point is simpler than that. You just need a dark room when it's night on the Nordschliefe. Why fake the on screen experience.

Last time I did it with 2 drivers. Totally doable, but you need a day off on monday. 🤣
Next year bud! I really want to do it and I reckon we can herd some people together.

Love the rain comment 🤣, great vid Em and OverTake team. Sad I can't do this, but one day I will give it a go.
Sick, I might partake in my first one coming weekend, so this vid is still relevant :)
Good luck! Also make sure to watch our more in depth track guide we made for this year! ua-cam.com/video/lgHpJiQQnFM/v-deo.html
Great one! Now I just need a PC. Maybe next year :)

Will there be any live commentary to watch?
Bergwerk is the secret sauce.
Wipperman is the most fun

Too late :/ We're about thirteen hours in
My tip - avoid the Williams team like the plague
Nordscheife not Nordschleif !!!
