That brought back good memories. We did Walter's Wiggles but stopped at Angel's Landing. It was so beautiful up there . Definitely something I'll never forget!
Nathan you enjoy the journey more then the destination itself, so why the view is not as important, fits your channel name. I was at Angels Landing about 3 years ago, have a bad fear of heights so I walked about 25 yards up the beginning then went and did the West Trail I think is what it's called. BEAUTIFUL and a good workout for sure.
You are on west rim trail from the Virgin River. Angels landing is a trail off west rim trail. You can back country hike and stay at camp sites on west rim trail. It’s way better than Angels Landing
I have watched a few UA-camrs do this hike. One, I only way I knew she survived was that the video was posted. Clearly she pushed herself to exhaustion. Another tuber had the misfortune to hike on a day when someone intentionally lept to his death. That’s a mess to deal with. People should not take this hike lightly! Thanks for sharing your drama free experience.
I did this hike almost 30 years ago, in March when there was still a little slush on the hog back. Glad I did it with a buddy, who had climbing experience will never forget that hike as long as I live.
It was nice you went Marissa’s brother and a friend. Glad you got a shuttle bus to get you there. And glad you all made it up to the top. I live the story of how it became Angels Landing. Great video. There were angels watching over all of you. Love you guys! 🤗 Have a great week and see you soon and safe travels.
We were at Zion a few months ago and I didn’t even consider this hike because of my fear of heights but it was fun to see you guys do it and what it’s like up there!
My distain for switchbacks is profound. Walter’s Wiggles may actually keep me from doing Angel’s landing! I’m with you Nathan. It’s about conquering the hike and getting back. I don’t like to linger. Y’all should come to WA and get permits to do St Helens. It is my favorite hike to date. Multiple terrain types and you can have your meal at the top of a volcano.
Thanks for sharing. I have a trip booked for end of February. Sadly I was not awarded a permit ahead of time for it. Hopefully I can get a day permit. It does irk me to know that people who are awarded permits sometimes don't use it or show up. That just becomes a wasted permit that no one else can use. Someone like me who spends about a grand to travel/lodge/car-rental with related expenses can't complete the trail because of this system with no accountability.
Did this about 43 years ago with 3 three Air Force Buddies. I had and still have fear of heights. Watching this I have no idea how in the world I made it.
Me and my wife hiked Angels Landing last July. Scary and strenuous hike but it was worth it. It was an awesome feeling once you reach the top. There is something about Angels Landing that makes you feel you want to go up there again sometime. 😎👍
I was not always risk averting. But becoming a father, husband, and now a grandfather and caretaker to my wife I care too much about people who rely on me and care about me. I have fun watching your videos but can't fathom you and your choices.
6:43 I took a picture of this sign when I hiked the trail in 2016 (before permits were mandatory). Back then it said “Since 2004, six people have died…” I just noticed that the NPS removed the word “six”.
It's about 17-20 now. My step brother was one of them. Barry Goldstein, 2007. Extreme athlete. Physically fit. Always respectfully cautious. Slipped on loose rocks on the way down from the summit. His wife and children watched him fall 1,000 feet to his death. This hike is not to be taken so lightly. RIP, Barry. 😢
I'm like Nathan - I got to the end, spent about 3 minutes enjoying the view and taking pictures, and then turned around and walked about 100 feet back to sit and enjoy my lunch lol.
Nope, nope and nope. I couldn't even go to scouts landing. I grew up in St George and never went on that hike. I don't like heights. Even watching videos makes my palms start to sweat and my heart race.
@@LessJunkMoreJourney THANK U !!!!! The 4k really makes the video pop. Your videography is always spot on. My wife and I went full time because of watching you guys. Hello from johnson City, TN.
It’s really not that bad, just get a early start and avoid the traffic on the chains on the return. Don’t put your trust in strangers in those tight areas.
This vlog absolutely FREAKED ME OUT! I almost felt like I was walking on that two foot, straight down on each side. I have a fear of heights.....UGH!
Same, I could not watch the video, I had to listen to it. lol

I am huffing and puffing just watching the video! Great accomplishment.
Thank you.
Thank you! I have balance issues and could never do this! 😊
You're so welcome, we are glad you enjoyed watching

Which UA-camr was there when someone lept to their death?

It’s amazing 🤩
😮 … I’m not afraid of heights, but a bit clumsy. Going to skip this one. 🤣 Glad you’re safe.

I was there 11 years ago. Seeing the hike again is nostalgic.

Totally worth the re-watch.
With better quality 😀
Oh my gosh! Wow! Wow! Wow! You're amazing. Those views are amazing. Wow!
Thank you so much!
THIS IS MY 2ND TIME SEEING THIS WITH YOU

Take 2 just as awesome as take 1. I wish YT would allow us to replace a glitched video without having to take it down altogether. I've had to do that.
Yep can't replace it so a new video it is.
Oh man you folks are adventurous! What time of year were you in Zion? August?
No fallish

It is exhilarating 👍

@@jillwklausenwow, amazing comment. The NPS is not responsible for the safety of visitors. I look for the trail to be closed
@@rayray4192 , I didn't say they were responsible did I? Nice condolences though.
I so want to do this hike 🚶♀️ and Half Dome. Nice work.
Thank you! 😊
No way! It's scary enough just to watch.
Where did you all stay at? We stayed at Willowwind RV park in hurricane! Was an amazing park! Lots of mature trees😀👋
Thank you for sharing!! Really enjoyed it 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
IVE WATCHED YOU ON HALF DOME WHEN YOU DID IT LOVE YOU
Having done both Angel's Landing and Half Dome , Half Dome is a much more dangerous , harder and longer hike than Angel's Landing
They’re both challenging and different I love them both!
Half Dome is physically more challenging..that's the bottom line
Worth watching again💪
We had some technical problems with the video and had to replace it.
Didn't you just show this video Sunday?
Since that video is no longer on their channel I bet that video had some sort of problem and they had to re up it today
Yes there was a technical issue with Sunday's video so we had to take it down and put the fixed one up.
I'm glad you asked. I thought I saw it already or I had a stroke🤭
That’s what I was thinking
I loved watching twice! What’s the song playing in the video? I really liked it.
Thanks those are songs made for video production.
I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhogs Day!
We had some technical problems with the video and had to replace it.
Y’all are brave!
I LOVE STEWART. I HAVE A FEAR OF FALLING SO I WOULD NOT DO THIS HIKE BUT GLAD TO SEE IT
How did you film at 9:40?
That was Nathan using his 360 camera that's on a long selfie-stick
I'm like Nathan - I got to the end, spent about 3 minutes enjoying the view and taking pictures, and then turned around and walked about 100 feet back to sit and enjoy my lunch lol.
Nope nope nope. I got a queasy stomach and sweaty palms just watching the video!! I thought Nathan hated heights?
No Nathan is fine with heights.
@@LessJunkMoreJourney My apologies. I guess I got that impression when you guys went over NM-550. 👍🏽
WOWZERS
Are your families ok? Prayerfully they got through the storm and all is well..
We are good thank you.
OMgoodness... my stomach dropped just watching this. No thank you.
That was poor judgement to take off shirt and backpack at that spot 😢
Thanks
This feels like Deja vu! But I watched it again anyways...
We had a technical problem with the last video and had to place it. Thanks for watching again.
Re run.....😮
Yes there was a technical issue with Sunday's video so we had to take it down and publish this one. 😀
Nope, nope and nope. I couldn't even go to scouts landing. I grew up in St George and never went on that hike. I don't like heights. Even watching videos makes my palms start to sweat and my heart race.
I thought you could go as far as Scouts landing with no permit?
That is true but they were checking early.
Is this a repost? I swore I thought I saw this on Sunday.
We had some technical problems with the video and had to replace it.

@@onealmr You are so welcome, congratulations on going full-time.
So not a chain on all dangerous spots? Sooo scary 😮
It’s definitely challenging
That would be a “HELL NO” for me
I can barely watch; gong to Yosemite years ago made me dizzy looking down. This is almost as bad as via feratta.
Sorry about that 🫣
It’s really not that bad, just get a early start and avoid the traffic on the chains on the return. Don’t put your trust in strangers in those tight areas.
Thanks for the tips!
Heck no
😳😳😳
Welcome to my backyard
Beautiful but very sketchy hike - uuuum no!
Must be a glitch. This was Sundays video ?
Yes there was a technical issue with Sunday's video and we just can't replace the video we have to publish the video again 😀
This hike, while extremely nerve wracking, has actually only had 3 deaths. So it's not anywhere near the deadliest hike in America.
I think it's more like 20 in the last 20 years.
It was definitely the scariest!
How many times are you going to post this video
😢😢😢😢😢😢
We had some technical problems with the video and had to replace it, so hopefully this is the last time 😀
Bathroom ?!
Sometimes you have to go off the trail a bit 😅
We need a video of how many times she changes clothes, she had that green shirt on for like a second but then it off again 😂
Haha the weather was so strange. The wind would pick it up and be cold then the sun would make it hot haha.
Вместо того, чтобы снимать свои клоунские ужимки, показывайте красоту природы.
Thanks for the tip!
Don’t you have an innocent country to invade?
Nope………..!
I have a fear of heights, but it was worth stuffing that fear down and doing it twice. Second time was much easier.
Glad you faced that fear!
