Just hiking up to Scout Point is worth it and totally safe in good weather. Also, it is not subject to the quota restrictions unless you go beyond this point.
Having a chain to hold on the climb up may be comforting for some, but not for me. What if that chain is wet? Or what if gets heated up on a hot day so it becomes a problem? I think I am very unlike people who get a thrill from being hundreds of feet above some base elevation so that they can look down. I'd rather be hiking under tall trees. Alongside an active stream alive with fish and waterfowl would be even better.
This park is certainly unique. The access looks dangerous. It is fun to be along the trails with you and experience the thrill. You have reached where angels have trod!😇
Made this climb as well. It was an awesome hike. I don’t think it’s all that dangerous if you’re there when it’s not busy. What made it dangerous was all the people going up and down and the times you have to let go of the chain to let people pass.
Made it in the nineties, this is not a ridge but natural wall, 400m high 6m wide, uneven smooth rock base. Very risky and though ppl stroll there as if it's a walk in the park, they are definitely in a denial mode. To get to the top of the wall the masterminds of USNP installed helical cemented way that leads up the wall. On the way back I made a mistake and tried to get down big rock and found myself hanging over the void. In my opinion a steel pasarela should be installed on the wall, otherwise it should be closed. But in a good note I should mention that as a tourist I had all the info from the VC and have good memories from all these canyons, including this fantastic wall
Bro, Why take that sketch trail when you just climb any of the plethora of sport and trad routes that are available? 😎 Happy to help, brah. - Random Guy
It's not particularly "dangerous" as it's well protected up and down the exposed parts. You certainly need a head for heights, but the views from the top are fantastic.
I have to write, before finishing the video, that a headline like that seems to be pandering to whining paranoiacs. A ledge is not a knife edge, the top ridge is the knife edge. The video is great, depiction of the finest hike in the world, I loved it, except for the pandering.
I am impressed by the work involved in drilling holes, setting posts in concrete & string the chains------ without the posts & chains.
Well alrighty then. Thanks for watching !
@@ThenaturalmedicAdventures🙃I love that saying “ well alrighty then” “ well there you go “
Thank you for this beautiful video. Anything that isn't level ground is a hard no. But seeing videos is a pleasure.
Glad you enjoyed it!

You’re right! The only quota I’m worried about is how many snacks I can carry on the hike. Gotta keep my energy up!
Was a phenomenal experience for sure! You did a great job of capturing the challenges of the hike and the beautiful views along the way!
Thanks! I like to think of myself as the Indiana Jones of hiking vlogs.

There are definitely risks of going up but to me it was worth the climb and I didnt always use the chains. They are available if you need them.
What if s
You always have the option of not using the chains. Also, you can wear gloves to get a better grip and to protect your hands if the chain is hot.

@@buzzzub8563 Good suggestions. And then there is my fear of heights... Ativan?

If angels treading here means dodging a few branches, then I'm all in! Just trying to keep my halo intact while having fun!
Great video! I think i'd be too terrified to go up there. Also, chipmunk spotted at 4:56
Yes lots of chipmunks we took a break and they were jumping all over us! Thanks for the comment!
Just hiked it Aug 7th '24 awesome hike. It was breathtaking. Highly recommend as long as you are not afraid of heights.
Agree 👍

It was May 1st when I made this video it wasn't too hot or super busy. You are correct though under busy conditions it gets difficult to negotiate.

a lot of fun, it was freezing but not crowded at all.

Thanks for the assistance 🙂
Love zion national park 🏞
I look forward to exploring it more !

Agreed
Agree.
Gorgeous location.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this location is a stunner!
Al is not dangerous if your hand grip works. Half dome cables are extremely dangerous.
Very true I was sad to hear about the lady that fell at half dome :(
No, it is not.
Easy to lose your grip. Slip or trip and one could easily lose their grip and fall. Great for keeping the gene pool strong.
Video from ABC 3 years ago. Deadly
Long way down
Picacho Peak by Tucson is about the same. But I guess not as many visitors so less injuries.
LOL. Comparing the two is like comparing a Little league baseball team to the World Series Champions. Get real. Yes I have done both numerous times.

Good. It would have been better if you'd cut out about 90% of the narration.
Well thanks glad you enjoyed it
Scary
Scary? Just think of it as an intense workout for your heart! ❤️💪
Nope not happening 😂😂
Not even the most dangerous hike in the park
Which is your pick?
