I tried to like the slim 9mm Glocks but I find them to be too skinny to shoot consistently like my double stack Glocks. I went with the g48 to help with recoil and while it shoots well for a small gun, it doesn't shoot like a double stack Glock. The G26 is Superior to the slimline Glocks in every category except width/IWB comfort, which is certainly a big deal, but if you can put up with the additional width of the g26 you get a lot of advantages.

the trick to comfort with double stacks is to buy pants with an extra inch of waistband than usual.

    Good video. Good points.
Another thing to consider that isn’t often mentioned when comparing ccw pistols. The overall size and in particular the grip size influences the ability to draw from concealed with a proper placement of the dominant shooting hand with a firm grip ready to fire.

Tell ya what, the Strike Industries +2 base plate for G26 really makes it feel complete. The way it feels in the palm is perfect. I like it better than the G19 mag w/X Grip. Plus it’s still concealable. The gun just looks complete, like how it was meant to be. 100% reliable too. G26 w/12+1 is gold.
Thanks for the intro on that!

I really appreciate your channel. Great bits of information and straight up.. So, I have been carrying a PSA Dagger all day. I have recently put together a Glock 43x frame with a PSA Micro Dagger complete slide enhanced with optic cut fro. PSA and an additional Herrington Arms 43x comp. It is just like a G 19 but slimmer for carry and 15 rounds with PSA mag. I would put this set up against all like comers

Great video and you bring up great points for people that love talking about aftermarket stuff but the reliability is always in question whereas the OEM works well and glock doesn’t have to innovate because they make dependability
Too many companies try to build in features, but features aren’t what you depend on when your life is at stake
It would seem like the 26 shoots well, even if the pinky finger is hanging off the bottom, because of how robust the slide is, and that makes up for having one less finger to hold the grip

Good video. I always said the G43 is a slim Glock 26 and the G48 is a Slim Glock 19 unless you have a 43X slide on it.. These guns are basically made for states thats limited to 10 rds even tho you can get aftermarket magazines.. I also seen videos where people modified extended magazines to fit them as well. I love the slimline Glock series

As a relatively new shooter (went to the range about 6 times this year, and a handful of times in 2022) I am finding the shield arms mags are more sensitive to bad form. Me and my wife got 2 43X’s, first time to the range with OEM mags only, no jams. Second time we had our shield arms mags and we were getting a ton of jams. I promise we didn’t have better form the first time. Same Winchester 9mm NATO ammo from the same batch. An instructor fixed up our form and the jams went away. Toward then end as we were getting tired and fatigued we had couple of jams again. Shield arms mags are not unreliable, but maybe part of that “Glock reliability” and “my Glock eats any and all ammo” is because they leave more room for error in their OEM mags. With what you said about seeing guys bad form getting jams with shield arms mags, I thought this would be relevant information. In a self defense shooting you may not have a perfect grip from rushing, or if you’re a new shooter. May be something to think about. However I imagine shield arms mags are close to 100% reliable with good form with this information.

Don't have to many Glock pistols, but the one I carry 24/7 is my Glock 33 gen3, wanted it in the 31 , and almost passed on the 33 , glad i went with my gut feeling and snagged it up, have been carrying it since 2015 and has been a excellent choice and I have also used various types of holsters and pocket carry, still want a 32 and 23 and a 27 barrel and a 40 to 9 mm conversion barrel, like Glock and Taurus and smith & Wesson,💯 and carry these too in various calibers and some of my East European pistols,in 9x18 and 7.62x25 , I prefer various calibers and options

Two carry setups depending on weather and whether I have to go into places where firearms are off limits.
    1. Ruger LCP max with 12 round magazine in a Vedder pocket holster. Spare and pepper spray in left pocket.
    2. Gen 3 26 in tier one appendix holster. Pepper spray in left front pocket.
I have a 43x mos with a Holosun and I am trying it out. I shot an IDPA match with it and shot accurately but slowly. I noticed in rapid fire I tend to pull it right, which I think is due to the slimmer grip. I also have a tier one appendix for it. The trigger was absolutely horrible from the factory and I replaced it with a Johnny Glock combat trigger. It doesn’t lighten the trigger, but it makes it crisper and has a better reset.
On both I have added the striker control device, which gives me more security when reholstering.

I just bought a Double Diamond, 40 to 9mm barrel for my gen 3 glock 27, mainly to save money on ammo. I've put about 300 rds thru it with no issues. Shoots great and the lower recoil is nice after shooting
.40 ammo for several yrs. I did try it with the 27 mags and had several malfunctions, so buy some 26 mags or any double stack 9mm glock mag will probably work. Dropped right in with no issues and no malfunctions with the proper mags. I still carry it in the .40 cal configuration, just not sold on the 9mm for stopping power, just an old bias from some someone who was a 1911 shooter for decades.

G26 is better in so many ways IMO. I had the 43X and 48 and ended up going back to the 26. A lot of people who handle a 26 don’t like it at first, then they shoot it and that always changes their mind. If you feel the need to have a full grip, Glock has 12-round OEM mags that work great.
I just didn’t get the point of the 10 round single stack Glocks. In my experience with them it didn’t make sense if you have a G19. I didn’t find the X any easier to conceal so why would I give up the advantages of the G19. Anyway, that’s why I sold them.

Glock 26 with his shorter grip makes it even a better EDC carry weapon. 43x is best with a after market magwel to have a better grip for your pinkie but then you will hang on almost every time especiall in your carseat and eventually cause malfunctions. In SHTF situation is best to have the typical Glock double stack mag because fighting alone is just for playstation. You will fight with several opponents and you need a bigger mag.
