I agree. Wearing the habit is a beautiful sign of who they are.
Sad to see they abandoned the Benedictine habit
They’d get way, way more YOUNG vocations if they did.
If they allowed nuns and priests to marry.
Religious were asked to adapt to the era they are living in, it is their decision and noone else decision
@@JohnPatterson-kz8jr If thats the case Orthodoxy should be growing it isnt
Very interesting. I will definitely visit. Monastic retreats are my idea of a very peaceful vacation.
Just think how many more women would join if they returned to the simple Benedictine habit.
Thank You. God Bless
Where are their habits? Where is the Gregorian Chant of the Liturgy of the Hours in Latin? Where is any semblance of Sacred Tradition? Like many other Monasteries, this one will eventually dwindle and die off until none of them are left with no Vocations. This is the fruit of Vatican II and the suppression of the Traditional Latin Mass. Sad. Pray for One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Salve Maria!
Worth the trip
Monastery or convent ?
Not only abandoning the tradition habits but totally the traditional way of the founders , having your self's on if you think you are living the spirituality of St Benedict .
Do they have any young sisters?
It'll return or their chapter will not survive the test of time. Long black line. 🖤

I don't know how they following the rule of when they do not wear a Saint Benedict believed in poverty Chastity and obedience they do not wear clothes other poor The habit is closed of the poor some sectors where are rings and necklaces around that is
Gone the Modernist way. Sad.
1:29 😊
The early sister wore the garb of the widow so they would blend in and not stand out. They were to be know for their good works not what they wore. The vows of a Sister in a habit are the same vows as one who does not were a habit. One is not better than the other,. One is not more religious than the other. Their heart embraces the same God. There is much more to religious life than 6 yards of black material.
Da oblata benedettina sono molto dispiaciuta.
Se l'abito tradizionale non era gradito potevano farne uno diverso. CON il mezzo velo.
Ma i pantaloni no.....
They are members of LCWR, and serious doubts exist as to whether they even believe that Jesus is a Divine, not a human, person. I have nothing to do with them!
These nuns will soon be a memory because they abandoned religious habit and tradition.
Many orders and religious communities have done the same.
Because of their vow of obedience they have no choice when told to take it off and stop wearing it.
@@redmi9834 I don’t know of orders who forced nuns to abandon habit. The habit is optional.
Not quite so. If a decision has been taken by their superiors and in the name of uniformity and the rules against being singular they have to obey. I read recently of one nun still in temporary vows who left after six years of wearing the habit and then being told she must stop.
@@redmi9834 These leftist congregations will soon be a memory.❤️🙏🏻
And poor St Wilhelmina would not give up her habit so had to leave for another convent. Now her habit remains uncorrupt..
Many more people would return to the Catholic Church and become nuns if they returned to the habit.
Do that citadel and its owner(s)/inmates belong to Jesus' fold or Satan's ? What was the legacy Jesus left behind ? What a worldly glory that citadel of Satan expose?
What about this story made you think of Satan?
What a strange thing to say. These women are in prayer a great portion of every day. They do good works in the community and for each other. There's nothing satanic about that.
I agree no habits they look like ordinary women so sad !!! Not worth joining
It shouldn't matter if they're not still wearing habits because they may be able to interact with the greater community better if they're not viewed by others as being too different. Everyone in the surrounding community is not Catholic. I would think that it would be easier to attract Young women provocations , if they don't feel that they have to give up everything familiar. I was taught by Benedictines and Sakesians. I remember the habits clearly. Looking back and thinking about it I believe laity and non-Catholics could identify with them more easily if they can relate to them. Modernization and change is not always the best, but in this case it might be a good thing.
No proper religious habit worn is sad and rebellious.
It's about time they "kicked the habit"!!
Maybe if the Pope restored abbatial deaconesses rights they'd order up... 🍳
