Next time in Miami, please tour the Art Deco area. Amazing.
Just some facts for anyone curious about current/former residents.
The boat tour passed star Island which is home to Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, and previously was where Shaquille o'neal had a residence, along with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas .
Palm Island which is the Island that is connected to the A1A highway right across from the crew ships/port is.
Current/former residents on Palm Island include:
* Al Capone
* rapper/producer Bryan "Birdman" Williams,
* Scott Storch - music producer,
* Gabrielle Anwar - Actor from the tv show - Burn Notice,
* Russell Weiner - founder of Rockstar Energy Drinks,
* Alex Rodriguez's Ex Wife,
* Nick nolte - actor,
* Rajat gupta - businessman,
* Barbara Walters - Television personality.
* Bernard Levine - Former Parrot Jungle owner
* Pedro Martin - Co founder TerraGroup - Big Miami property developer
Many of the current Palm Island residents have net worth's pushing $100,000,000 or more, with some worth Billions. Almost all of them are making at least a few million a year if not $10,000,000+
Fun fact: Palm Island is open to the public. There is a guard shack that is manned by Miami Beach police, but anyone can drive onto the Island and enjoy the park or view the houses. They just take your name and license plate number. I encourage anyone who enjoys taking those boat tours to drive around Palm Island. Some very beautiful houses to view along with a nice park.
Stunning! Fantastic experience 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
On the Star Island boat tour, they have Rosie O'Donell, Gloria Estefan, Shaq, P. Diddy, Elizabeth Taylor.
Escalators can never be broken, they only become stairs. You’re welcome for the convenience! -Mitch Hedberg
Imagine having one of those tiki boats with a bar on the Thames, pinky out sipping a Gin and tonic 😆
Miami is such a beautiful city, and one of many beautiful cities to visit throughout the US.
If ya like great big houses, visit Ashville, North Carolina and tour the Biltmore Mansion. Joel,Lia... y'all would lose your mind in there. It's massive.
Perfect music, great experience.
Really enjoyed this one guys. Keep it up
The little boat are called tiki boats that you pay to take you out, you bring your own food and drinks. Hold six people max, lots of fun.
I'm so jealous. If I only had tens of millions of dollars to throw around, I can't think of any other place I'd rather buy a home.
I love those tour as a kid, Bayside is fun
Wow fun!
Lia, it is a bar and as you drink you have to peddle the "boat hut" or you will be stuck. Don't get drunk or you'll be sunk.
Nice tour folks! 👌👏Hi👋 from Bolivia🇧🇴
I've not travelled around the country a lot but Miami is one of the most beautiful locales I've been to.
Miami really is a beautiful city.
Glad you two had an opportunity to see where "them people" live. Commentary was hilarious!
Thank you for sharing your fun day out on the water! I bet it was nice to get away for a while. I love looking at fancy houses like that too
You both have done such a good job on all your channels.
I lived in Miami for 6 1/2 yrs back in the 90’s and I would take anyone visiting on this boat tour of the stars homes!! It was a lovely ride! We would do the party boat though. Not sure if this is the same one or even if the party boat exists anymore. They would play loud music and people would dance!! Great fun!!❤️
Great video Joel and Lia, I lived in Miami once upon a time..! I have taken the party boat that was a floating party and while they played the music we got to see the celebrities homes. Back in he early 00s from Bayside I paid like 20 dollars something like that. Miami is a great place to visit as a tourist, but not to live is very expensive. Unless you have really nice income. Look forward to the video from Wynwood.
Bring it on M'Legends!!! L&C 👍😘❤️🇬🇧
Interesting. Cool vid guys. 👍
absolutely prilliant
It looked like a nice ride. Good day for it.
Omg I Work in that mall! Lol I took my sister to that tour too when she came from NY. I’m glad you guys like it!
Jackie Chan might own the house out there just he’s barely going to use it anyway. He’s literally just there a week out of the year due to his filming schedule. Jackie is in Hong Kong most of the year or in Beijing or New York or LA somewhere filming another movie in front or behind the camera doesn’t matter because he can do it all. It’s how celebrities work literally they buy houses they barely use for random reasons and just leave it sitting there.
Jackie Chan sucks nowadays he likes the CCP
In from Miami !!
What a fun day you guys had. I felt like I was there with you. I'm just loving these travel videos. Thanks J & L!
I’d love to see you both on a Hollywood celebrity tour bus.
It looks nice just wait for when the storms come
I find it so interesting that so many British people (according to UA-cam, anyway) visit Florida most often when they come to the U.S. I would have thought New York City, Los Angeles and Hawaii, and maybe San Francisco, would be likelier U.S. destinations. And for beachgoers, I'm surprised Caribbean islands aren't the go-tos.
I think the surprise mainly has to do with the idea that "we're going to AMERICA!" and Florida is...so...unique. Its environment is unique, its population is unique, its politics are unique and unlike most of the rest of the U.S., thank God. So it just seems like an odd place for people to visit and then say they've seen the United States, like if people from the U.S. visited just the Gnome Reserve in Devon and thought they had seen the United Kingdom.
But anyway, Florida does of course have a lot to offer tourists. People usually choose the everything-artificial theme parks, but Florida's nature is its real treasure.
I think the fact that Florida is subtropical/tropical weather wise is also a factor for visiting as well - nothing like British weather.
I'm a Brit and I want to visit New York and LA but since J & L have showed Florida and I've been watching other youtubers that live in Florida, it's been added to the list. I also want to go to Nashville and Texas.
I'm glad you enjoyed the cruise it is nice to do. However, the bigger and better houses are around Coco Plum and Old Cuttler Rd, Fort Lauderdale has a sprawling are like this along the New River just east of Las Olas in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, up the coast A1A shows the amount of wealth deposited in real state in the sunshine state.
Lia is correct, the restaurant on Bayside called La Cantina there food is amazing, remembering as kid there coconut fried shrimp is so good. Overall what they have is amazing
Y’all are so crazy.......😂😂😂
I think BangBros film movies from some of those homes.
Wonder what happens to all those places during a hurricane? So close to the water with almost no elevation.
You usually have to be fairly close to the eye to get the worst conditions, plus it needs to be a category 4 or 5. This greatly reduces the areas that actually get destoryed. The worst they've probably gotten in the last 30 years is some tree limbs down. The last time Miami got hit really bad was hurricane Andrew in 1992. Then yes, homes on the water got flooded and had to be greatly repaired. But even then some sections of the beach didn't get hit as bad by high water. It just depends on a lot of factors.
Most of the coastal houses are required by law to be elevated. Atleast places where Katrina hit. And the high end houses are built specifically to withstand hurricane and typhoon conditions.
Wow, great video. I just wanted to let you know that their is free boat roads in bayside
I even gasped on the JLO one 😂😂😂😂

In Seattle, we have Biscuit Bitch that makes a lovely biscuits & gravy.
Hi Joel & Lia
Very cool. Havent really seen Millionaires Row like this B4. Awesome.. we Legends need to pool our funds and get a place.😊😁😉
I offer $10. If we all toss ten in that would be over $3,000,000. lol
Need to go up millionaire's row out there in Monterey, California. It's probably all gated up and can't see nothing nowadays.
Beautiful Miami. My friend lives in the Panorama building that you stayed in!
I think they are staying at the ICON Brickell not the Panorama.
Where'd the music come from? 😃
I just saw your vacation home. Very posh.
Are you guys going to the Versace mansion?
Never been to Miami, but I do love boat cruises around cities I'm visiting. Did you see The Navigator (fun Disney film from 1980s set in Miami)? The movie family lived in a cool house on one of the canals in Miami ~ I don't think it would have qualified to bein included on your tour, but I feel sure it is worth a million now. Wouldn't it be fun to just walk across the street from your house to board your family boat and cruise into town for dinner? I'll be cruising up the Thames in May from Westminster to Greenwich, and can't wait! Found your channel whilst preparing for my upcoming trip to England - thanks for all the great Tips-for-Americans-Traveling-in-England! xoxo
Not sure if you are still in Miami but if you are and you see this post you should 100% go to Villa Vizcaya and do the tour. I’m telling you it is worth it and I would love to see your reactions to it!!!!
What a fun day, loved the name of the restaurant you went to. 😁 I almost felt like I was there with you, boat tours are so fun, I did one a few years ago in Washington DC and we saw George Washington‘s house at Mount Vernon. I am loving these travel vlogs, it’s so fun to see and hear about new places! 🙌❇️☺️❤️
You can actually go to George Washinton’s house & go inside & tour the plantation & see the tomb where him & wife are buried. It’s a great trip.
@@PurpleHaze929 Yeah that’s the one my family did, it was a great trip and we learned a lot!
I don't know if the boat you went on is like the celebrity see busses like we have in Los Angeles, but more likely than not they're not telling the truth which celebrity lives where. But in the end, it really doesn't matter if you're having a good time.
That was fun!
Did you enjoy Florida or Cali more?
How is this cruise called? I wanna do it ! Great video guys!
I think the boat said Island queen tours
That was fun 😊
#AlwaysVIP
My Mom and Sister went on this tour. I'm jelly lol. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
I would love to own a home in Miami
I got engaged in that boat, i am from Miami
The one you weren’t sure about used to be Elizabeth Taylor’s house. Idk whose it is now
I hope those buildings don't collapse, like Surfside.
That Condo that collapsed was due to shoddy construction where the Developer cut corners. They now have to pay $83 Million to the residents & family members who died in that building. That was a freak event and Florida has one of the strongest building codes in the US because of Hurricanes.
Везёт же вам!
The founder of Viagra lives in the large home you didn't hear the name for. ;)
Hiya Joel and Lia, if you go back to Philadelphia, would you go to Hot Potato Cafe, Gordon Ramsay went there and done a remarkable job, I just want to see if its still open and how well they've done, this was a nice vlog, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, United Kingdom
i remember that episode!
I think you can try to Google that little restaurant to see if it's still open, view menu, etc.
Where did you have to get on the boat? Was it in Miami Beach or the city of Miami?
@4:18 ~ Kudos for the music selection, here. Never heard that before. Not in keeping with UA-cam tradition, though, which is uniformly playing annoying music. They'll probably have a word with you about inserting good music into a vlog.
Hi, new subscriber from Portland, Oregon. Are you related or best friends? You both are adorable together. Joel, thank you for showing how handsome a man can be with a great haircut and absolutely no beard or moustache! Do you guys ever get overly full-too much food in your travels? I always split a plate of food for every meal and then maybe drink only a Pepsi or bottle of chilled water for a snack while on vacation. Our plan is to order something different and split it so we can try a lot of new places and not get stuffed and have to go back to the hotel and take a nap!

The billionaires tend to have homes in coral gables which isn’t too far from Miami proper. That or have islands near Miami. Honestly a ton of tour companies are based in that mall in brickle. It’s just meh. I know Disney, universal, and Busch gardens along with Merlin entertainment run buses from the two outlet malls in Orlando. So really it’s not that big of change. You really don’t want to be in downtown Miami except maybe brickle. The hotels aren’t great. I know actionkid stayed just off downtown due to how bad Miami downtown can get at night because of how deserted it gets. I mean literally there’s nothing at night and everyone is in the suburbs or in apartments. South beach is literally the only place that’s lively at night.
🥰💞
Another place to visit for shopping and eating is Cocowalk
You guys have tons of celebrities in London. Was the 25 yr old Camilla Cabello?
Joel, you never look hideous !
And I think that the 25 year old that he was talking about is lele pons.
what was your favorite home?
The Miami real housewives who owns that house is Lisa Hochstein and her surgeon husband lenny
Would have been nice to have actually SEEN Ricky Martin's house instead of just Lia TALKING about Ricky Martin's house.
You know most of them make up names to go with the houses.
Make sure you guys try a real Cuban sandwich.
Wasn’t this the tour where the guides lie about who lives in those homes? I thought that was mentioned in one of the lives.
Fun video! $50,000 per week? No problems guys!😆
took the same cruse with my xwife when we were on honey moon
You are both celebrities so they made your sandwiches quick.
unfortunately miami is in florida… it would be a great city if it were in another state. but being in florida makes it crap :(
@Spring Is Coming 🇺🇸 🤣 oh boy… you caught me 🥴🤣
@@mikehunt368 Miami makes Florida !
@@xoxxobob61 florida ruins miami
thanks now I don't have to take that dumb cruise
They don’t inform you that is actually Jack E. Shan’s house, who came to Florida from Ohio and owns five liquor stores and a bowling alley.
Announcer: Tidbit of trivia, “Al Capone died slowly and miserably from syphilus in prison!” Oh and you can’t actually see J Lo from the boat but you CAN see her ass easily. Real housewives house has a sunbathing giant lizard splayed out. Giant lizards and cranes are common in Flo….wait, actually that WAS a Real Housewife of Miami, the plastic surgery had me fooled.
Eat a sandwich with cutlery😒
Those are some of the most expensive homes in the city, but one good hurricane and they’re all trash. I’ll never understand how someone can spend $30 million on a home that’s going to get flooded every time a hurricane hits. Sure, the view is nice, and it’s exclusive, but there are better places to live inside the city.
@Spring Is Coming 🇺🇸 Where do you live. We’ve had several hurricanes the last few years. We got hit by Katrina, Wilma, Irma and Andrew. Yes, the people living there can afford to rebuild, but why would you want to put yourself in that position to begin with? Also, those homes are in an evacuation zone. If a hurricane hits, they have to leave. It’s fun living there until a storm hits.
@@reynoldrosa yeah but what about a direct hit? Where the damage is 'catastrophic'. That's the key component with those things - unless it's right by the eye, the damage is usually manageable. I would also bet that all of them pay 100k+ a year in insurance, who are happy to offer you that coverage.
@@MoMoMyPup10 It doesn’t have to be a catastrophic hit. Even a minor hurricane can damage those structures. All hurricanes have what’s called storm surge. As a hurricane moves across the ocean, it pushes the water which raises it’s level. The stronger the storm, the higher the water level. Anything near a body of water is going to get flooded. That’s why they always evacuate the coastal areas. It’s not just because the force of the wind. It’s because streets get flooded and become impassible. Rescue vehicles won’t be able to get to you.
@Spring Is Coming 🇺🇸 And, we also have homes elsewhere. Miami (all of Florida) is way too hot and humid in the summer - it’s not a year-round place.
@@reynoldrosa well then you know that storm surge damage is predicated on *where* the storm hits, and direction of winds. Fact is, we can clearly see that after those storms you mentioned have long since gone through there, all of those homes are still there. And they never lose value.
Shocked you had to wear masks in Florida
We wear masks too.
A lot of people wear Masks in Florida so why are you surprised?
