Tsuchiya can drift in ANY car, Ken Block is awesome to. But according to Tsuchiya he don't care about the DK title, a Magazine just gave him that name and it stuck with him.

That Silvia is powerful
during the fuji freshman series in 1984. Keiichi Tsuchiya drifted all the corners of the Fuji Speedway in almost every lap of the race and won it! He was crowned "Ganso Dorikin" by a car magazine editor because of his feat.

Keiichi's basic techniques are so universal. You can apply it on motorcycle and even I can perform it on my roadbike bicycle. Well done master.

I remember picking this up on dvd at HiN when I was 7 or so in 2005!! Great memories, lot has changed.
That HiN was awesome too, was in Alemeda, CA. Got to rev a japanese guy's blue 180sx drift missile from overseas. They debuted Scion with a sim racing rig playing Gran Turismo 4. Also when I spotted my first and last bayside blue R34 here in Nor Cal.

Holy crap I recognize that track! That's Horse Thief Mile, one of the Willow Springs courses you can drive in Gran Turismo Sport. He's even drifting the track in the opposite direction like me and my friends do in game, that's awesome!

I like how Tsuchiya is just being himself all the way through, and then at the very end he goes into commercial mode :D (I get that the sponsors make him do it, but it's still funny to me).

There are all these different techniques but, in America it seems every professional drifter just uses the E brake.
I think most people should use the power over or weight transfer
Because their cars are highly powered and engineered at the point you can just pop the e brake and keep tapping the throttle to drift. It's not as fun as drifting in a low powered car.
Drifter RX7 yeah honestly I think most of the American drifters just drift for angle and to see how close they can get to things not to see how fast they can clear a corner

Seriously what is the story on drifting? One part Im told it was done on mountain roads for street racing... The other was Tsuchiya got board in his track cars and would drift tracks to screw around and it caught on... Which is the real fucking story?

CK_32 tsuchiya was a street racer before he went pro. he raced on the touge and got bored of beating everyone so he started drifting to make it more exciting

For years Asians were stereotyped as bad drivers, until one nation Japan finally had enough and developed a new type of racing.
