Great discussion. Just a note: i230 stock loft for 7 iron is 33°, not 32°. Can blend with BP-S and BP-T without bending. i230s have it all imo, since they are a progressive set going from thinner, more workable short irons, and larger, high launching long irons. ZX7 in 7 iron are 32°, but on average lower spinning than others in the category.
Great question! It's a mix of a players iron and a players-distance iron. It is made with the same materials as the P790, but with size and shape that is much closer to a players iron. It's an excellent option for someone looking for a smaller, compact iron without sacrificing distance
Good feedback. We have noticed the head weights are slightly heavier than others but not a giant difference. It keeps up with most drivers in terms of distance in fittings
Ping drivers as always, qi10 if it offers extra ballspeed for a player. Ping and cobra fairways. King Tec hybrid fitters friend, same as Titleist. I230 irons suit everyone. Cleveland wedges always a winner. Putters everyone wants Scotty's but pings are easiest to get to a spec for a customer.
Do you find in your fittings that the steeper swinger with slightly above average speed (102-105 mph driver) who is a higher spinner tends to do better with low spin irons? Especially players distance category.

Great feedback and thanks for the correction. i230s have been awesome in the fitting bay, no doubt!
Kevin fitted me for my whole bag, he is an absolute beast!! Thanks Kev👊🏿
Agreed!! He's awesome
Wilson Dynapower forged could easily have a place at the table in players distance! They are awesome!! Great content, y’all!
We get a lot of people in the comments that show love to Wilson. We gotta add them to our testing....stay tuned!
What’s your opinion on P770 and where does it fit within irons ?

Where is the review / testing for the Wilson Dynapower Forged irons that came out a few months ago?
We have heard from many on these. We'll get those added here soon
10k is very consistent but my swing speed with ping drivers is always slower. The heads are so heavy compared to the competition

Were the AI Smoke line of irons all somewhat low spinning?
Yes, they're relatively low spinning. Then again, these days, most game improvement irons are low spinning

Great feedback! Lots of similarities with what our fitters would say

In many cases, yes. Or there are some lower-spinning players cavity irons, such as Srixon ZX7, that could be a good fit.
Can’t wait for the new taylormade hi toe wedges
