Sygna Suit Renegade Cynthia was the greatest spoiler the Pokémon company has ever given. For those not in the know, in the mobile game Pokémon Masters EX, a sync pair (the game’s gacha units) came out comprised of Cynthia and Giratina. People were sorta like “okay, random, but cool.” A month later, we got Volo in Legends Arceus. This bloodline is so strong they made a centuries-old god of antimatter, the Pokémon equivalent of the devil, and turned it into a FAMILY HEIRLOOM.
I, for one, think its a badass heirloom to have for a family who are all Gods amongst us, comparatively. Cynthia being a happy, chill person while being a Grim Reaper with Giratina at her fingertips is such a Cynthia-thing.
To tell the truth (as someone who has played Masters since just before 1st anniversary) I think it may had been quite a big coincidence...that being said they have been using that fact as story elements especially when Hisui characters like Rei and Akari and showed up (where Rei got PTSD for seeing Giratina being with Cynthia).
I was one of those who found it really sus. As I had the habit of predicting some new features of future games correctly. This is one of those moments where I can smell the stank of foreshadowing.
Funnily, in Pokemon Special, Cynthia smashed Gitarina so hard with Draco Meteors that it was heavily injured and retreated into Distortion World when seeing Dialga and Palkia, which it casually kidnapped before, showed up.
Paradox Cynthia, in a timeline where she was the one who had her emotions purged by Mesprit instead of Cyrus and is the one who's leading Team Galactic to remake the universe into one without emotions.
To counteract that we need the surprise appearance of A good Cyrus…. Or even a repentant one to help combat this twisted mirror of Cynthia they’re facing.
Alternatively, think of a Platinum timeline without the player character, where Cynthia teams up with Giratina vs Cyrus / Galactic, and decides to take over Sinnoh to prevent another Cyrus from happening.
This theme is perfect, it gives me vibes of a scenario in which Cynthia was brought back time with you and lost her memory and she was found by another guild that's entrusted to keep Giritina safe or being used by the wrong hands, like she's the last boss before you can catch Giritina thus leading to Arceus
This theme for some reason brings back the anxiety I had from battling Cynthia the first time I played platinum more then the actual battle theme from the game.
or in Sinnoh, learns of her history from her mother in Celestic Town, and instead of striving to save sinnoh during the red chain, beats off Cirus and takes control of the legendaries herself
I dont know how many people here accualy played Masters EX but renegade cynthia and giratina is a sync pair that you can get to command in battle. And damn this theme suits her wellness. EDIT: i put this on while destroying the battle villa with her and it felt great.

@lecanoscoptical3455 Cause all Volo wanted was to he acknowledged and to meet Arceus. His goals weren't to destroy anything or create a new universe, he was just blinded by the ambition to know. Much like how Kamado's ambition to have a power capable of protecting his people and faction in the case of war or strife where they could be caught in the crossfire or strong armed to pick a side. Volo isn't as bad as he seems, he kinda is just misguided and lost himself in the pursuit of his wishes. Feeling regret for his betrayal after you defeat him.
Kinda hoped Renegrade Cynthia theme in master (aka the cynthia encounter/volo battle theme) can be incorporated in this, but the Giratina theme works fine as hell!

I know you just did this, but can you do a what if remix for her as if she were in Scarlet/Violet as an easter egg battle? There will probably be ancient stuff to look at in the Area Zero DLC zones and that does attract her and Steven as well.
This makes me want a platinum remake, but at the end before you get the chance to catch Giratina you have to fight him and Cynthia in a double battle. Like at the start of the fight you see her standing next to Giratina before she sends out Spiritomb.
This Cynthia has Alpha Versions of her canon team and they still have perfect IV’s and Maxed out EV’s. She also uses Full Restores for each of them 3 times minimum throughout the battle.
