If 3rd Ver. Pokemon games still happened today, you would face Turo and Sada in a double battle with Arven being your second.
Or imagine this… in the alternate universe of the third game, you would be helping Sada and Turo, by finding the Herba Mystica to heal their Dead Son Arven’s Mabostiff.
They got divorced soon after he died in area zero, and haven’t talked for years- until they learn that Mabostiff is sick. Mabostiff is the only thing they have left of their son… So they enlist the player character to help find the herbas.
Then when you finally reach the end of the game- you face an A.I. Arven, who tells them that he forgives them, and is thankful that they helped Mabostiff. You then have to defeat the A.I. Arven to stop the time machine that the professors built.
Scarlet’s ending made me shed a few tears, this ending would actually have me balling.

@@Jay75364 but what if, instead, everything in Scarlet/Violet was the same except Arven was the android and not the professors? Their son dies, get a divorce, builds robot son to fill the empty Arven-shaped hole in their Arven-shaped hearts, realize what they have done and slowly cut off communication with him?
I like how calm this one is compared to other interpretations. Makes you appreciate the melody more, and feels more… meaningful, in a way? Like the gravity of the whole situation is just slowly setting in.
Agreed. It lets you really feel the tension without making it the music equivalent of an anxiety attack
Professor Turo and Sada names are references to their dreams
In Spanish future is "Futuro"
In Spanish Past is "Pasada"

Also the writer loves Chrono Trigger and was thinking of Ayla almost non-stop while writing Sada. Turo on the other hand... the Filipino turon and Lilo & Stitch. Haha XD
Sprigatito has gatito- meaning little kitty. but in portguese it means devious
tiny correction, past is pasado. Spanish words are gendered (pasado would be masculine, lluvia is feminine, etc), so they (probably) changed it to sada to match the character's gender. Great catch though! I'm from a spanish speaking country and had not noticed.
Koraidon and Mirairdon aswell, in Korai means Past in Jap. and Mirai as future in Japanese.

I equate this theme to Colress's theme which, for the longest time, has been my favorite battle theme ever since I got into Pokemon Music. I never thought I'd see that day when that theme would be overtaken. Then a Gigachad AI professor dropped a Master Ball from his perch, and Colress took the backseat.
I guess ambition-blinded, overly obsessed Pokemon researchers are sorta your thing.

I've heard many takes on this song, and people proved it's hard to screw up, surprisingly enough. This one, however, in my humble opinion, is in the top shelf category! It stands for the same values the original stood for, but mixed them with some extra spice to still make it stand out. It really stands out among the majority of covers I've heard, and while it still has solid contenders, it's hard to deny that your work is still really, really great!

"Hard to screw up" fits any Toby Fox song, really.
@@MirrorHall_Clay Not necessarily. He does have great music all around, but some of the songs have proven to be difficult to cover and keep up the level of quality. Plus, since he is incredibly popular as an artist, it's not hard to find inexperienced or lazy people trying to just fetch some views, regardless of how good it actually came out.
Not gonna lie, I do also partially say that because that's what I tried too in the early months of my cover portfolio.l
It truly stands side by side with the Itoki Hana cover
The only thing missing from this video is a menacing Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant alongside their equally menacing professors. I really want to see that kind of art.

I would've liked to see more of Professor Sada/Turo in the game. I felt that we knew so little about what happened, and their appearance was too quick and too short.

@DylanVsTheWorld They had massive contributions to Paldea before the MC arrived. I liked the spin on Game Freak using the sciency side of the word Professor more than the teacher part of it this time
I think that’s one way the writing in this game could’ve been improved, by weaving the paths together in some ways. SV plot definitely are far from perfect, but it was still one hell of a ride and a great addition to the series.
The DLC is gonna have us coming back to Area Zero after the content of the two waves, so maybe something will come out of that
Darn, this arrangement is beyond impressive. I may not have the games, but I have listened to this theme and this arrangement blows it out of the water in my opinion. Keep up the amazing work, Zame!
A lot of this sounds kind of like the really intense music that might play during the dialogue right before a dramatic showdown starts
Edit: this wasn't a criticism btw I like it, it's just less frenetic and "battle-y" than the original
When I listen to remixes, I tend to judge them based on how well they deliver my own personal favorite part of the original track. Safe to say that you absolutely nailed it in this one. Amazing work!

I must admit that this is a song that almost got it perfect, the area I believe would of made this better is if the alarm sounding parts had the same feel as the original. Besides that this is an amazingly done version

I always loved the original part at 3:19, but this took it even further with my love for rhythm and texture. Somehow it managed to sound like a mix of past and future, the drums giving a primal feel while having the effects make it feel more futuristic. Absolutely love it.
I didn't think any remix of this theme would please me but this one... absolutely love it. Thank you for taking the time to make it and please our ears.

Loving all of these remixes of this song that I have seen going around. This one is definitely a cool one!
so far one of the versions I love the most, I imagine it would play if:
(in a dlc) the professor actually not died and instead went to the future/past of their dreams, and via it re-started the time machine from the alternative time, sending even more past/future paradox pokemons to paldea (and other places?), and this time you would have to enter yourself in the machine to find them, and battle them to put a stop on their craziness

Instrumentation really makes the difference, this feels way better and more Pokémon-ish than the original
Toby in SV really did the attempt of using better quality instrumentation (Plugins and probably more professional libraries) and dropping from only soundfonts for a little, but even so he used his really questionable instrumentation at least here (Like, default FL Studio samples??? Just why?)
This feels like an approach or what-if Minako Adachi or Go Ichinose arranged the song, and i love that aspect

I love this!! I put on my most expensive suit just to listen to this!! You nailed it. I say this a lot, but you have a little 'Yoko Shimomura' factor in a few of your remixes... The way you employed the church organ and choir into this made me feel like I was playing Kingdom Hearts for a second. Your percussion is also, as always, second to none. I hope Toby likes it, he should.. show yourself, Toby Fox!!!

Since the original sounded more futuristic for Turo, I feel that it was lacking in ancient vibes. This one feels more like Sada's version though and I love it.

Pokemon really seem to love family drama. Well, in this case tragedy is a better term, poor Arven loses both his parents (the professor's partner is always out of the picture) and after thinking that he's not loved for the longest time he discovers the truth and has to face a robotic version of them. At least there are the player, Penny and Nemona with him.

This version has an air of intimidation to it that makes me feel like it's channeling Arven's pent up trauma. A part of me almost prefers the idea of this being an eerie encounter instead of a period of great BGM while you try to figure out what the hell is happening in the game.

Honestly, The Original version of the theme is one of the rare instances where the remixes just couldn't outshine the original; Toby fox is just that powerful. But you still did an incredible job on this remix Zame!
