I've been following your whaleback sharpie proa conversion in proafile forum, and think it is a great project, as it shows that not being happy with something doesn't mean that's the end of it. Have you weighed it? I've been gravitating towards a P5 or T2 partially because they are easier to get up-and-down the beach than my current stretched Ulua. But your low draft is appealing. Seems like your requirements are very similar to my own - including not sweating the windward performance that much as long as I can get home.
