    Chris,
After working two twelve hour shifts from 11am to 11pm in this sweltering 106 degree eastern Oregon heat I can tell you that the mountains of Colorado look like heaven! The snowy peaks and cool rushing streams make me want to pack the Jeep up and leave for the mountains, but reality hits home and alas, I am about out of vacation time for this year. We really enjoyed this weeks episode. Thanks for taking us along!

High Mountain Pies!!! One of my favorite pie joints in the west. I lived in Leadville for over 10 years in the 90s & 00s, this vid is making me mighty homesick for those mountains. I spent a whole lot of time in them and probably traveled all of those same trails in this episode. I was a Search & Rescue EMT those years and been up most of the peaks in summer & winter on rescue missions. Amazing to me how busy town was, but not surprised. I have to get back sometime soon. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful scenery, well shot! Still no sightings of the elusive Shannon. We know she is there because, 1)the Revel is not self driving, 2)Chis is smiling a lot, and 3) he is wearing shirts with collars. 😁Enjoy the wonderful outdoors!

For everyone asking about the Texas plates - I can't answer for Chris, but a lot of full time travelers establish Texas residency because there's no state income tax and it's relatively easy to get residency. There are a few other states that are also popular for the same reason, but if you have family or friends in Texas it makes a really good "home base" when your real home travels with you.

    • @thomasdurant7907

It's also in the middle of the country, which makes it a lot easier to get to the PO box. He used to have his Jeep registered in PA and I always thought that seemed impractical.

Most good pizza ovens are domed. You know the domed lids that are sold with cheap woks? I find them often in second hand stores. They cover a field pizza well and seem to get a crisper, more cooked top. Failing that some second hand stainless bowls of the right size, a drill and some hardware store knobs also up the field pizza game.
