    I've been waiting for this to be completed for years.
    In the past, Japanese and Chinese fans have built F35Bs and successfully performed vertical takeoff and landing, but I don't recall ever achieving a completely vertical takeoff and landing with such a complete aircraft.
    Congratulations from the bottom of my heart.

      Yep that is a great plan, we will do that on the kestrel model to start with to give extra dimension

    Hi Joel, big fan of your work! I'm working on a VTOL EDF jet myself and I managed the transition well, inboud as well as outbound. Since we both use a similar configuration (tilting main rear EDF, fixed front and wing EDF's), you could maybe use a similar approach as I did. I had the exact same issue as in the video: nose going up violently at the end of the transition. I solved it using this 3 stage transition:
    1) Tilt main EDF from 0 to 45 degrees. Plane still fully in multirotor mode
    2) Tilt main EDF from 45 to 70 degrees. Plane still fully in multirotor mode. During this stage, the nose already wants to go up. To mitigate this, I mixed tilt angle to cause a pitch down. So the more the main EDF tilts, the more pitch down (basically resulting in the front motor decreasing speed, thus lowering the nose)
    3) The last stage is the most critical one, so I made it as fast as possible, like 0.1 sec. During this stage, the main EDF tilts from 70 to 90 degrees. At once. At the same time, I do the actual transition from multirotor to normal plane. So the front and wing motors stop immediately.
    It's not perfect yet, there is a small/short dive on this point. But it's very predictable and controllable. In fact, it recovers by itself, since the first 3 seconds of the forward flight, automatic autolevel is used. See my video to get an idea:

    very cool but also looks dangerous.I think your 3BSM should switch to P1.n for accelerate few seconds and then FFF.Is the throttle transition curve on kk board not working correctly?

    Can you explain please, is this transition being done with a different size aircraft to the one we saw doing regular take off and landing a few days previous? How many variants now? Also when you put specs on screen there is only motor battery combination but no wing span or length or weight to help us visualise. Great upgrade list. Looking forward to lower better stabilised transitions. The thrust to weight is truelly remarkable. Well done.

      Arround 3minutes as average, normal take of with the thrust vector is like 3-4min flight

    Small tip auto focus is a bad thing when trying to film small flying things against a background of the same colour... just my 50 eurocents.
    Volg je al een tijdje en moet zeggen ge-wel-fig wat je doet met RC je bent al volgroeid hierin maat ^^

      @@Joelmelanie komt en gaat dagelijks kan ik U zeggen ^^
      Ben zelf al jaren geïnteresseerd in VTOL (zeg maar vanaf de jaren 90 want tiener toen ) staan een boel drones online met vleugels zeg maar, maar bijna niemand maakt de echte (die al vliegen of hebben gevlogen) na met zo veel detail en bijna niemand maakt een eigen ontwerp en normaal uitziende VTOL zonder 200 kleine propellers.
      Ergens wel een vid gezien van een model (poc) waarbij een straalmoter voor vtol gebruikt wordt maar zonder te kantelen.
      Door een koude luchtstroom die door de lagere druk van de uitlaat wordt aangezogen en gemixt met de straal van de turbine maar zo dus toch een koude luchtstraal realiseerd.
      Ben de video kwijt maar als ik hem weer tegen kom stuur ik deze je door want de gedachte erachter was geniaal.
      En daarmee kom ik tot een einde geniaal is ook een goede omschrijving van jouw kunde hier ter aanzicht ^^

      @@Joelmelanie hehehe maar ik bedoelde hier meer voor menselijke vliegtuigen... al zijn het meer drones en die ik als laatste noemde is best ok en een doordachte manier van stuwing genereren.
