That's what I paid for my Blue label priced Gen519 4 years ago. I love it now but we all know even with the discount Glocks are seriously overpriced. Why? Well, because when they were releasing to the US market Gaston wanted them cheap but his salesmen told him it would ruin the acceptance and image of the product. PSA is a little less refined but showed us how much these things could really cost 😂
Awesome Ben. If you feel like indulging the nerds, I'd love to hear an additional comparison of the 47 to the 34, once you've had time to play with the 47. My take, as a newer shooter that just started shooting USPSA, is that I am slightly better with the 34 on shots that require confirmation 3 shooting but on stages with a lot of close up shots, transitions, and movement, I feel like I can more quickly and consistently send confirmation 2 shots with the 47. My timer doesn't always show that to be true though. I guess my TLDR would be, if you want to carry what you compete with or shoot IPSC, choose the 47, if you like to party, choose the 34. Either one will work.
What brand Microwave is that on top of your 47? How many times have you experienced a problem putting the Mag in the Hole? And do you enjoy putting plugs in your hole?
Hi Ben. Thanks for these videos! How many Glocks do you have at this point? Why did you buy a new one? What happens with the older ones? This is not criticism, just trying to understand the way you manage the tools for your job.
You can do your nice heavy cheap plug by yourself. Buy some tungsten powder, mix it with epoxy, tape enter of the hole, put in the mixture, wait for cure. Permanent but makes the job done.
The brass weight is about 80 bucks from the Pro Shop and An Apex Trigger with connector is around $135. So for the price of a Glock plus a little more than 200 bucks you can have a gun that performs as good as a Stacato..
It takes more work and will never shoot the same. I can do the same with my stock Glock as I can my staccato, except past 75 yards and beyond. If money is a concern, no way should you consider a staccato.
@@rolotomase1440different trigger, different grip angle, different frame material, different weight distribution, different accuracy tolerances. Ben can shoot a Glock better than you can shoot a Staccato, but the Staccato is still a faster, softer, more accurate shooting gun
@@Bluwrx I know the guns are different. I'm just curious what a person can do with a Stacato they are unable to do wtih a Glock. Also interested to know how a Stacato is faster, softer and more accurate. I might concede the accuracy part but "softer" and "faster" are often subjective descriptors used by people that aren't' very good shooters. Is this a scenario where somebody can shoot an El Pres in 11 seconds with a Glock but do it in 10 with a Stacatto or?
And also after all these years convinced people that a g19/45 recoil spring belongs in a 17. I’m sure it’s fine but not the best performing. You know what’s faster than modularity? Going into your range bag and switching guns. You don’t have to take anything apart. 😂
They may not look different, but they are different. Different materials used in the polymer, ease of maintenance(remember the 3rd Gen slide stop was single sided and could easily damage that spring). But I get what people complain about, but how much different is a 1911/AK/AR/226…etc than from 50-100 years ago.
I started shooting the G47 at the beginning of the year with my local Hit Factor club. Only thing different I have than yours is SRO, grip tape, and the Johnny Glock Evolution-X trigger (using the 4.5# striker spring for 100% reliability). I've used the same Apex trigger you have and the Johnny Glock full kit is noticeably better (also reliable most importantly) but probably not $400 better than the Apex is what I've concluded. I don't regret paying that much for the trigger because I'm rich and can afford it. Other than that, its another Glock...not too interesting really. Also NDZ Performance has a really good extended magazine release button when paired with Rock Your Glock reduced magazine release spring where you don't have to flip the gun in your hand to hit the mag button. Much better than the OEM extended and standard buttons. Worth the $20 and can be customized with an engraving most importantly.
Some work, some don’t. Of my three, one has been flawless. Going back and forth currently because the set screw for the take up/reset backs out after 200 rds. He is replacing it, but be prepared for slow movement on support. Skip his striker, that’s a waste and you can polish it yourself.
Is that what I was supposed to do? Wow, never thought of that. I did that mr gunsmith. He agrees it’s defective and is sending a new one. Just like the striker that would not work in any of my Glocks or my friends.
@@Rubeless you didn’t state that you already tried that and Jonny confirmed it was defective Mr. Information leaver outer. Sorry you are all upset about it.
Dude told me two days ago he carries a revolver because he had a malfunction with a Glock. He does college security and carries 12 rounds…he couldn’t describe the malfunction but said he was using “special reloads”. He is definitely re something.

I like your take on products, sometimes good shit breaks, o well shit happens.
Everything breaks, good products don’t break nearly as much.
I recently switched from a G17.4 with RMR to the G47 with SCS and LOVE it (non-competition, just CCW/Work use).
Keep us posted, I am curious how that one feels under recoil vs your 34 or a 17 with the same springs inside.
Mines just like that with the addition of Talon Grip tape and a Holosun 507 Comp 2MOA. It's good to go!

It’s the hotness. You know it. Will you try the holosun scs mos?
Ben do you ever answer any questions asked in the comments section?
Yes, he does videos addressing comments directly.
No… not in my case lol I bet I’ve asked 20 questions, and have NEVER got an answer (in the comments, or video).
The 1980’s called and wants their kitchen back, lol. What’s the brand of the grip plug?

Are you going to do one on your thoughts about the Radian Ramjet & Afterburner rage. Please please please.
With all the training ben does. It's obvious choice is the glock. It's just runs!
Ben, you should try out the rdo plate by Eleven 71 Design!!
You can do your nice heavy cheap plug by yourself. Buy some tungsten powder, mix it with epoxy, tape enter of the hole, put in the mixture, wait for cure. Permanent but makes the job done.
No thanks, I'll spend $20 rather than deal with all that hassle.
Please review Johnny Glock triggers
CH kit and plate worked well for me. Tight and never had an issue with anything backing out or breaking.
Looks like the grip plug is the C&H Precision Weapon Systems (CHPWS) SPEED FEED grip plug, NOT CHEAP!
Probably CHPWS speed feed
Glizzy setup yurrrrrrr 🔥
No switches boi
There is no small backstrap. Only medium or large. The gun with no backstrap is the small configuration.
With the backstrap only having S, M and L is there nobody making 2 more in between?
That seems like a good product to have.
I just received a CH precision plate for the Glock MOS 509t. I think im going to take a loss on it because that thing just flops around in the mount.
Thanks for tip on the back strap. Totally agree. Why 47 and not 17?
I think the 17 mos is discontinued
It’s not discontinued
The 47 was made for the border patrol. They can run it like a 17 or 45.
