I've been watching a bunch of pupusa videos and yours is the best one. I'm dying to make pupusas at home and I'm gonna follow your directions. I'm so nervous. Wish me luck!
Same here. Your comment is exactly what I was going to write! It's what's for dinner tonight! Wish me luck
Same!
It will mean more than you know that you are trying…don’t expect perfection the first time, but you will definitely get there! Sending hugs!
Thank you Even Cubans tell me the Same thing 🙏
😊😊😊😊😊
My husband is Salvadoran 🥰 I definitely want to learn his culture more and make his comfort food. I’m a southern girl so I’m raised on fried chicken corn bread greens Mac n cheese pork chops and sweet tea. He loves it but I know there’s nothing like your home cooking. Thank you for the recipe - God Bless
So sweet! God bless you too
Girl you already have heads up with great southern cooking .
Skip the lard to fry the pork in, not needed, the meat itself will produce its own lard!
@StraightUpTruthSalvadorans (Spanish: Salvadoreños), also known as Salvadorians, Salvi or Salvadoreans, are citizens of El Salvador. - I hope you have a blessed day. Make sure you start with that ❤️
@StraightUpTruth WHY don't you start with "Thank you for trying to learn about our National Gastronomy" Just STOP being so critical! 🌋🇸🇻🗽🇺🇸🌋
I am from Saudi Arabia and was on vacation in San Salvador in June . I fell in love with Papusas ❤️❤️
Wow 😮 very well
U ate pork pupusas
I am Salvadorian and I got to say, she is pretty accurate with how she is making the pupusas. The only difference is that I cook the pork meat in a pot half way full with water and once it's cooked, I blend some tomatoes, green bell peppers, half an onion, and some garlic into a sauce to give it some more flavor and color, then I crush the meat while it has the sauce and I cook it until it is about dry. I also mix all the ingredients together for the revueltas, instead of adding them in one by one. Still, it was a good video :)
You add the meat to the sauce? Ok good idea.thank you
I’m Italian, first gen, & I SSSSOOOO want to make this recipe but use your technique! I love my culture’s food, but I also love the food of all cultures…& love finding the similarities & differences…with my friends too!!! 💗💗💗
It’s always fun to be creative and try new foods, everybody who’s tried pupusas from my group of friends loves them 😄
I do the same
Finally a video that is super easy to follow and understand. They look amazing, I could smell them through my computer. Thank you
But is missing main ingredient loroco for cheese, gives it a incredible flavor
I love this video. This person does this video with such patience and detail in how to make pupusas. I love it. God bless all the people that feeds others.
Thanks 🙏
why is this so underrated ? Never heard about pupusas before seeing this video !
Definitely gonna try this next weekend. Many warm thanks from France
I hope you tried them, they’re the best, I grew up eating these and I never get sick of them
Because it is not considered gourmet! Many good and delicious food goes under the radar. Bon appetit!!
I think it depends on the part of the world you are in. I'm in Arizona. And we love them here. I am so lucky to know Salvadoran people who will make them 💖
They are so freakin' good! Unfortunately hard to find in Australia, and i just can't make th m the same as in El Sal. The bits of cheese coming out of the pupusas as they cook, makes it extra tasty imho. Also gotta have cortido, with jalapeno. You can also put other things like grated zucchini, basil, chili etc
Latin America has a lot of great food you don't know about if you don't have access to their culture like al pastor, Mexico's greatest export second only to tequila.
My man is from El Salvador I’m learning this ❤️🥰
@@russia1305 are you from Russia?
@@elpupusero lol no
@@russia1305 lol
My husband is too I must learn this asap ♥
Lol same sis
I had neighbors that would make these and I fell in love with the food. 💜💜💜💜 #honduras #el Salvador
9/24/23: After 10 long years, I went to a Salvadorian restaurant on yesterday and had some Pupusas. OMG, the flavor and texture brought back so many good memories. They've gotten expensive, though, $3.99 for one -- YIKES! Since I enjoy cooking a lot, I'm gonna make my own TODAY by following your recipe, and that way I can eat as many as I like. I've seen a few Pupusas recipes in the last hour or so, but I like yours the best. Thank you for sharing your technique. I can't wait...YUM!! 😋
Wow 🤩 Thanks 🙏 my friend
Delicious! What’s not to love about PUPUSASSS they’re absolutely delicious 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
🙏🙏🙏
Dang that’s some good hand work for the pupusas! Like a pro! I have failed so many times making them. Now I see people use oil on their hands and big balls to start.
Never knew it takes a lot of work to make them, they look so delicious btw🤤
Your voice is so soothing
Actually she sounds like an 80 years old grandma.
I love her voice!
My wife is from Honduras and I’m learning since I’m the cook 👨🍳😝
Same bro ! My girl from El Salvador though
She doesn’t cook? What exactly she do then just babies? 😅
I have a friend from El Salvador and he showed me pupusas and ever since they’ve been one of my favourite foods
My dad is from there! They’re so good ugh craving right now haha
The music has some Chef John vibes
Hello everyone! Chef John here from Foodwishes and today we’re making, that’s right, Pupusas!
The best I had is in Quebec City's restaurant called La Salsas, my favorite Latin food place ever...from someone who lived almost 10 years in Costa Rica, Colombia and Honduras. Sounds like this video will motivate me to try this recipe.
Muchas gracias
Amor, Paz y Fuerza 💙🙏💙
Thanks 🙏
I made these for my family tonight and they were amazing! Thank you for such a great and easy recipe to follow!!! Also I used wild hog meat my husband hunted instead of pork from the grocery store and it was great!
Where did he hunt wild hogs?
Oooohhhhh the wild boar I bet was delicious!!! 💗💗💗
INCREDIBLE!!! I'm a vegetarian, so, my son and I omit the pork, but WOW! This is so delicious...thank you for this receta!
My abuelita used to make nicaraguan rellenas which are literally pupusas just without the curtido. My siblings and I also love pizza so she would spread homemade pizza sauce and salami all over the rellena essentially modifying them into corn-based pizzas with chicharron fillings, cheese fillings, or both with the rellena revuelta. Ever since she's moved back to Nicaragua i've been eating pupusas non-stop, love salvadoran food, thank you 🙏
Que linda su abuela 👵 bonitos recuerdos
Saludos
@@solcocinaymas Muchas gracias hermana Salvadoreña, me suscribí y dios bendiga 🙏

Excelente!
Very nice demo, thank you! I love Pupusas but they are heavy in carbs so have it occasionally only. Very nice to understand all the Spanish words like Chicharron. Best Pupusas I had were in a small alley shop at Venice Beach. $2 each, delicious!
When you deep fry anything like the pork pieces, the oil must be smoking hot or it will absorb into the meat and become greasy.
Never use a metal tool on a Teflon pan or you will ingest bits of Teflon - unsafe.
I liked your method of folding them and taking out the excess dough. Very good technique. Thanks!
Came across this video a few months ago and my family is finally going to try to make it tonight!! 😃 Can't wait to see how they come out!
